An unusual world record attempt will be launched at London’s Wembley Stadium next month, which coincides with World Maths Day.
Visitors to the capital staying at one of the many hotels London has to offer may even run into legendary footballer Trevor Brooking CBE, who will be speaking at the event.
Taking place on March 2nd, organisers of the event 3P Learning are attempting to celebrate mathematics by encouraging as many youngsters as possible around the world to carry out a test on the internet at the same time.
Tim Power, chief executive of the firm, explained: “This year we’re attempting to set a Guinness World Record for the largest online maths competition.”
Brooking has been brought in to help launch the bid and he will also be talking to children in attendance at Wembley Stadium.
One record recently broken in London is for the longest ever ‘keepy-uppy’ journey with a football, which was set by Dan Magness last month when he travelled 30 miles.
