What a lovely hotel Staff were so friendly...
What a lovely hotel. Staff were so friendly and helpful. Accommodation was superb, one of the best hotels we've stayed in. (would put on a par with the Waldorf hotel in new york, but in a different sense, much more modern, but stay just as wonderful) Had a fantastic view of the houses of parlaiment and london eye. Bus stop right outside hotel, which for tourists is great value.

The customer service was excellent. Not a typical family hotel, but the room was perfect.
Some noise from the railway behind the hotel, and the room service food was average. Nevertheless will this hotel very probably be revisited.

We stayed at the Plaza on the River...
We stayed at the Plaza on the River for my birthday in February.
The apartment was pretty swanky, and a very high standard of luxury (particularly if you compare with a hotel suite in London) although some of the furnishings were a little on the cheap site and showing signs of wear and tear.
The only thing I would mention is that all of the advertising (including the Late Rooms pictures) implies beautiful views of the Thames but you do not get this by default. We managed to get a partial river view because I e-mailed the Plaza on the River in advance. I heard more than one person complaining the next morning in reception that they did not get a river view.
I do think it is a little bit cheeky to imply views of the Thames in the advertising without making it clear that a river view is an upgrade.

The location was good, tube about 5/10 min walk away. Have previously stayed in these apartments before, however the stay was not as good as last time. The first time I stayed in these apartments I would have described the apartment as immaculate and defo 5 star standard, however on this occasion accomodation and wear and tear on apartment could be seen. I bit of a disappointment to my friend who I had promised this would be an out of this world apartment. It was very clean and the service was good. I have since stayed in better quality apartments in the centre of London. Would probably go back if the apartments had been refurbished.

Paid a lot for this hotel, I was traveling with a female work colleague and therefore booked a twin but was given a double. Reception not interested, would not help at all, even when I showed the printed confirmation which stated a twin bedded room.
Not at all guest friendly, we stayed in the area of the property which was supposed to be 5 star one can only assume that this rating was self assessed. Overall a very disappointing experience, which I certainly wouldnt reccommend

Superb location, views and accommodation. I would have liked a Brita water filter as the tea is horrible without it. A pity as it is such a small thing and can make such a big difference to a fan of black tea!

The room was booked well in advance of our stay. The price considering the location was excellent. On arrival we were welcomed by the receptionist who was smart, courteous and efficient.; she set the tone for the hotel. We were escorted to our room/suite, shown what facilities were complimentary and those for which a charge would be levied. The furnishings were of good quality without being overly lavsh. The bed was very comfortable.
The room on the tenth floor was on the inside part of the building so had none of the views of the Thames and London that had been advertised. Had we paid full price for the 'vision of grey' we would have been disappointed.
On the negative side, the air conditioning/temperature control did not work properly and the room thus overheated on the first night. Opening the window was an option but the sirens of emergency vehicles did disturb the second night. We were disappointed that notwithstanding the room being vacated by 10 AM, room service had not been in to prepare the room for our return by 4.00 PM; we waited in the bar until this was done. Other little niggles include the bathroom sink which would not clear of water or did so very slowly and the stack of chairs left outside our room for the duration of the stay.
We chose not to eat at the hotel so are unable to comment on food quality.

What a great place room was superbly fitted...
What a great place, room was superbly fitted out, although freezing when we arrived, not helped by solid wood floor. Soon warmed up though! A few niggles in terms of service and attention to detail to need to be worked on, while checking in the front desk was interupted by an incoming sales call, so we were ignored for 5 mins until we complained (i.e. take their details and call them back pls). The room great as it was suffered slightly from a dodgy TV (kept turning itself off and on), a blocked shower meaning we had to shower at speed of light and wait for 20 mins for water to subside, and was slightly noisy due to someone in stiletto's in room above on the aforementioned wooden floors. But I would say that these were all minor niggles, and the place does give good value for money from both business and leisure perspectives, and we would stay there again!

Called ahead to request a river view, which staff confirmed for me. But the room we were given faced a gray building opposite! Also there was not much hot water!

I've stayed at Park Plaza County Hall and...
I've stayed at Park Plaza County Hall and Riverbank before and knew that Riverbank was linked to the Plaza On The River apartments, so decided to book it this time. It's an excellent choice. The room design is very similar to Riverbank, with the addition of more facilities in room since it's self-contained apartments. The room was spacious, very well appointed, modern, clean and high quality. Lovely views over the Thames and London. The reception staff were courteous and friendly. Plaza On The River and Riverbank share the main hotel's bar and restaurant and the cocktails really are worth checking out, especially if you like chillis or lychees. The restaurant isn't the cheapest but the Asian/Japanese inspired food is high quality and the discount promotion offered for dining in their restaurant made it better value. Overall, a very good location, high quality accommodation and very very good value for money in central London.

I found this hotel to be very accomodating; the room was excellent with plenty of space, immaculately clean and plenty of ammenities. The only down fall I experienced was that the room had an aweful view, we were looking into a void where we could see into other peoples rooms to the front, left and right of our window had it not been for the curtains. Having said this I am sure that had I requested so, I would have been provided a room with a better view.

Fantastic position, although I was given the impression all rooms had a river view. Ours certainly didn't. Irina was brilliant on receptiom. The only reason I wouldn't return is because I could hear the guest/s in the next room snoring all night!

Having stayed here before in a brilliant river-view...
Having stayed here before, in a brilliant river-view room, I was keen to agin. However, the male receptionist asked me " Have you booked a cheap rate?" THis should have alerted me but I went with it. The room allocated (656) faced the air conditioning shaft, was noisy, had no river view and had been used by a smoker, a fact confirmed when I rang Customer service. Although they promised to move me for my second night this did not happen. This room appears to be beneath the gymn, judging from the pounding that onset each morning. Conclusion: a great hotel, but you must insist on reception, the room you want. Pretty poor judgement by the man on the desk, which severely undermined my quality of stay, which was otherwise excellent.

Ok - it's a little pricey here but the place is smart and the staff are attentive. Taxi ride to the centre/west end is normally about a fiver and it's a pain to get to the tube - about 5 mins walk but in london that's a fair treck.
Restaurant is good but cocktails are not amazing and a little expensive.
