We stayed for 2 nights, no tea or coffee facilities in our room, which we would of expected as standard, breakfast was very small, just cereal, toast and orange squash! They also had boiled eggs, ham & cheese, which were all very poor quality, no pastries or wholemeal bread, very cheap nasty bread, we would of liked sum sort of fruit and yogurts, but none of this was available, room was clean and tidy, but a blanket on the bed is very old fashioned, sometimes staff at breakfast didnt even speak to you or did not understand what you where asking! We were in London our capital city!!
Summary
There was no tea and coffee in the room as advertised. The room was very basic. The bathroom was very clean tidy.
The breakfast was served to early and only for a short time.
It is a good location. Only stayed for one night. If stayed for longer would of wanted a different room. We had room 405.
Room could do with a revamp, a little dated. However was clean. Breakfast service was the worst ive ever seen! Not enough tables to facilitate everyone. The waitresses (non- uniformed!) tried sitting us with strangers. The food is not an english breakfast! Consisted of cereal, toast, ham and cheese. The juice was served out of a measuring jug and dont think the waitresses knew what they were doing.
Summary
Great location for exploring London but very much a budget hotel
Summary
On the hotel website it said Tea & Coffee making facilities in room there weren't. It also said Continental / Engish breakfast there was only continental. Very disapointing. Asked for more toast and was begrudgingly given more!!
Summary
I took my daughter and son on a site seeing trip to London with various attractions pre-booked. Using this cheaper hotel enabled us to spend more money enjoying the many attractions the capital has to offer. The hotel provided us with an excellent base. The location was quiet and easily accessible from the tube station. The three bedded room with ensuite shower was simple but spotlessly clean with plenty of hot water night and morning.
We knew what to expect from the reviews so weren't disappointed. The no frills breakfast was adequate and as we were eating well when out and about in London.
We would stay here again as it proved to be a good base to leave your bags and bed down at the end of a busy day.
Spotlessly clean room and en-suite, very polite and helpfull staff and a pretty good price.
Summary
Ideal location if travelling to London by train. Don't make the same mistake we did and get in a taxi - it is literally around the corner. Accomodation is clean but basic. Rooms could do with updating but it was not a problem if it is just somewhere to get changed and sleep. Reception was friendly and offered advice if asked. Breakfast consisted of cereal, toast and coffee or tea - serving finished a little early but if you are getting an early start it was ideal.
Summary
Hotel was adequate but don't expect it to be anything more than basic. I had 2 children with me and we were only staying one night so only had small hand luggage with us. Originally put in a nicely decorated room but there was a family of ants in there too! However, when I pointed this out to the reception they were very happy to move us and were extremely apologetic saying it had never happened before. The room we moved to was ok but on the 3rd floor up steep narrow stairs, with no lift. Ok for my kids and I but probably not ideal for the elderly or young children. All in all adequate though
Summary
Although our stay was exelent and spotless, the bathroom bin needed cleaning, there was a buildup of eurine splashes on the lid. Also , it would have been better to have a kettle in the room, to have a brew. Otherwise, well pleased.
Summary
Clean, quiet and very central. Modern rooms and very helpful staff.
Summary
Hotel was beautifully clean, rooms ready early and in a fairly quiet setting - perhaps a little too quiet if anything (all pubs in the immediate area closed before midnight). Rooms were large and comfortable. Breakfast was a disappointment though - couple of slices of toast only.
Summary
Toast and boiled eggs are the only thing on the menu - awful
Summary
I'm assuming the Hotel was trying to fill every room as when we arrived we were upgraded from a double to a three person room at no extra charge which was a pleasant surprise. The room was clean and contained an excellent shower, though the room was a little too hot during the night. Good value as the room was reduced to £75 on laterooms, I wouldn't say it would be worth the advertised £275 asking price!
Summary
Small ,clean, tidy but adequare bedroom.Friendly staff.A functional well located hotel, that delivers what it says 'on the tin'.
Summary
I looked for a hotel just for the night with breakfast and parking. This we found in this hotel so for the money we spent for the stay I considered this very good value. The hotel was clean and cosy and served it's purpose. Hotel receptionists were very helpful and friendly.
Summary
Clean, refurbished room (though a little small), cheap rate, close to Paddington station- what more could you ask for? Although it is worth noting that soap/shampoo is not provided in the shower, sheets and towels were not changed during our two-night stay, and breakfast is merely adequate. Still, at such a cheap rate, you can't be too fussy! We were completely satisfied, and would recommend Orchard Hotel as an excellent base for sightseeing around London for a few days. Enjoy!
Summary
Tea and coffee making facilities in a room downstairs but not allowed to take drink to room. Staff a little abrupt and not that friendly. Otherwise excellent value for money and clean. Breakfast okay but did not fill you with any desire to eat - boiled eggs and toast, some cold meat and cheese. Coffee stewed and was left.
Summary
A clean and quiet hotel good value for money. A major added plus would be a kettle in the room.
Summary
the only redeening part of my stay was the helpfulness of the front desk to carry my luggage to my room as there was no lift , the room was poor and old fashioned and not in a good way , no shampoo , small room , nowhere to put case etc, I had to leave hotel at 6.30. am and therefore inc breakfast did not happen for me nothing offered in its place and no coffee in rooms. NOT to be recommended, such a shame as I travel frequently.
Summary
The member of staff were hardly welcoming and polite, totally indifferent to our needs, the woman at reception chatting with a friend and complaining about her work while we were checking in ! and the room was in the basement, no daylight, brown colours so dark and depressing that we were almost tempted to go elsewhere when we first arrived. No kettle in the room (which is unbelievable for a so-called 3-stars, especially in the UK). Sheets incredibly too small for a double bed, blanket and no quilt. No change of towels the second day. Besides, they say breakfast is uncluded in the price of the room but difficult to get : only from 7:30 to 8:45 ! Appaling, especially for the price.
We'll never go back to this hotel.
Small room - smaller bathroom. It was clean, reasonably comfortable and generally okay for the money
