The hotel was clean and comfortable. The location was excellent and suited our needs
Summary
Room was very roomy and very clean. Only small criticism is it's on the flight path out of London City Airport and they start flying at 7.00 am. Staff were great, lots of little extras which were appreciated. £3.80 for a pint of lager we thought was great for a london hotel price, having been charged up to £6.00 elsewhere. Food looked expensive but we didin't eat in so shouldn't comment really. Highly recommend great location for O2 which is why we chose it.
Summary
I recently stayed at this hotel with my friend and our 2 sons, for which we had come to see a concert at the o2. The room itself was clean, however with the sofa bed pulled out for the boys was extremely crammed and barely any room to move. After returning from the concert with 2 very tired children we realised that there were not enough pillows for us all and so requested some more pillows which we were told would be brought straight up. 1 hour later, still no pillows and so requested them again and yet again nothing, and so my friend ended up with no pillow at all, and we both had an awful nights sleep. The next, we had requested for our mini bar to be opened so that we could gain access to the milk for the tea and coffee provided, again this took 2 calls to reception for this to finally happen. The shower seal was broken, and after having a shower realised that water had poured out all over the bathroom floor and then under the door and onto our luggage and some of our clothes. Overall, the hotel is ok, but don't expect great customer service from Reception staff...
Summary
Excellent spot to explore ExCEL and Docklands. Super views from bar and terrace. Very good transport links. Highly recommend on all levels.
Summary
Could not fault hotel or staff, clean and friendly... but the parking facility was rubbish,! Not enough parking for the hotel guests, yet they let non residents pay and park in it.On arriving at the hotel at 2 pm i had a space, after taking my car out for a evening at the o2 and returning i was locked out as car park was full!!!i was told parking was across the road but I was left hunting around London for a parking space after midnight with 2 young children! I wouldnt use this hotel purely on this basis. But if you not using a car on your stay, its a lovely hotel.
Summary
I got a family room at a bargain for £79.00 which you can't really grumble about. the location is not 0.9 miles from the 02 arena unless you swim across the river, but the taxis congregate outside and only 5 mins from train station. I found the bed quite uncomfortable as the mattress was thin. the rooms were clean and staff were friendly. When we checked into the first room we asked to be moved as the people before us had been smoking and they gave us a new room and brought the new key to us.
Summary
I found the hotel to be wonderful, staff friendly and clean. No problems at all.
Summary
Very clean, tidy, customer service good
Summary
Went to londondon to meet friends on a night out, room, breakfast and service were good based on the short experience we had
Summary
I chose this hotel whilst attending the Zumba Fitness European Convention in Feb. The service was excellent, the location right next to the Centre is great and I had no problems getting from Waterloo to the Hotel via Tube and DLR. Rooms were lovely, clean and spacious with gorgeous river views. I didn't have any food at the Hotel so can't comment but all in all would highly recommend. I got a great price on Late Rooms also. I would also stay here for a general visit to London even though it is a bit out of the Centre, it is really calm and peaceful. A fantastic Hotel!
Summary
Although a little way out from the centre, this is an excellent hotel to stay at in London and transport links are good. We got a Late rooms deal and the hotel was a steal - it's stylish, spotlessly clean, quiet and comfortable and staff are professional and friendly. Absolutely nothing to complain about - a great stay
Summary
Very pleasant and enjoyable stay in this hotel. Beds very comfy and room very clean. Hotel is in a very quiet location. I would stay at this hotel again.l Food is excellent too, very fresh.
Summary
Fabulous hotel in great location for Excel. Rooms were very clean, bed very comfortable and great bathroom facilities. The only small negative I have is that the breakfast is over-priced for what it is. Nearly £20 for a breakfast buffet that you can have for a fraction of the price in any Travelodge etc would be justified if there was someone there making omlettes etc. But all in all a pleasant experience.
Summary
Excellent value for money and very nice hotel and rooms. Less than 2 minutes walk from the Excel Centre.
Summary
Food good and breakfast in particular. Swipe cards to rooms and car parks kept failing.
Summary
Clean, good value room for a one night stay. Staff helpful though not especially welcoming or friendly. Second bed in family room a bit of a fight to assemble and locate secret pillows.
Summary
Had a wonderful stay at the hotel, except for two issue. The first being that whilst we were out on a walk, someone had entered our room and made up the sofa bed. this was not requested by ourselves, there were only the two of us. What was alarming was the fact thet this was done after our check in and we had all our personal belonings on the side, including tickets to a concert at the O2 that night. It took 10 minutes for some one to come up to the room and replace the sofa, but she never knocked on the door and just walked in. \not the kind of service I would have expected from the hotel. The awxond issue we has was with the shower, it was cold even on the hottest setting. This was reported, but nothing was done.
Apart from these two issues, it was a comfortable stay and easy access to the O2
Very clean, well presented hotel and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Good hotel if visiting the O2 Arena as just a short tube journey away and hotel is a stones-throw away from ExCel tube station.
The hotel also backs on to the Docklands which make for a lovely view from your room or the restaurant if your room is on the other side of the hotel. However, despite this I would say the hotel is more a 'city break' kind of place to say, not really for people who are planning to spend a lot of time in the room eg: romantic break; because of the overall location.
Overall, a lovely hotel I would recommend highly.
The hotel was excellent value for money. The room was a good size for 2 people with a seperate Toilet and Bathroom. It is 2 minutes walk from the Royal Victoria station and right next to the ExCeL centre.
The food offered lots of options for breakfast, while the evening meal menu was publised early in the day.
I did not use the gym or internet facilities, however these were available. The staff were friendly and happy to help with any questions.
The cash point was out of order in the hotel but there are free facilities in the shop opposite.
Great hotel if you are looking to spend a break in London without the central London rates. DLR Railway station is five minutes from the door, then just 20 minutes to Tower Hill. Breakfast was a mountain of self select choice and kept us going for the whole day! Only down side may be that the on-site car parking shared, so it's first come first served which could cause a problem at busy times, but we were fine arriving at 4pm on a Friday.
A nice modern place to be. Have stayed a few times before. The receptionist was on her own and a bit pressured . The staff are generally efficient and courteous. The rooms are spacious and well lit. The bathroom is nice with an excellent shower but someone's forgotten the toilet..........oh no....its in a cupboard by the door. Small is not the word and with the worst toilet paper ever to appear in a 4* hotel. Comfortable beds as long as FIRM is your thing but terrible pillows and there were only three! The air conditioning kept the room a good temperature. Heavy blackout curtains keep the light out until you're ready. Breakfast is very good with hot and cold choice. The toaster could be a bit more efficient but with good hot food and a view over the dock its not that important. Disappointingly for us insomniacs the bar closes at 1am. The staff did make this clear. There is no doubt that we will stay here again.
Summary
Fantastic value for money. Great location for excel, quite good for O2 but you do have to make a tube change, definitely cannot walk so don't be misled by the 0.9 miles on website!
Great hotel though and well worth the money. Breakfast was excellent. Only thing that let our stay down was the rude male receptionist on arrival and a really rude waitress at breakfast, but don't be put off by this as the hotel itself is great
Stayed here for 1 night with my boyfriend for his birthday and would recommend this hotel to everyone. the breakfast buffet was perfect as were the staff serving us, hotel was very clean and the staff were very helpful
Summary
The hotel is in an excellent position only a few minutes walk to DLR and approx.20mins into London.
With good road links and able to park in the hotels private and secure car park would go by car again. If I had one gripe to make although the buffet breakfast was a very high standard the food was only luke warm which was disappointing, but the hotel was not very busy so there was not a turnover of fresh HOT food. Will use again.
Well priced, clean hotel
Would stay again
Room clean & comfortable. Staff polite & efficient. Brekfast overpriced & poor.
I would not have paid half the price for the brekfast I had on the first day of my stay and indeed did not eat brekfast in the Hotel again.
I did not eat any other meals there so cannot comment on the Lunch or Dinner service.
Brand new accomodation. Comfortable room. Good value for money. Excellent transport links.
Summary
Although outside the city, being close to the DLR proved invaluable. With only one change from the DLR at canning town we jumped onto the jubilee line and straight to Westminster where everything was in walking distance. The excel centre was right on the doorstep. The hotel was friendly and helpful with directions and advice. Positioned at the end of the road overlooking the river made for a very peaceful night. The only negative was that the room was too warm for four people in a family room and the air conditioning was not very effective. This the second time we have stayed in this hotel and both times our experience has been a positive one.
Summary
If booked through LateRooms then the prices is right, if not then a bit steep. However, ideal location for O2 Arena and Olympic Park. Excellent room, clean and tidy, comfy beds and decent views.
Summary
The worst welcome i have ever had at a hotel. Staff rude and do not care. When we arrived, although we had booked & paid for a double room they tried to give us a twin as they had no double rooms left and I was told there was no difference in the rooms anyway. I refused to accept this (if they are the same why give them different names?) and demanded a double, after much phoning around and moaning in a foreign language, she gave us a double. We only used it as an overnight after a gig at the O2 so was only there to get a bite to eat & Sleep. Standard "Pod" type room with comfortable bed.
Summary
Stayed here just before Xmas for one night and the standard of the hotel was very good. The staff were very helpful and polite.
This hotel is about a 5 minute walk to the DLR train stop so it's easy to get into the centre of London.
Room very clean with plenty of equipment. only thing would be poor tv reception, other than that good value with internet deal booked in advance. good for 02 but the website doesnt mention you are on the other side of the river! staff helped with advice on what trains to catch so no problem.
Summary
Lovely family room providing tea and coffee facilities. only moan is that the breakfast deals were not explained by reception ie; children are free and adults pay £10 if booked in advance. we understood it would be £15 each (£60) so went without! otherwise nice hotel for a weekend break.
Summary
Very isolated hotel
Summary
Excellent stay, courteous staff. Easy to get to and in great setting. Well located for both the City and West End yet in a peaceful location.
Summary
I booked this through late rooms and got a cracking little hotel, would stay again
Summary
Enjoyable stay, helpful and friendly staff, clean room and facilities. Would have prefered it if the bed wasn't a fold-out - a bit creaky. Otherwise, no complaints.
Summary
Great location with view over the dock
excellent external raised deck area good, bar area good good coktails
use of apple computer free for 20 min good
one slight problem tvs could be position in a better location
good access to DLR
As a place to park your brains it was ok, bed comfortable and room was ok too. I was amzed at the prices for drinks though, I bought two bottles of cider at the bar and it cost a whopping £12.40! I did not stay for breakfast as that was priced at £15.50 which seems a bit steep. I know we are in East London near the Excel centre but even so it was over the top for me.
Summary
Best stay ever in Europe. Thank you.
