Very nice hotel but poor customer service:- Staff seemed confused as if under training (e.g. no knowledge about ash cloud impact on airport) - this information is vital to know before heading for the airport- Got a twin bed room for the first night despite booking a double room. When complaining upon arrival, no understanding was shown - it was a "subject of availability". When you pay a lot of money for a room, such a response is simply unacceptable.- Instead, why not say "we understand your problem, we apologize and we will make sure that a new room is ready first thing tomorrow morning"?

This was a family stay as two adults and two young children stayed at Hotel. We were a few minutes walk from the river bank and Waterloo Tube station was next door. From Euston to the Hotel was £10 in a taxi and Hotel is easy to reach by tube however we had 2 children, buggies and bags weighing us down. The Hotel reception is always busy however every member of staff is smiling and quick to process check in and out and other needs. The Concierge is very friendly and flags cabs down for you at a moments notice. The lifts are very busy and you often have to wait for one for a number of minutes it is essential to jump in whether you are going up or down just to reserve a space and enjoy the ride! The room has kitchen area, fabulous bathroom and shower and the two bedroom area's and wardrobe are ample for a weekend stay. The breakfasts are free for children and a buffet style greets you. All fruit is fresh, there is a choice of cereals, croissants and the cooked breakfast is help ypurself. I have never see such fresh bacon and sauseage and the tomatoes, mushrooms and choice of egg is excellent. A five start service at a 4 star hotel!

Nice, modern hotel. We were upgraded to a studio room, with a sofa bed and kitchen area. The room was nice, although the bed was small. Room layout was strange, with the bed being about 3 inches from the door. The bathroom had a strange sliding door, made of semi-transparent glass, which offered little in the way of privacy, should you need it. View was of the roof of Waterloo train station. Parking is quite difficult, with the nearest place being a makeshift place under the arches of the railway which you'd be lucky to get your car in and out of without it being scratched or dented. Breakfast buffet was very good. Ironing board missing from room but housekeeping very prompt to provide one, and called to check it was ok shortly afterwards.

We found the hotel very clean, modern and spacious. However, although the staff were more than friendly and helpful, the queue at the reception took longer than I would have liked. Our door 'key' was faulty so had to stand for 30-40 minutes by the room until we were issued with another 'key'. Not nice when we were wet from the heavy rain outside and the slowness at reception. The location of the hotel is ideal and there is a fantastic bakery at the back of the town hall. We were offered the express checkout in which the bill would be e-mailed to me. However, when I received the bill after I arrived home, I found an item on it I had not expected to be there. I was charged for a breakfast I did not have. Better to check the bill before you leave rather than try to phone to resolve. I was passed round about 4 different people. Got it resolved though but without an explanation as to why I was charged for this or an apology.

Otra pequeña pega era que las ventanas no se podían abrir. Por otro lado ideal para ir con niños.

For our first trip to London, the location of the hotel was fantastic. Just 5 minutes walk over Westminster Bridge to Big Ben, Houses of Parliament and Westminster Abbey. Just around the corner from the London Eye, Aquarium, Movie Museum, Waterloo Station and Pier. Dead easy to get around from this location and heaps to see just nearby. There was a fridge with a section for our own use and 3 supermarkets within 5 minutes walk. The rooms were so clean and comfortable we were thrilled with out stay. The staff went above and beyond to be helpful and added to the fun of our stay :) Definitely this hotel is recommended to other travellers it will enhance your stay in London :)The 7th Floor was high enough that we had not one scrap of noise and overlooking the trains amused our toddler for days :) Like endless Thomas the Tank Engine.

My husband and I met our friends and their son (nearly 4) who were over from Washington. It was ideal for us to travel to as it is about a 5 min walk from Waterloo Station. Our friends had a suite so had separate living area and kitchen. This was ideal with a 4 year old, so the adults could chat and chill in the living area while the 4 year old went to bed.Breakfast was a bit busy on the Sunday, but as it was the start of the Easter holidays I guess the hotel was extra busy. The food was excellent though. The hotel staff we encountered were all very friendly and helpful.Great hotel to use as a base for your London break.

My wife and I found the hotel to be ideally placed for getting around London with several of the attractions close to hand. The staff were very friendly and helpful and we were lucky to be given an upgrade, although I am sure all the rooms must be okay. Parking anywhere in London of course is a drag and expensive and we missed the park next to the hotel! but managed to get another close by. I would recommend this hotel to others and would certainly use it again when I return to London.

We also use the little kitchen area to get our own breakfast. The staff were very helpful both times we were there. We have gone back for a second stay. You do have to wait for an elevator in the morning, and it is not inexpensive. But is is in London, after all.

Customer service was good in all areas apart from the bar where we always had to wait so long to be served despite the bar being practically empty. Both times we used the bar we waited a long time before getting served or even acknowledged. We ate breakfast in the restaurant and it was great, there was plenty of choice and the food was good and fresh. The staff were attentive despite being busy. One evening we ate in the bar and I'm afraid the food was a real disappointment. Tuna Nicoise with absolutely no dressing on it. (dry cold boiled potatoes on a plate with dry salad). When I went up to the bar and asked for some dressing I was brought some from the kitchen.

We arrived at the hotel at midday and were able to leave our luggage secure while we went touring. On the day of departure we booked out and left our luggage to collect later in the day whilst we enjoyed a full day without the need to drag our luggage around town.We decided to use Room Sevice for one evening Dinner during our stay. The experience was first class, the staff efficient and attentive. The meal from Room Service was as one would expect from a hotel of this grade.Ideally situated for many tourist sites and amenities, we found our stay to be a very pleasant experience. We booked this room only a few days before our stay and were expecting to be in the worst room on a low floor. However, we were extremely pleased with both the room and the floor (floor 9). We overlooked Waterloo station, but as my son loves trains, we saw this as a bonus. The room was spotless with high quality fixtures, we also had a choice of 3 types of pillow! The shower was enormous and I could not get my son (aged 4 1/2) out of it. The room service meals were expensive, but were of excellent quality and substantial. We chose to have breakfast in a cafe round the corner (towards Waterloo underground) as it was very nice and a lot cheaper - as we never have full English it was more cost effective. Overall a fantastic hotel in a great location. Loved it! (If you get chance, go on the Duck Tour round the corner - expensive, but worth it if you have young kids).

The hotel was in a good location and was nice to look at from outside and in. We had booked a double room but they didnt have any available and so we were upgraded to a double studio but the bed was 2 feet away from the main door, it was ridiculous. We could hear everyone outside and they could obviously hear us, no privacy, I have never seen a hotel room arranged that way. The only other option was to move to a twin room and they joined the beds together. Even then the main door looked directly onto the bed when it was opened about 6 feet away from eachother. The view was an internal one which was horrible as you have no idea of the time of day. The hotel blamed the fact that they didnt have a double room on the booking agents which was a little unprofessional of them. I would not stay here again.

Really surprised (pleasantly) to find this hotel in the middle of London so geared towards the family experience. Instead of being made to feel like nuisances, the kids were welcomed with open arms. It made our holiday so pleasurable. My only (slight) criticism would be that certain hotel facilities e.g. lift and dining room, were being used beyond their capacity as the hotel was absolutely chock a block. In practical terms this meant we waited a fair while for lifts and to be seated for breakfast. But this was a small matter in the overall scheme of things.

Firstly we killed time in London and headed over to the hotel at 2pm for check-in, but no rooms were ready so we were offered an upgrade to a "junior suite" without asking and told to come back at 3pm. We got into the room which was very nicely presented and modern, the kind we like. Double bed right behind the door, opposite the florrs ice (noise) making machine. Bathroom with walk in shower and bath etc all very nice in the middle section, and past this a separate sofa/ bed with a 2nd large TV.However, next to the main bed within the wall separating the bathroom, is, we guess all of the pipework for the hotel. Constantly whilst trying to sleep you are woken by peoples poo from the floors above, travelling past you at about 200mph!!!Dear hotel manager - See if you can sleep in room 103 for a night....no...really...that because of the noise of people dropping a load off??? How about better sound insulation in that wall, and in the new hotel you are probably building the same way across the road.not as good as the riverside plaza

Booked an Executive Studio with city views and breakfast included. The room was as expected but the view with lived upto description was dominated by the backside of Waterloo station. Reception allowed us to move to a 'River view' which gave us clear views from the 12th floor of Houses of Parliament, Big Ben and the London Eye. A chance to bond with two young children (8yr and 6yr) - 2 nights. Easy to find, within bag-dragging distance of Waterloo station (underground). Very friendly staff are the hallmark of this hotel - the breakfast room staff seemed to be enjoying themselves, the receptionist was prepared to enter into conversation and the concierge was helpful. I left a book in the room and having 'phoned the hotel to see if the book had been handed in I was told that I would be called back - I was! Book found and I arranged to pick it up. The hotel appeared to cater equally for both business customers and families, though perhaps the number of children in the hotel reflected the half-term holiday period. The room was big enough for one adult and two children (them sharing a sofa bed) and could have taken another adult. The kids were thrilled with their own flat screen and children's films for £1 each. Clean and tidy, no noise from next door. The microwave and (small) kitchenette area was probably impractical and not in my view suitable for self-catering on a room-only basis. Breakfast was self-service and plentiful. Very convenient for the London Eye, Houses of Parliament, London Aquarium and South Bank. A 20 min walk (with youngsters) to theatre-land (a tiring walk back at night after a show and a long day!). Not for someone on a 'budget break' and on reflection the children wouldn't have noticed if we had stayed in cheaper accommodation.
