Lift was out of order and room was at top of building, however we were kindly offered a ground floor room which was freezing, temp outside was minus 4. When we complained we were told that the boiler was out of order.

I ws given a twin room despite requesting a double. It was ironic that I thought booking through Booking.com would provide more competitve rates. Instead, had I booked direct, I would have saved myself £12.

Clean, tiny room, well equipped, handy location, we took fruit and extras to supplement the adequate breakfast. Staff very friendly. This was exactly what we wanted.

Luckily we were only staying here for 1 night. We were given a room in the basement, right next to the elevator. From about 6 am when staff started preparing breakfast (which was also in the basement) it sounded like our room was in the elevator! The view from our window consisted of ladders and shopping trolleys. We also booked a double room but were given 3 single beds. Otherwise, the room was clean and the beds were comfortable and in a good location, a short walk from Paddington train station and underground.
