To be honest I was just glad to get in at the time of the booking, because my son, who was running in the London Marathon had already booked it weeks prior. As he had to leave for the Marathon start quite early, there was no time for breakfast - which he especially needed the morning before a race!!!! We had to go to a supermarket and buy breakfast!!! There was no option to have a room service breakfast either, which is my past experience on such occasions. The times were too early and too rigid. In other words, we paid a vast sum simply to put our heads on very nice pillows for a night. The staff are charming, but decor "stuffy".

I like this hotel having stayed here in 2008. Admittedly it was not as good as before, but that was due to some of the gym being out of order. Considering I picked this hotel so I could use the gym, I rated it as a 4 for value for money. Otherwise, no problems with the rooms I had. The first room was spot on but I couldn't switch the aircon off and I hate machine noise. They moved me straight away to another room, equally as nice and spacious. I can't comment on the food as I didn't eat there. Otherwise, spot on.

I arrived with my 20yr old and 11 yr old daughters to be advised we were not booked in. I showed our laterooms.com booking confirmation, the receptionist took a copy and then allocated us a very nice room. I was disappointed to learn my youngest daughter needed a camp bed to sleep on, if I had realised this I would not have booked this hotel. I think the price of the hotel should include a proper bed for each person, regardless of age or size. Also, the smell of cigarette smoke in the bathroom was overwhelming and we couldn't figure out how to get the bathroom light on. After a call to reception we were moved to another room, but again with another camp bed.No breakfast was included in the price. We all wanted 2 pillows each, there was 1 on each bed and 2 in the wardrobe which meant we needed 1 more. It took 3 phone calls and over 2 hours before we got it. Three times we had to explain that we had the two out of the wardrobe but there were 3 of us in the room and we were waiting to go to sleep! Although we were quickly moved to another room, it simply did not stand up to my expectations.

Did not get my usual upgrade but did get a spacious room that was quiet and comfortable. Rooms are a little basic but rooms away from the road are generally large and quiet.

Reasonably priced for an Exhibition week, with the exception of the Buffet Breakfast - exorbitant at £18 and the quality of the food not brilliant! Scrambled eggs left to dry out and solidify under very hot lights! A shame, as it has been a lot better on previous stays.

The staff are friendly and helpful. The room was large and accommodated us sufficiently having an extra bed for our son. Clean an comfortable. Although we did not eat at the hotel the restaurant looked really nice. Breakfast was not included and we ate out as £18 pp for breakfast was a little expensive. Ideally located for visiting London - tube very close by and good access to Kensington and Knightsbridge by foot. Would deffinately recommend and woudl deffintately use again if the rates were repeated. Only downside was our room was situated to the side fo the hotel and there quite noisey when deliveries were made early the following morning. This did not detract from using the hotel again.

I stayed here about a year ago and the hotel seems a little more tired than then. Having said that apart from the fact I booked a double and ended up with three single beds the stay was pleasant enough. The rooms were clean and the bathroom up to standard.

The hotel was of a good standard. The family room was spacious but we did need to ask for extra pillows. We were able to walk to the Natural History Museum, the Science Museum and the Albert Hall.

Nice rooms. Although booked 2 at the same time the rooms weren't adjacent but were on the same floor. As we have teenage children this didn't matter, but if they'd been younger it would have been a problem. Easy access to tube, lots of local restaurants. Will stay there again

We arrived and were greeted by friendly staff. The room we'd booked wasn't available but the room we had was still suitable for my family of four - we had a refund which we did have to chase a little, but then we were generously refunded. We had plenty of floor space (essential for my 4 year old to play footy in!) and the room was immaculate. Convenient location for Kensington and the tube, there was even an amazing value cafe round the corner for a stunning breakfast. Would definitely stay again and room service although late was a high standard - try the mushroom ravioli!

Very pleasant stay, room was large and had a well appointed bathroom. Bed comfortable. Air conditioning in room almost silent and very effective. We did not eat in the hotel, so cannot comment on the food. Staff very helpful and friendly. The only negatives are that the room was probably ready for redecoration, but this did not distract from our pleasure. However, we had a room on the first floor which is a no smoking area despite which a smell of cigaret smoke kept coming into our room and did cause us some discomfort.
