Seconds from Paddington station and surrounded by restaurants and fast food outlets. Although a busy part of London the room was quiet. Room well furnished, clean, good shower albeit small but still pefectly acceptable. Value very good.

The room although small as you would expect for central London was clean and comfortable. Despite the hustle and bustle outside there is no light or noise to disturb you.
Reception were friendly and efficient. I had no trouble accessing the wifi and was able to work easily on the small desk provided. I am not sure if the description of the power shower is correct (not powerful) but there was plenty of hot water. I would definitely stay again when i need to be close to the Paddington area.

Our superior room was spacious and very clean. It had everything we needed including tea/coffee and soft drinks in the minifridge. These were restocked the next morning when the room was cleaned.

Have stayed at other locations within the group and this was on par if not better that some of the others. Great room and customer service was excellent, well done

I spent 3 nights at the Paddington Mercure, it has a great location, next door to the station, and easy access to central London. My room was fine, very comfortable beds and well supplied with everything I needed. The only downside would be the size of the room. I was on my own so it was fine for me, but it was a double, and I wouldn't have liked to share. For that reason I'm glad I went through Laterooms and had a discounted price. One other thing, if you like tea for breakfast, make sure you order an individual pot, as the tea served by the staff was invariable lukewarm.

This hotel was just perfect for my quick trip to London - less than 5mins walk from Paddington rail I was very quickly and efficiently checked-in, fell into bed in a warm comfortable room and got a good night's sleep despite the slightly noisy environment. Lovely warm shower in the morning and I was off! The staff kindly looked after my luggage for me and I was able to retrieve it in a rush when running late for my return train - all in all it was excellent.

Really lovely experience no problems at all

The room was tiny, overlooking an air conditioning shaft. The window catch was broken something that is unerving. The air conditioning unit in the room didn't work - the room was stifflingly hot. The bed was very uncomfortable - the next morning I had backache.

Room was very small. Barely enough room for 1 person in a double room. No way I could have coped with my husband in there too! 4 star kit but 3 star or less size.

Perfect location, less than 5mins from Heathrow Express, Main-line station, & Tube.
Signs of very recent makeover, to the standard expected of a Mercure chain hotel. Friendly staff, & plenty of cheaper alternatives nearby for breakfast than the on-site "Garfunkels"
Significantly cheaper than West End equivalents, so good value for an overnight stay on business.

I booked a single room which was very much for one person but perfectly formed all the same. All facilities were okay, great and clean shower with conditioning shampoo, shower gel, soap... the hairdryer was decent too and the TV had various up to date movies available at £5.99 each.
Bed was comfortable and most surprisingly, the room was really quiet considering the location is right by Paddington Station and Praed Street is a busy road. That's because I was at the back of the hotel though so if you have a chance, perhaps worth requesting when you check in...

A very clean hotel, great location, but the contempory double was suppose to be bigger than a standard, if this is the case then i would not of liked to stay in a standard room. The room was tiny, and the bathroom really small. However everything was clean, and tidy. At the end of the day we were only staying 1 night, and it was just somewere to put our heads at the end of the day. Would not like to stay for a week in the same room. Cannot comment on the food, as we did not eat there. Would stay there again.

Due to traffic problems in London pick up and drop off is not too convenient at this hotel.
The size of the bathroom is very small for a tall person (6' 2") and the space between the toilet and the wash sink is non-existent. For this reason I feel that the cost of the room is very high compared to other hotels where we have stayed.

I have stayed in quite a few hotels around Paddington however this was the cleanest - more expensive though and no breakfast included. The room was very clean but tiny - why they bothered with all the furniture I really don't know - there was no way of sitting in the chair under the dressing table as it hit the single bed when you pulled it out. There was a huge Plasma TV on the wall but there was no where in the room you were far enough away from it to appreciate it.
Stay was for only one night so not too big a deal. I am not sure where else to stay though next time as the cheaper hotels weren't nice.

I read the reviews before booking. Lived up to my expectations. Great location for early start from Paddington. Room not huge, but was fine for what I needed for one night. Staff helpful on reception. would definitely stay again.

The quality crown is a very clean hotel. our room was tiny. tiny. really small. it was fine for one night as we wanted to leave from Paddington station in the morning. It would be too small to stay for more than one night. there was barely a foot clearance around the bed . my husband and i couldn't walk around the foot of the bed together. one of us had to move to the bed so the other could get by. we have stayed in London 4 times, and I know the standard of room space is small. this was a lot smaller than that. But, i have to say the bed was good and the linen was good. so, it is fine for one night. the restaurant that serves breakfast is awful. Even if it is free, go somewhere else. oh yes, and we were in an executive room. i can't begin to imagine how small a standard room was.

My 19 yr. old son and I had a twin room on 3rd floor. The word cramped comes to mind. Otherwise clean and well attended by cleaning staff. Noisy, but not fatally so. Front door is about 40 feet from the Paddington tube entrance and 60 from the railway entrance. Will definitely use again.

The room was ok, functional not "executive" as billed. No bath. Terrible air con.
At least 33% over priced compared to other hotel I stay in in London.
