Nice hotel within easy walking distance of Baker...

Who would design a bathroom with a glass...
Who would design a bathroom with a glass wall? Might as well stick the shower and toilet next to the bed.

Excellent stay very warming friendly staff and comfortable...

Despite its name it was not an old...
Despite its name it was not an old fashioned hotel at all with no reference to Sherlock Holmes (not that we were bothered). The downstairs bar area was nice although service was very slow, the room (executive) was very basic, bed was uncomfortable and only two tea bags each day, the room was stuffy and hot and if you opened the window the noise of the air conditioning units was loud, only one dressing gown and no extras that you might expect from an executive room, we got it cheap through late rooms and would have been annoyed if we had paid full price!

I paid almost for one nights stay with...
I paid almost $500 for one nights stay with Breakfast included. I thought I was going to get a really nice comfortable and excellent service at the hotel. What I received was an ordinary hotel room with holes in the wall and the mirror in the bathroom desilvering. Then when we ordered room service I found our food in the hall on a cart unattended by any staff members for approximately 10 minutes. There are about 4 TV channels all the rest are pay per view. Of the 4 there was nothing family friendly. As I did not receive the welcome basket, the staff refunded 20 gbp which was nice. All in all, it was not a good experience. My rule of thumb is to alway book with global franchises. This experience underscores this.
