Location good breakfast good staff attitude very helpful...
Location good, breakfast good, staff attitude very helpful. Room was clean and spacious. Unfortunately the duvet was so old it was disintegrating inside the cover - Housekeeping department take note these items do not last forever. I would use this hotel again but would check the quality of the bedding early in the evening.

Nice hotel close to Paddington station Clean and...
Nice hotel close to Paddington station. Clean and serviced well, we had a nice stay although the steam room was out of order on our visit and the pool was not heated. Unsure whether they were related at all. We had a 21 month old daughter with us and it was fine for her as well. The meals in the restaurant are expensive and we chose to eat elsewhere because of this.

The hotel was very clean and well maintained...
The hotel was very clean and well maintained. The room was a good size, comfortable bed and lovely shower. The room was very hot though and opening the window let in all the traffic noise. At the last minute we decided to eat in the hotel because the menu looked very appetising but when we arrived at the restaurant we were informed that it was buffet night. The starter selection was delicious but the main course selection was unusual and mostly dried up, not 4 star food. The dessert selection was not great either. We would have rather eaten from the main menu.I used the pool, sauna and steam room which were very clean and quiet.Overall, I would stay there again but would not eat the buffet food.

Nice hotel no compliants staff friendly clean good...
Nice hotel no compliants, staff friendly, clean, good food, service good. The hotel is a few minutes walk from the station. Only problem was London underground. Cancelled, delyed, late infrequent trains.

The check in was very efficiently handled by...
The check in was very efficiently handled by Megan who was so helpful and friendly to us all. When we were leaving 2 days later she remembered our daughters name and gave her a card to download some music for free. She was excellent.

This Hotel is ideally located a short walk...
This Hotel is ideally located a short walk from Paddington Station therefore convenient for Heathrow (on the Heathrow Express or Connect). Several Tube Lines connect to Paddington as well. The Hotel is at the edge of a business district. Very new hotel, quite modern. Above average size rooms for London and in pristine, clean condition. Small leisure club consisting of Pool, Sauna and Steam Room (out of order when we were there). Small Gym as well. Hotel staff friendly and efficient and all in all reasonable value for money. Good breakfast selection. There is a Sainsbury's supermarket a short walk away.

I used this hotel when visiting my student...
I used this hotel when visiting my student son in London.I thought it would be a "roof over my head". I was pleasantly surprised. I felt very comfortable as a woman staying alone in a hotel. I used many facilities including bar,restaurant and pool.The staff without exception were excellent and remembered my name when I went to breakfast etc. The room was spacious and well equipped. I asked for a room with an outward view(some look out to another building. The only gripe was the poor quality mattress.

We booked rooms a double and a triple...
We booked 2 rooms a double and a triple the double was ok but the bed in the triple was not made up.and the TV did not work, hotel seems ok but no passing taxis, you have to order them from reception. as its built next to some huge office blocks so not much of a view, and has a gated entry. if you want just a clean room a short taxi ride for the shops this is the place.

The hotel was great brand new quiet and...
The hotel was great, brand new, quiet and friendly.However, it is quite a walk from Paddington station through windswept unfinished walkways...It'll be better in a few months when all the building work round the hotel is finished and the weather improves. The burgers in the bar were great!

A new hotel which was very clean spacious...
A new hotel which was very clean, spacious rooms, nice bathroom with excellent shower, small leisure facilities but good. Good central location, in the middle of a newly built business complex so pretty quiet on a weekend.

I didn't have any preconceptions about the Novotel: it exceeded all of them,.This is a good thing.Would go out of my way, all the way to paddington, to stay there again

All was agreeable although unusually the toilet was...
All was agreeable, although unusually the toilet was separate from the bathroom, this would have been alright had there been a washbasin there too. We would though have preferred the more normal arrangement of having the bathroom and toilet combined.The reception staff were particularly friendly and helpful!

Excellent location near Paddington Station Good selection of...
Excellent location, near Paddington Station. Good selection of restaurants nearby. Hotel is excellent. Staff were very helpful and friendly.Swimming pool & sauna were available. Special 2 or 3 course meal pre Theatre on Friday and Saturday. - We had the 2 course meal and wine all very reasonably priced. Served promptly. Meal was very well cooked and presented. I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to anyone visiting London.

I found this hotel very clean with very good customer service......didn't book breakfast when booking room and found it a bit expensive at Stg 14.50....its right around the corner from Paddington station which was great as we where able to take Heathrow express back to the airport in 20 mins..

Lovely hotel but an absolute nightmare to find...
Lovely hotel but an absolute nightmare to find! Before going we looked on google street view and we are so pleased we did otherwise we would never have found it. When we went out for the evening a couple stopped us someway from the hotel to ask us where the hotel was- so a lucky coincidence for them, specially as the postcode shows up someway from the hotel! Leave Paddington on the canal side (not the main taxi rank side) and walk up the canal and the hotel is a short way up on the left through a small buisness park. All this aside a really lovely and clean hotel. The room was huge and exceptionally clean. Also couldnt hear a sound from anywhere, very quiet. Only down side was on the Friday night we returned to the hotel (12:30am) for a wind down night cap to find them totting up the till and the bar shut!! The pool is lovely, small and cool but clean. I would recommend Zizzis Italian which is just by the canal. Lovely food with great service and good price. Would recommend but only on laterooms price.

Other than the number on the room card being unclear - the 4 looked like a 9 and I had to go up and down twice - this hotel was excellent

Looks new and modern, rooms are not big but comfortable with contemporary decor. This is an ideal place for Paddington and the Heathrow Express - just a short walk away. Parking is a bit of problem as it is in a business precinct with no cars but OK to drop off and pick-up. If you can get a good rate this a very good option for this area, perhaps not as a long term stay but for overnight and business.

This hotel was in a great location to...
This hotel was in a great location to paddington station and great for getting around London. The room was a good size with plenty of room even with the pull out bed out for our son. The pool was a good size also but its all one depth and 5.5ft deep, so for kids they definitely would need to bring the water wings.

It was years since I had last stayed...
It was 15 years since I had last stayed in a Novotel. It wasn't my first choice on this trips but I had left my booking late. I decided to try the Novtotel Paddington as I was arriving from Heathrow so it was convenient after taking the Heathrow Express. The room rate was reasonable for central London mid-week when rates are traditionally high.The hotel is not immediately next door to Paddington station. However, there were clear instructions on the hotel web site to reach the hotel via platform 8 and after that it also signposted from the station exit.Very nice welcome at the reception - remembering that the Novotel / Accor philosophy was based upon the welcome to travellers given by Benedictine monks in France. The hotel building is very recent and functional - lots of wood, glass and metal. Lovely room - very clean, nice big comfortable bed, great bathroom and very quiet although my room looked down onto some of Paddington's lines. For a business trip, it was just right.Good breakfast in the morning. Free 20 minute Internet access via iMacs in the reception. One of the staff kindly offered to help me download a file onto my USB key as I couldn't pick it up directly from the iMac - a nice touch.So, I was impressed and will certainly try Novotel again.

The room, hotel, gym and food in the hotel were all of a good standard and I would stay again when on business in London. My only small gripe was that my credit card was not taken on arrival and as a result ordering anything from my room (internet and room service) was a bit of a nightmare, they would not bring up my food unless I had gone down to reception and leave my card details!

We enjoyed our stay plenty of local places to eat near hotel on canalside. We did not eat at the hotel and enjoyed eating out at cafes and restaurants on London Road near Paddington Station (5 minutes away). Only minor complaint was shower facilities at swimming pool. - they did not work. Other than that we enjoyed our stay. Staff were helpful and friendly.

Stayed for night to go to Earls Court - very close, 2 tube stops.Excellent breakfast - very well cooked great choice and healthy options.Staff super friendly and helpful and obliging even when busy.Would definelty stay there again if in London. Will start to use it for business.

This is a smart, stylish hotel very conveniently situated for Paddington station. The room was compact, but well appointed with everything new and clean. The pool, sauna and steam room were a bonus for a London hotel in this price range. We paid a very reasonable £109 for a triple room through LateRooms. Would definitely recommend.
