Notting Hill Gate Hotel out of 5 Customer Rating

At first I got a very small room with no normal windows. I asked for another room, but there was no other one available.
At the end I was offered a very nice room, double as big with a balcony, but I had to pay £20 more.
Also a little bit disappointing, that I had to pay extra for storing my luggage aften 1PM.
Housekeeping, the breakfast staff and the receptionist in the evening was very nice and helpful.
Overall a good stay, if you´re not counting on the prices here laterooms.com
Good and safe neighborhood only 5 min. walk to Nothing hill gate station. The hotel was nice and quiet at night.

Great value

The room we were given was the exact as what was in the picture on the website, it had a lovely bathroom with soap and shampoo and had towels and facilities to make a coffee and a very modern tv, i cannot comment on the breakfast as i didnt have time as it was rather busy in the small eating area and i didnt have the time to wait but over all i really enjoyed this hotel i felt safe and relaxed all night, would recommend this to anyone

What food?

I dont know if we should have expected this but when i am paying for a "breakfast included" its a bit more than a piece of toast and corn flakes. There was actually no food to bother rating. And my already grumbling tumming made this even more frustrating when non of the kitchen good understand English.

Great find

Took a chance on a budget hotel - at the time it was £35 for a room with shower but shared toilet. In fact I was give a room in the basement which had a toilet as well as shower. No windows as such - or at least non to look out of however the room and facilities were impeccably clean and attractive - warm (after I switched on the radiators and heater) lots of hot water in the new shower. A great nights sleep as it was quiet - being below street level. Didn't have breakfast so cannot comment.
Located close to the tube station -and eateries - a good little hotel

Youth hostel breakfast

Reasonably priced hotel in a great location (we walked around Notting Hill and to Knightbridge). Hotel room was basic, small but fine for our needs. Breakfast room was pokey, self service to horrible coffee, long life orange juice and value bread for toasting yourself. I would recommend breakfast at another cafe or deli.

Not Very Good

This was the worst hotel I have stayed in. The room was on the top floor (5 flights of stairs), was tiny, and had a tiny bathroom which smelt awful (smelt like a drain). As for the breakfast, don't bother! Again, this was in a tiny room (crammed full of tables and people) where you were expected to try and queue for a hard boiled egg/fruit salad/orange juice and then cook your own toast! I believe I was the only person speaking English in the whole place - not a problem in it's self, but only made the experience a little stranger! Although this was one of the cheaper places to stay in in the area, I really would expect a certain level of clenliness, etc. I would never return to this place.

Furniture

The furniture of the room had a poor quality considering it was in notting hill gate area, specially the wardrobe! but the positive thing was we were greeted by a really nice member of staff, he was very polite and smiley

Great location & good vfm for group of 5

Clean and reasonable accommodation. Could have been more spacious, but bearable in terms of ideal location in a very pleasant street scene and very close to Hyde Park, tubes etc...
