Ofili exhibition opens at the Tate Britain in London

People staying at the Think Tower Bridge hotel in London over the next few months may want to combine a leisurely stroll along the banks of the Thames with a visit to one of the city’s many art galleries.

On January 27th, a new exhibition of works by British artist Chris Ofili opened at the Tate Britain.
Tate BritainHis colourful pieces will be on show at the establishment until May and offer visitors an opportunity to appreciate his bold and striking artistic offerings.

Ofili won the Turner Prize in 1998 and has since gone on to represent Great Britain at an international art competition in Venice.

The painter is also renowned for including unusual materials in his works, including balls of elephant dung, resin, map pins and magazine cut-outs.

His pictures are described as “exuberant” on the Tate Britain website and could certainly add some colour to a dreary winter’s day.

Other exhibitions currently on display in the gallery include Art Now: Andy Holden and long-running installation Colour and Line: Turner’s Experiments.ADNFCR-3118-ID-19584460-ADNFCR
