Good quality hotel for the price. English breakfast was included. Good size room with good en suite facilities. Need to be able to manage stairs! Overall good value for money.

Although close to Paddington station the hotel was very quiet. The room was clean and comforatble and breakfast was good. All in all a decent budget hotel.

Hotel was listed as having satellite tv but had only five tv channels. The rooms are very small and can only be about 8 foot wide so be careful!!!! Very basic but it was clean, a lack of tea making facilities was a big disappointment.

Very disappointing. Room's decor could be described as 'faded' at best, 'battered' at worst . The bed covers were stained (although the sheets themselves seemed clean). It reminded me of a typical student dorm, circa early 80s. The bathroom had been recently refurbished but the sink was partially blocked and smelled. There's no excuse for such a shabby atmosphere in a hotel in this price bracket: there is another small hotel which I've since discovered on the same road that has been completely refurbished, charges about the same prices and is just fabulous. Although I booked a room at the Normandie Hotel for three nights, I had to check out after one. I realised that I wouldn't get a refund for the second night, but the hotel did undertake the refund me third night - but never did. So the total spend was actually 186.

Breakfast was nice & breakfast room was pleasant & clean, however room was very dirty and shabby looking. Had to ask for towels as none were provided. Ok for sleeping in for 1 night but no more than that. A bit over priced.

Without a doubt, the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. The first room given was extremely dirty with paint chipped away over the shower, wallpaper hanging off the wall in the bedroom and the curtains barely hanging on by a couple of hooks. After seeing the poison mouse traps in the corner I asked to be given another room which was only barely better than the first. Strange dark patches seeping from the ceiling, an odd smell coming from the curtains and an extremely old looking bottle of vodka sitting in the cupboard. Unable to find replacement accommodation nearby, I had to stick with this and wound up spending two nights sleeping fully clothed on top of the bedcovers due to concern about the cleanliness of the sheets. Outside the hotel is a major destination for kerb-crawlers, which means you'll have to get used to the idea of bumping into prostitutes on your way to and from the hotel. Didn't try the breakfast, based on the quality of the rest of the place I'm willing to bet I would have regretted it.

The only problem we had was that the fire alarm was set off 2 nights out of the 3 that we spent in the hotel. This was blamed on steam from a shower in someones room which I find hard to believe. Surely this is some sort of health and safety breach?

We were given a hole in the ground - and at 93 a total disgrace..............................when i complained and asked to be changed we were given a slightly larger space. I have to admit that the guy at tthe desk was polite and tried his best, as usual its the ones seen that have to take the brunt of complaints, in the morning he was very apologetic. I wont be taking the chance again on the Normandie, too risky to get another hole !!!!!!!!!!! despite a good hot breakfast.

Very poor hotel, total misrepresentation on Late Rooms .com website, original room price was 275.00 reduced to 73.00. Having now stayed there I would not pay 73p.

Its fine but a travel lodge is as cheap, cleaner and better value. If the tube is working its an okay location otherwise if its for business travel forget it. Its an old fashioned tourist hotel which offers somewhere to sleep and that's about it.

The water in the wash hand basin did not drain away properly. We told the man on reception as soon as we realised at approx 12.30. When we got back in the evening it had not been looked at. When we had a shower we found the shower did not drain away either, quickly filling the shower tray with water. There was an overall 'musty' smell in the room, whether this was from the plumbing, ot the fact it was a basement room. We would not stay there again, as the whole place had a neglected air. The breakfast was disappointing. There was no cerals on offer only a small glass of orange juice. The 'full english' was adequate with no choices available.

The breakfast was inedible; the choice was either continental which consisted of white bread and jam, or full english which had obviously been cooked hours before as the fried eggs were like rubber. Also the sausage and beans looked like they was the cheapest possible; the sausage was very deep fried. The only edible thing was the bacon. There was white toast but only toasted on one side. We did not even bother on the second morning as the fat intake would seriously clog up all your arteries.

When we arrived we could not access the hotel it was locked with nobody on reception at 2pm. After many phone calls and constant ringing of the door bell and 25mins wait a person from an associated hotel let us in!!! The room was on the top floor where the staircase was very steep and the carpet had come away from the stair a definite health and safety issue!!
