Fantastic welcome from friendly staff Have stayed here...
Fantastic welcome from friendly staff. Have stayed here before - it's superbly situated for Mayfair, Green Park, Bond Street, Shepherd's Market area. We travelled with our teenagers and it couldn't have been a better location.

For a brief overnight stay while passing through...
For a brief overnight stay while passing through London this hotel was fine. The location (on Grosvenor Square) is very convenient, the room was fine and the price, for London, was reasonable. Nothing really stood out, positively or negatively. I would stay here again on a price dependent basis.

The location for us was ideal as we...
The location for us was ideal as we had an appointment at the US Embassy only yards away. However, it would be equally good for those wishing to enjoy a weekend break in the capital. Avista Restaurant was excellent both in terms of service and quality of food. A number of excellent restaurants within easy walking distance.

The Hotel was in a great location just...
The Hotel was in a great location just moments from the heart of Oxford Street, but in the quiet Grosvenor Square. The staff were all very helpful - we were able to swap rooms to one with a bath for no extra money and they also gave us a late check-out for no extra cost. We arrived late so used the restaurant and the food was excellent. The room was small and the bathroom tiny, but it was very comfortable and we enjoyed our stay.

we arrived just ahead of an extremely large...
we arrived just ahead of an extremely large group and had to wait for 40 minutes to check-in. a separate queue for very large parties might be an idea? we finally got to our room to find that it had been smoked in although a non-smoking room was requested as my wife is pregnant. we were pleasantly surprised when we were upgraded to a suite to make up for this. the suite was perfectly adequate however if i'd paid full rates for this i would not have been happy. the decor was tired, carpet ill-fitting, cracked bathroom tiles and some lightbulbs were out.

In general an ok hotel Lateroom rate is...
In general an ok hotel, Lateroom rate is for the top floor rooms which was ok if a bit tired, beds need new matresses as they were a bit saggy and not very comfortable. Hot water was ok apart from in the shower, I had to use the bath attachemnt shower to get the water hot enough.

Good central location close to Oxford St Marble...
Good central location, close to Oxford St, Marble Arch, Regent St, Piccaddily etc. Very friendly and attentive staff throughout the whole hotel, particularly the reception, bar/restaurants and front of house. Laterooms.com talked me into booking breakfast for £15 extra however it did not appear on my booking when I arrived to check in at the hotel, not a problem though, the reception sorted it instantly without quibble - very impressed. Rooms could do with TV upgrades and quieter aircon but on the whole they are very presentable and comfortable. All round good value for money.

The only comment I have about the room...
The only comment I have about the room is that it was a little small. The space between the bed and the TV table was really tight. Other than that the hotel was lovely & clean and the location brilliant. Would stay there again but if for more than one night would book a bigger room.

I arrived late and tired and was quickly given a room. On getting into bed I heard the pianist singing his lungs out downstairs. I called reception and asked when he would be finished and they said 1am. I asked to be moved rooms and almost as soon as I hung up the phone a member of staff was at my door. New room was bigger, better and quiet too. Excellent service considering I was grumpy and tired.

This excellent hotel situated in Grosvenor square is just off Oxford street and ideal for shopping. Parking is not too difficult with free parking in the square after 6.30 and all day Sunday. There is also a car park just around the corner (expensive). As with all hotels of this catagory, if you go in the bar or have a meal, shut your eyes before you pay the bill. Breakfast a £22 per head is ridiculous. Tip - have it in your room, but only order for one - there is more than enough for two ! The is also a good pub just around the corner where prices are more realistic. Nice location, nice staff and nice hotel. Just make sure you get it at the right price.

Very impressed. Stayed for my birthday and had a really large room which was suprising as i had only booked a standard double, the view was perfect, the room/bathroom were perfect and the service was impeccable. I left my charger in the room when we left and they posted it out to me the next day. Would definately stay again and would definately recommend it.

Room was sparkling clean, bed was very big and comfy, the staff were lovely, professional and helpful. The location was excellent. We just had a standard double. We would stay here again and recommend it to anyone.

One could not compare the room we had this year to the one we had last year. We stayed on the 6h floor for less costs than the 3rd floor this year. It was a much smaller room with a tiny bathroom. Last year our internet connection did not work hense no computer. The first thing I asked was internet available in the room. The answer yes........not so we had to move to another room. We paid for three sessions, four hours each. The first one cut out after two hours and because I did not reort t at midnight they wouldn't do anything about it...We won't stay there next year when we visit our children...

It took an age to check in as...
It took an age to check in as the lady's grasp of English was not great. My room was very noisy by a lift and the street. It felt shappy and not worth the money. Will have to stay here again qas one of a few hotels close to work.

This room was very nice but was not...
This room was very nice but was not normally a £500 + which was suggested on the website. The reduced price fit the room. Everything good except I had to call for a room service menu and for a hairdryer both of which were supposed to be in the room.
