London fans to see Roger Waters perform The Wall

Three concerts in London next year will offer UK fans their first opportunity to see Roger Waters perform Pink Floyd’s groundbreaking double album The Wall once more.

Roger WatersSpeaking at a press conference in the capital on Thursday (May 27th), the musician unveiled plans to resurrect the famous live show that accompanied the 1979 release.

In an announcement that is sure to inspire many Pink Floyd devotees to book hotels London, he has confirmed concerts at the O2 Arena on May 11th, 12th and 17th 2011.

Waters will also perform the famous concept album at gigs in Manchester and Dublin as part of a wider European tour.

In an interview with the BBC, the 66-year-old suggested the concerts may represent the last time for fans to see him on stage.

“I shall certainly go on working but whether I’ll do any more big tours I don’t know,” he said.

“My fiancee said to me, ‘if you’re going to go out and do it again, do The Wall.’”

Chelsea supporters in London celebrate Premier League trophy

The Premier League was won by Chelsea in emphatic style at the weekend, as they drubbed Wigan 8-0 to pick up the title on the final day of the season.

StreetDance 3D premieres in London

A host of stars were spotted on the red carpet in London as new movie StreetDance 3D received its premiere on Monday night (May 10th).

Dance troupe Flawless, who star in the film alongside fellow Britain’s Got Talent acts Diversity and George Sampson, gave a typically energetic performance to fans gathered outside the Empire in Leicester Square.

London’s skyscraper restaurant to take public bookings

Currently a members-only club, Paramount is located on the 32nd floor of the Centre Point tower in central London and may be familiar to those who have used Kensington hotels.

American Idol star ‘loves London’
