Well located- don't be fooled by the photos of lovely views- there are none unless you pay at least £40 per room per night. There is no view from the bar or the dining room, really disappointed by this

Summary
Very smart hotel , friendly and helpful staff.
Well located for London attractions .
Brilliant hotel, Great customer service and a stunning room!
Summary
Lovely, clean and spacious. Would stay there again.
Summary
Fantastice w-end, easy to get to central London. Spacious and comfortable rooms, extremely clean. bathroom superb!
Summary
Excellent location, a 15 minute walk to the London Eye and 10 minute walk to Vauxhall Tube Station. Unbeatable views across the Thames to Wesminster, although we had to pay £40.00 to upgrade and guarantee the room view. Staff were courteous, professional and very helpful. Room was spacious with large bathroom, bath with seperate shower. Bed was very comfortable. Price was good for this quality of hotel in London.
Summary
Despite being in central London the rooms were a decent size compared to the many "box rooms" I have had to endure in the past!
The staff were friendly and the food in the Pan Asian restaurant was great!
After some misunderstanding where the hotel were trying to add VAT to the price quoted on Laterooms, after speaking to Laterooms the hotel finally relented and we were charged the quoted price. They did upgrade us to a really nice room with a fantastic view of the Thames. Overall, a very good place to stay. We didn't eat at the hotel at all, though.
Summary
Clean ,warm ,nicely furnished decent breakfast and excellent staff
Summary
The hotel is beautiful, the reception staff were ok. Would of liked to know there was a £26 charge for car parking, as we were not told. apart from that very nice. will stay again next year!
Summary
Got upgraded to an apartment room with great river views. A wonderful stay
Summary
Would be happy to stay here again !!! Good location and friendly helpful staff.
Summary
Stayed in the Westminster bridge park plaza in December and then here in August, room was well sized, bathroom good, reception and conceirge were very helpful, all in all a good stay.
Summary
The Park Plaza Riverbank delivered in every way. The room was very comfortable (it was a deluxe room, and lived up to the title) with really nice touches like bath salts in addition to the normal shampoo etc. We dined in the restaurant (Chino Latinos) which was exceptionally good. Overall, a great stay (and surprising quiet too even though my room overlooked the railway).
Summary
Upgraded to a club room, with desk, suite, seating area, very clean, excellent service, cooked breakfast ok (wouldnt want to pay full price for it - buy as part of room package!)
Summary
Check in was quick. Staff very pleasant & welcoming. Executive room was very comfortable. Heard no noise from the corridor or other rooms. Bathroom was spotless, seperate shower & bath both high quality. Very pleasant stay. The pillows were so comfortable! 2 goodnight sleeps. Pleasant walk along the Embankment to the Hotel. Breakfast on the Sunday was also good. Would recommend a stay here.
Summary
Ok, we don't stay in hotels this posh very often, and on arrival we were impressed with the appearance of the hotel and the service. We drove, and the first thing is that not only is the hotel not clearly signed (the name is under the awning and pretty much invisible from the road), but to drive up to the entrance you have to take the turning to left of the hotel as you look at it, then turn immediately right into a kind of slip road, and then you can park under the awning where a very smart doorman in a top hat will kindly tell you all about the valet parking and get the concierge to come in and take your luggage for you. You obtain a receipt for your car on the spot and won't see it again until you request it on departure. I have no idea where it was parked but it was undamaged and returned safely and we didn't see it with a taxi sign strapped to the roof when we were out and about in London! The lobby and bar look nice as you walk in and there are plenty of staff hanging around eager to offer you assistance ad make sure you know what's what. I think Americans would be happy with the level of service as its of the kind of high level they'd expect at home.
The check in was painless and the receptionist tried to upsell us roomwise, but I figured for my budget £118 per night without breakfast was enough for somewhere we were pretty much just going to sleep in. We had the cheapest type of room (looking out to the side/rear of the hotel) and the rack rate was £290, which had I paid I would have been disappointed with the room. He also offered us breakfast for £18 each per day for full breakfast or £14 each per day for continental which took my breath and appetite away!!
Like I said the room looked out at a neighbouring derelict building and the mainline from Waterloo. There was some noise from the railway, just noticeable above the rumble of the aircon. Now it wasn't a problem for us as we were pooped by the time we hit the sack but if you are a light sleeper this may disturb you.
The lifts were similar to other Park Plaza hotel I've stayed in a bit like a saturday night fever disco experience decorwise (you'll know what I mean if you stay there), there were four of them in our wing and four in the other and we never waited more than about a minute for one.
The corridors upstairs were ok but the carpets on the 7th floor where we stayed really needed either cleaning or throwing out - they were really dirty, especially around the rooms where the domestics worked out of.
The first impressions of the room were good as it seemed tastefully decorated although on closer inspection it was obviously a bit worn too. The tap on the basin in the bathroom was loose and wobbled around, the carpet near the door was coming away from the wall and the main curtain was coming away from its rail. Not big things but enough to spoil the "luxury effect" that I'm sure was intended. The bed was very comfortable and there were plenty of pillows. There was a free safe in the room and some very basic tea and coffee making kit. There was also an ironing board and iron. It wasn't an enormous room by any means but not pokey either. The lighting wasn't very user friendly with no reading lights by the bed and on the side nearest the desk there was no bedside cabinet, I had to put my drink and alarm etc on the desk and reach across. Closer inspection of the furninture revealed chipped veneer. There was a dvd player and nice flatscreen tv and the remotes worked (although of course we hadnt brought any DVDs with us as we didn't realise we would be able to use them). The bathroom had a separate bath and shower cubicle and decent sized tub if you fancied a soak.
Now, if like us you don't fancy the £18 breakfast, turn left out of the main entrance of the hotel and about 400 yards up the road under the railway arches is a superb cafe which does a full breakfast for £5 including tea of coffee and a shedload of toast. It also sells pastries that are to die for. Its a really popular place with locals and has an amazing cosmopolitan feel. On the sunday it was really hot and sunny and we sat outside and had breakfast and it was just like being away somewhere in the Med, really fab!!
There is a nice little pub also about halfway between the hotel and the cafe which has a restaurant and looks quite inviting.
In comparison to the price of breakfast, the room service menu for other meals looked quite reasonable, just normal hotel prices.
There is also a small grocers shop almost next to the hotel (on the left as you look at the hotel).
On departure day (check out is by 12.00) we left our luggage with the concierge, were given another reciept and the luggage disappeared off to some safe location that only staff had access to. There was no charge for ithat service. Similarly the valet parking was included in the parking charge of £26 per day. We paid for the parking when we checked out at about 10.30 am and didn't pick up the car until about 6pm and were only charged the flat 2 day charge of £52, which isn't bad for central London. The valet arrived with the car within about 5 mins although they say allow 15mins.
We would stay there again (for the same kind of price £118/night) as the location is great, with Millbank and the Houses of Parliament just across the river. The service was great and at no time did we feel obliged to tip, my only negative comments are cost of breakfast, some of the fabric of the hotel is tired, noise from the railway and poor view from window. I hope that's helpful.
Great view of the thames and other landmarks, central location, all round pleasure to stay.

Room wasnt ready 1 and 1/2 hours after check in time got a show and clipper booked had 3/4 hour to get ready when room ready iron didint work had to run to other family members room to use theirs didnt have time to tell hotel arrived back to hotel at 12 30 am no second pillows so had to ask reception for more 10 to 15 mins wait before could get to bed according to late rooms newspapers to arrive for morning got none upgraded room with late rooms because how it reads u get a view over thames big ben etc we got more bedroom windows wouldnt have paid the extra only paid that for view breakfast fantastic no tables left in dining room sent up to 5 star restaurant lovely overall pleasent stay but being a birthday treat disappointing been london 5/6 times in past 12 months one of the best looking hotels but minor things let it down espically room view hotel gave us 15% off bill but should have re-inbursed up grade and then % off
Summary
Booked this hotel as a very very last minute hotel through laterooms hotel search,
Upon arrival I noticed at reception a small notice with room charges. Starting from £250ish+
To grab this hotel at £80 made me feel a whole lot better about myself !
During arrival I realised I had lost my wallet in the tube and was unable to pay by card or cash. After calling home to get my friends card details and account information for them to pay I spoke to the woman and explained my experience.
The customer service really let me down, with poor English and an attitude of "I can't do anything now" I asked to speak to another member of staff.
I explained my situation and was made clear that this would be fine and sovlable if they had emailed details through etc.
I was told that "room with no shower just bath, okay ? "
I refused and said I'd wait until 2pm ( 15 mins and wait for correct room )
As I waited I took a look around and thought that due to my age, style and because me and my partner were quite young the customer service lacked. The business men, formal women and foreign groups were their target on satisfying.
Because I paid £79 and not £270 made me any different ?
I guess I had the last laugh on getting the greatest bargain !
Apart from the funny looks, stuck up businessmen/women and bigger ego's that lounge around the reception our room was perfect, clean, modern, excellent bathroom/style and very spacious.
Location fantastic, we had a room facing railway but to be honest. Noise was minimum. It didnt bother us at all. Get yourselves out that hotel. Your in London, plenty to
Do !
Thanks to laterooms I grabbed a brilliant bargain. I hope you guys can too sometime soon and be the last one laughing whilst checking out :)
From the minute we stepped out of the taxi the staff could not be more helpful. check in was quick and we soon in the lift on our way to our room. The hotel is very modern with lovel finishes all over it . the lifts were spotless as to were the hallways. The room was lovely light and airy and very clean the bathroom was the same with plenty of room with a bath and separate shower which made getting ready to go out easy. Breakfast is very well presented and on the second morning the breakfast room was full so we were upgraded to the restaurant upstairs wwhich was also very well presented and the staff very pleasant and helpful. The bar area is relaxing and ideal for a nightcap before bed after a long day sightseeing. Definately lives up to its 4 stars.
Summary
Great Location to see London from. The river is the cities back bone.
We knew we were1/2 an hour early when checking in but had to wait until 3.30pm before getting into our room, which was being cleaned. The check in staff were very helpful and arranged a drinks voucher for us to compensate .Other staff guided us on the best way to get to Wembley ( from Waterloo station!) and all the staff made our stay a welcome one .Our room, bar / restaurant areas were very smart . So top marks from us This is a hotel which I would use again Thank you.
Summary
Comfy quiet room but breakfast disappointing as food dried out.
Summary
I upgraded my room and that was the best decision I made all weekend. The room was just perfect and the view of the House of Commons was just fantastic.
The room was well appointed with everything I needed in just the right place and waiting to be used.
From now on I will be making this hotel my place to stay every time I go to the City.
Good location, reasonably priced and good quality hotel. Perfect for what we needed
Summary
I was pleasantly surprised by the trendy modern decor, and the really comfortable bed. Very nice clean modern bathroom. All in all one of my better stays in a large hotel.
Summary
After a long drive we were sent to a room on level 7, only for this to be a double not the twin i booked. Then after going back downstairs we then went up to level 4, again this was a double room. I the end we got our twin room up on level 10. About an hour after arrival. That aside the hotel was great. The bathroom and aircon were both of a high standard. Loads of sky channels including sports. The location was spot on, right in the middle of london.
Summary
An excellent hotel, the staff were friendly and our upgraded room was lovely, had a great nights sleep! Could not believe how quiet room was being so central to London attractions. Arranged to have the club breakfast which was really nice and well worth the extra, possibly the best hotel we have stayed during our london visits. Hotel in great location will look forward to going back soon!
Summary
This is simply a fabulous hotel. I actually booked a night at the 'Comfort Inn' because work wanted to save a bit of money... I checked out because their room was so disgracefully dirty... And checked straight into The Park Plaza where I had stayed several times before. In fact, the late rooms price was just £10 more than the price for the Comfort Inn.... Yes a million times nicer!!! You will not be disappointed
Truly one of the worst nights I have had in this hotel chain. No aircon only heating rendered the room unbearably hot. Opening the window when the room is on top of a station is not condusive to a good night's sleep. How can a 4star hotel rely on fans to keep a room cool?
Summary
Friendly staff and very helpful,
Summary
The park plaza runs on a two pipe system for the heating and cooling of their rooms. The air conditioning system was off for the reason that the hotel thought the nights were still cold! During the night I got very hot and the hotels only solution was a fan, this I did not want as it would make too much noise. I just thought that for a 4* hotel it would be nice to choose whether you had the air con or not.
Summary
There was a lot of little things eg no coffee in room so we rang housekeeping, television didn't work no sound they had forgotten to put a card out indicating where the volume was. One of the sockets in the wall was broken.
The breakfast on Sunday was poor quality was cold and the variety wasn't very good. I wouldn't have paid the full price for the breakfast.
Everything was perfect.
Summary
My mother and I had a lovely overnight stay in this hotel. Minor issue was the thin walls which compromised privacy somewhat! . Lovely breakfast and the riverview was very special.
Summary
It worked like clock work. All was perfect
Summary
Had a business conference here. Ear plugs in the bathroom gave away the fact that our room was overlooking a six-track railway. Staff were variable and a bit clueless, room service excellent though (worth the £5 surcharge for breakfast in bed). Good location.
Summary
Very bland and corporate feel. room was comfortable and clean though, just felt a little unwelcoming.
Summary
Beautiful modern hotel within 5 min walk to vauxhall tube station. The staff were extremely helpful and polite, we were given a complimentary bottle of wine upon telling them it was my GF's 21st birthday.
Rooms were very clean, large bathroom with seperate shower and bath.
One downside was the noise of the trains going past at night but that can't be helped.
Very smart hotel , friendly and helpful staff.
Well located for London attractions .
