Would not recommend for a business traveler because no wireless, short period for breakfast, etc.

Orchard experience

We stayed for 2 nights, no tea or coffee facilities in our room, which we would of expected as standard, breakfast was very small, just cereal, toast and orange squash! They also had boiled eggs, ham & cheese, which were all very poor quality, no pastries or wholemeal bread, very cheap nasty bread, we would of liked sum sort of fruit and yogurts, but none of this was available, room was clean and tidy, but a blanket on the bed is very old fashioned, sometimes staff at breakfast didnt even speak to you or did not understand what you where asking! We were in London our capital city!!

Room was small and had mould on far wall. Bathroom was very tidy and clean. Breakfast served too ear

There was no tea and coffee in the room as advertised. The room was very basic. The bathroom was very clean tidy.
The breakfast was served to early and only for a short time.
It is a good location. Only stayed for one night. If stayed for longer would of wanted a different room. We had room 405.

The orchard hotel reveiw

Room could do with a revamp, a little dated. However was clean. Breakfast service was the worst ive ever seen! Not enough tables to facilitate everyone. The waitresses (non- uniformed!) tried sitting us with strangers. The food is not an english breakfast! Consisted of cereal, toast, ham and cheese. The juice was served out of a measuring jug and dont think the waitresses knew what they were doing.

On the hotel website it said Tea & Coffee making facilities in room there weren't. It also said Continental / Engish breakfast there was only continental. Very disapointing. Asked for more toast and was begrudgingly given more!!

Perfectly adequate

I took my daughter and son on a site seeing trip to London with various attractions pre-booked. Using this cheaper hotel enabled us to spend more money enjoying the many attractions the capital has to offer. The hotel provided us with an excellent base. The location was quiet and easily accessible from the tube station. The three bedded room with ensuite shower was simple but spotlessly clean with plenty of hot water night and morning.
We knew what to expect from the reviews so weren't disappointed. The no frills breakfast was adequate and as we were eating well when out and about in London.
We would stay here again as it proved to be a good base to leave your bags and bed down at the end of a busy day.

Orchard Hotel ideal location

Ideal location if travelling to London by train. Don't make the same mistake we did and get in a taxi - it is literally around the corner. Accomodation is clean but basic. Rooms could do with updating but it was not a problem if it is just somewhere to get changed and sleep. Reception was friendly and offered advice if asked. Breakfast consisted of cereal, toast and coffee or tea - serving finished a little early but if you are getting an early start it was ideal.

Hotel was adequate but don't expect it to be anything more than basic. I had 2 children with me and we were only staying one night so only had small hand luggage with us. Originally put in a nicely decorated room but there was a family of ants in there too! However, when I pointed this out to the reception they were very happy to move us and were extremely apologetic saying it had never happened before. The room we moved to was ok but on the 3rd floor up steep narrow stairs, with no lift. Ok for my kids and I but probably not ideal for the elderly or young children. All in all adequate though
