According to the Daily Telegraph, this cosmopolitan area is characterised by a “lived-in elegance” and should appeal to visitors who have exhausted the city’s more popular tourist destinations.
Walking the length of the famous Portobello Road Market offers people using hotels in London a chance to experience the “multiple moods” of Notting Hill, the newspaper stated.
For entertainment and eating, visitors are advised to take in a film at the restored Electric Cinema and then head to nearby Asian restaurant E&O for some simple yet spicy cuisine.
The publication also recommended tasting the Italian ice cream from Gelato Mio on Pembridge Road.
Situated in the borough of Kensington and Chelsea, Notting Hill was made famous among non-Londoners by the 1999 romantic comedy starring Julia Roberts and Hugh Grant.
