Luxury fashion house Louis Vuitton is set to open its latest flagship store in New Bond Street to the public on Friday (May 28th).
The new boutique could prompt fans of the famous brand to book a hotel in London, as it has been billed as the most extravagant Louis Vuitton outlet to date.
Designed by architect Peter Marino, the interior of the store is adorned with contemporary artworks by the likes of Damien Hirst, Jeff Koons and Jean-Michel Basquiat.
There is also a private shopping area known as The Apartment and a LED staircase to connect the three floors.
“People come to Louis Vuitton stores not only for shopping but also to experience a certain way of life,” Yves Carcelle, Louis Vuitton’s chief executive, told the Financial Times.
“These stores, named Maisons, have become our iconic landmarks across the world.”
A party to celebrate the new boutique took place on Tuesday night and was attended by the likes of Gwyneth Paltrow, Jude Law, Alexa Chung and Kirsten Dunst.
