Summary
Location is good, close to Southwark Bridge and the river. The room was non-smoking but smelled of stale cigarettes (can only assume it used to be a smoking room!). The bathroom was strange, with fold out doors directly beside the bed (I mean so close that when you got out of the bed you were in the bathroom), the toilet was in a separate cupboard beside the main door.Generally the room was very cramped. We booked for two people, checked in for two people, got two keys, but they only provided one towel which we didn't have time to rectify with them as we were running late, so one of us had to use the hand towel! the toiletries were good. all in all it was a very small, cramped, hot room, no better than a Premier Inn. If you want a good hotel by the river, go to the County hall Premier Inn and save yourself £50!
Summary
Hotel was very good. Walking distance to the Millenium Bridge and St Pauls Cathedral.
Summary
Very pleased with the hotel. The customer service was good - we asked for a quiet room and got one where the only "noise" was the low hum of the fridge - in central London! Everything was spotless, the desk was manned 24 hours and the bar open early to late. Bar and breakfast room were on the ground floor while 1st floor seemed to be a training facility so the guest rooms above were quiet, but Southwark Bridge Road is not nearly as busy as one might expect so this is a good location. The only slightly negative features were the high cost of breakfast (£15.50 for continental, a little more for cooked) and the fact there wasn't a tube station right close by. BUT there are plenty of breakfast facilities and stations in Southwark or over the bridge. We mainly used Mansion House tube (Circle line) and London Bridge mainline (for Waterloo East and Charing Cross) stations - both reasonable convenient
Summary
Friendly, helpful staff. Quiet room, comfortable beds. No problem leaving bags in the hotel after checkout.
Summary
As always good value for money, great staff, rooms clean and anything you ask for at Reception they are happy to help. Excellent location! We will be back again for the 10th time!
Summary
Excellent family room
Summary
The reception staff were very friendly, the room was very clean. The only issue we had was the efficiency of the bar staff.
Summary
We have stayed at this hotel on a number of occasions and find it to ideally located for seeing the sights. It has a tube for easy access to central London and it's attractions and lots of restaurants and bars nearby. I marked it down slightly because the room was very small when the children's bed was out and the toilet was separate to the bathroom with no sink in so if someone needed to wash their hands and someone was in the bathroom it was difficult.
Summary
Rooms seemed a little cramped when sofa bed in use. Also going to the toilet in the night was tricky as it was seperate from the sink area and meant having to turn lights on disturbing the whole family just to wash hands.
Our mini bar fridge wasn't working, a memember of staff said we would be relocated but we never heard anything more and the fridge was not repaired either. Staff at the desk were pleasant enough though.
