Only use this hotel if its the last resort - !!! (would rather sleep in the car)

The reservation via LateRooms advertised the room reduced from £103 to £40... Well decorated and clean and very modern. On arrival, the room was a total shock... Lights not working, tv wouldnt tune, clean but definitely not modern, curtains torn, shower and cold water not working, lock broken and handle.poorly fitted to bathroom door... I was appalled. Told management in morning and they were not bothered in the slightest... no way was a reduced-rate room.

Cheap overnight stay but..

The hotel was easy to find and had that rarity in London in that it had ample accesible and free parking.
We had booked because its location was perfect for our overnight needs and frankly the laterooms deal was the clincher.
On arrival we discovered the hotel to be tired and bruised but we had just driven for 4 hours were pleased to be given a warm, helpful and friendly greeting and despite the slightly down at heels feel of the building were quite happy, that bubble burst as soon as my wife entered the room to be greeted by a cockroach also on its way into the bathroom, it was the first of two I killed during our brief stay, otherwise and in spite of the above the room was ok, despite the dispiriting sign on the bathroom sink taps which said that the cold water wasn't drinking water which left us confused as there wasn't a corresponding sign on the bath taps, we took refuge in the bottled water we had brought and used it in the provided kettle for hot drinks.

Seems like they listened to feedback

I was slightly worried about staying here after reading reviews but I was really pleased with the accomodation. It's more of a motel than a hotel but my room was clean, well-equipped and the Receptionist was very helpful. The only criticism I have is the carpet looked like it had seen better days, but you can tell they are working on things. Compared to other budget accomodation my room was huge and my bed was bigger than in any 4 or 5 star accomodation I have been in. It's not a special occasion/corporate accomodation, but it is well priced for its location. I think it's time they stopped getting a hard time.

Not great, but ok as a place to kip

Hotel was fine and is geared to cater for the local Indian community. We were made to feel welcome, the food was super - especially the Indian restaurant attached to the hotel. Noisy neighbours (kids shouting and swearing at 2.30am) on our first night there, but a call to reception saw it sorted (thanks). Second night, no issues. Rooms basic, but what do you need? Clean rooms, kettle etc, showers - fine for what we all wanted, thank you.

Tired and in need of a complete ovehaul!!!

Although the staff were very friendly, polite and helpful the standard of accommodation was poor. It is quite evident that the whole place needs a complete refurbishment. On returning to the hotel in the evening it took me 20 minutes to be served with a drink and about an hour for a small bite to eat, this was the same for everyone else it seemed. This was no fault of the staff as the poor barman was trying to serve customers at the bar and also run the restaurant side at the same time. There was a birthday party next door which probably exacerbated the problem but that should have been addressed in anticipation. The accommodation appeared to be detached from the main building when you would have expected everthing to be self contained within the confines of the same building, it just didn't feel right? If the place was completely overhauled then i may consider revisisting as access to the city centre and from the motorway is very accessible, but until then i will look elsewhere next time.

Dirty, insect infested hotel

Everything that can go wrong at this hotel did. It was a horrible place which should be given 1 star and it is nowhere near as nice as the photos make it appear. I tried to order room service but the phone would just go dead. After about 10 attempts I tried to phone reception to get them to put me through. They did this and again the phone went dead when it got to room service. Eventually I decided it would be easier to go to the restaurant which is part of the hotel and try to order food to my room. I was successful in doing this although it kind of took the meaning away from room service since I had to leave the room and go to the restaurant to order. So I placed my order and after 15 minutes the waiter brought it to my room and placed it on the side. Then after he left I noticed the drink was missing so again I had to leave the room to get a drink. When I returned I ate the food and fell asleep. But after about one hour I was woken up by a fire alarm going off in my room. I went to reception who said that it was happening in everybody's room and we should just go back and wait. So I went back and after 20 minutes of listening to a really loud alarm constantly going off there was silence. It was at this point I noticed the food I had left only an hour ago. Similar to the previous review my room must have been swarming with insects although mine were ants. It isn't even the kind of weather that you really see ants yet but within an hour they were all over my food. The number of ants and the speed at which they were on that food means that the hotel must be infested with them. I rang room service and said they should come and remove it quickly before any more ants come. They did this and as I had no other choice I went to sleep for the night. The next day when I woke up there were again ants swarming around the coffee cup I had drank the night before. If you leave even the slightest bit of food/drink out in the hotel it will be covered in ants within an hour. This is the dirtiest hotel I have ever been and I have stayed in third world countries. Whatever you do find another hotel

Great value for money

For a hotel so near to Heathrow (even though this was not my need) this was excellent value for money at £44 per night. This was my second stay at this hotel. After the first, a return visit when I was in the same area was clearly decided. On my second visit I had to move rooms immediately as the toilet flush was broken. There was virtually no wait for someone to come and check out the problem and I was moved to a very large family room. Excellent service and facilities.

Needs a Refurb

As Hotels go, this was more like a Motel, with the car parked right outside the door (not a bad thing though, if car security is high on your agenda). The room was basic, but very tired. It really did need refurbishing/redecorating. There were chipped/broken tiles in the bathroom, broken window latches and stains on carpets and seating. The walls appear to be paper thin. That having been said, it was comfortable, as clean as the decor would allow and well worth the reduced rate which I paid (especially for London rates) Not the best, but I have stayed in worse!!

Good quality room and good quality service

Room was clean and of good standard. Bathroom had bizarre health and safety data for the liquid hand soap - In case of contact with skin wash off with copious amounts of water! Booking in and out was efficient and lacking in fuss. Breakfast was in banqueting suite complete with chandeliers. On second morning chairs had been decorated with pink bows in prearation for a wedding. I wouldn't recoomend this hotel for anyone who has mobility problems as even reception is up a flight of stairs. Didn't see any sign of a lift. Hotel is disjointed with rooms in at least 5 different sections. Plenty of room in carpark.

Would recommend requesting a room inside of the proper hotel rather than one of the outside (motel) rooms. My room from a previous visit was much nicer and a bit more quiet. Comfort-wise, the room was fine but the bathroom was a bit shabby (mold on the ceiling) and outside noise made getting to sleep a bit difficult.

not as bad as some reviews make out. Local train station was closed and was told the bus service is not good walk too us an hour to get to twickenham stadium but it was a nice day ! Good value room for 48.00 but definatly more like a motel room than a hotel room . glad it was still warm outside as door had huge gaps around it and no window in bathroom but huge vents letting in draughts would be freezing in winter. cobwebs in room on ceilings Buiding work starts early 9am ! when people still trying to sleep as building material right outside our ground floor room. Nice idea having a pub and resturant attatched although resturant was closed for renovation. for the price would stay again but only in warmer months and only for a 1 night stay. Bed very comfortable suitable for a very budget 1 night stay if your not fussy.

Hotel currently under refurbishment.

We had 2 rooms, one refurbished which was lovely, super dooper spa bath but even our 'older' room was better than some I've stayed in so no problem there. The rooms were lovely and clean and had extra pillows and blankets for guest comfort. The televisions didn't work but I think that was an aerial problem probably caused by the refurbishment. I would be happy to stay at the Osterley again but warn future guests to check prices charged by the taxi company they use, we were massively overcharged, we did advise the reception staff which I'm sure they will have looked into.

If you don't want to sleep

Room was dated, back to the 1980's, stuffing coming out of chairs in bedroom. Took half an hour for meal to arrive and when it dis it was cold. It took 45 minutes for the next attempt. One and a quarter hours seemed like for ever but even that was better than breakfeast. Breakfeast was held in the site of the previous nights wedding, you couldn't pay me to go through that experience again. Worst of all though was the traffic noise, my room close to traffic lights, I managed to sleepuntil about 4.00 am, but once the traffic built up, forget sleep.

There was damp which meant the wallpaper was pealing and my window was broken so was jammed open and the road outside was very noisy. The tv was incredibly fussy but other than that it was ok. I visited this hotel as a business trip. I was pretty disgusted.
The room was dated, grubby, smelly. The bathroom was bad...the sink was smashed, there were hairs in the tub (not mine), stains everywhere.
And then I found out about the restaurant situation...there hotel restaurant is a bolt-on Indian takeaway! The strangest thing I have ever experienced. I'd booked to eat both dinner and breakfast at the hotel, after seeing this I couldn't stomach either so went hungry!!

My room was overly hot with a radiator that couldnt be controlled (Management finally found liars to turn off - was then freezing in night). Room was VERY basic - missing light switches for example. Didnt want to use the shower, bed and blankets very basic / hospital like. However, tea making facilities, phone in room and customer service made this better than the local travel lodge - you get what you pay for.

A very shabby hotel

The room was spacious, however that is about the only positive thing I can say. There was a balcony, but the door handle comes off in your hand. The balcony seemed to have an outer door that was open but boarded up, and the glass from it was lying on the balcony. It was a good thing it wasn't possible to get out there. The room was noisy, and you could hear people from the pub below as they left (noisily) as well as the traffic. In the room next to me a number of drunk men gathered very late at night being very noisy, however, the hotel staff were excellent when I complained and they made the men leave quietly. The room was very basic, which is to be expected for the price but I would still expect a little better quality room.
