Where It Is

Opened as recently as 2010, Park Plaza Westminster Bridge occupies an envious position along the South Bank with its striking architecture and historical landmarks. The almost circular building can be found at the southern end of Westminster Bridge. If you choose one of the rooms facing back over the River Thames, and the iconic green river crossing, you'll catch the view right across the bridge to the instantly recognisable Big Ben and Houses of Parliament. A 10-minute walk and you will be in the heart of Westminster Abbey, Trafalgar Square and Buckingham Palace.

On the south side of the Thames the Park Plaza is close to London Aquarium, London Eye, BFI IMAX Cinema and the Imperial War Museum. If you are considering using the train and tube network Waterloo station is 10-minutes away, serving the Jubilee, Northern, Bakerloo and Waterloo & City Lines.

What To Expect

Through the grand entrance, busy with guests, bustling with concierge you'll be whisked up the escalator into the stunning reception area.

The ambience is a mix of dramatic backdrop, with downlighters illuminating the vast marble floor. Whether you choose the 27sqm superior room or the larger 36sqm studio with additional lounge area, the quality is excellent. The rooms have been thoughtfully designed to accommodate all the right facilities in the right locations. The workstation has all the right plugs and wires, tea and coffee making facilities are simply arranged with ample cupboard space, while the bathroom is large with a choice of separate power shower and bath, shelf space and an abundance of fluffy white towels.

Culinary options include 1WB Brasseriean informal lounge on the first floor, the Award winning Ichi (pronounced eee-chi) Sushi & Sashimi Bar created with the ambience of a traditional Japanese home, or light refreshments and cocktails at Primo Bar open from 6pm. Brasserie Joelis the main hotel restaurant open for Breakfast (7am), Lunch and Dinner (until late) headed up by Chef Joel Antunes and his brigade of chefs. If you are staying over a weekend, look out for Sunday lunch, two courses are a very reasonable £19.95.
