It was a beautiful hotel. Excellent customer service, willing and able to accomodate my slightly early arrival. The staff were very friendly. Quiet location but minutes from tube station. Felt very safe there as a lone female.
My only negative comment would be that the room was very warm-I think the A/C wasn't working but I requested a fan for the bedroom and the hotel happily obliged!

Excellent location and good sized, clean rooms. But £18 for a very ordinary buffet breakfast and £10.20 a day for "free" WiFi was not what I expected and made it expensive. The hotel also skimped on soap(! - 1 piece and 1 bottle of shower gel each day for 2 people).

This hotel i would highly recommend, the staff were very friendly and welcoming, and our room was very spacious and clean.

This was the first time I stayed at this groups hotels and I was impressed with the welcome and the receptionist and staff were friendly. I was told I was given an upgrade to a suite, which intitally I was pleased with but unfortunatley there were seperate beds and the pull out was not very comfortable to sleep in. I would have querried it but was just too tired to bother. Something to bear in mind if you are staying there on a romantic weekend.

The hotel was great, location was good for all of London. Staff were friendly and accomodating. Room was very spacious and baby cot was ok. Breakfast was very expensive but good. Equally good one can be found out the door and round the corner for 1/3 the price!

Might have been that we managed a 3 star price with laterooms.com for such a 5 star Hotel, but this hotel is in a great area (2 minutes walking to Gloucester Tube which is serviced by 3 lines) and only STG 5 taxi from West Brompton station which is serviced by the very cheap and fast Easybus from London Gatwick), with huge rooms, great prompt service, exceptionally comfy custom pillows, late free check out on sundays. Definetly the best Hotel I ever stayed in London and I've been there 8 times staying at other good hotels but room size and price makes this hotel the best. Only negative points: Internet is only free in the lobby for 30 mins a day and the hotel is very much in the centre and therefore the view out of the window is just other buildings.

We booked the room through "Laterooms" which provides an excellent service. However, my wife and I were very disappointed at the standard of the hotel room and pleased that we had not paid full price. The room was tired and greatly in need of refurbishment - the curtains were in tatters. The room also smelt of smoke and when we mentioned this to reception, they suggested bringing up an air freshner spray!
Family has used this hotel when travelling for business from the US. I feel that since it has become part of a larger chain of hotels, the standard has gone down. Apart from the fact that South Ken is a great location, we were disappointed and would not recommend this hotel to anyone. My wife and I have used "Laterooms" on numerous occasions and this is the first time I have felt the need to complain about a hotel.

To be honest I was just glad to get in at the time of the booking, because my son, who was running in the London Marathon had already booked it weeks prior. As he had to leave for the Marathon start quite early, there was no time for breakfast - which he especially needed the morning before a race!!!! We had to go to a supermarket and buy breakfast!!! There was no option to have a room service breakfast either, which is my past experience on such occasions. The times were too early and too rigid. In other words, we paid a vast sum simply to put our heads on very nice pillows for a night. The staff are charming, but decor "stuffy".
