Holidaymakers urged to experience London’s summer events

The large number of special events makes London a great place to visit during the warmer months, according to one expert.

Hampton CourtSpokesperson for Visit London Jacqueline French said occasions such as the opening of Buckingham Palace and the Notting Hill Carnival demonstrate the diversity offered by the capital during the summer.

She pointed out that people booking London hotels at this time of year can also look forward to spending time in the city’s famous public parks and green spaces.

“London offers so much for visitors in the summer, whether it is the parks and open spaces [or] free museums both large and small,” Ms French commented.

Other summer events recommended by Visit London include London Pride and the Hampton Court Flower Show, which is due to take place from July 6th to 11th.

The flower show is the largest event of its kind in the world and has adopted a Shakesperean theme this year, with six gardens inspired by the legendary dramatist’s plays.
