My wife and I stayed at the Millennium hotel for my wife's 40th birthday treat. I booked the weekend as a surprise. Unfortunately the hotel did not live up to my expectations.
OK the positive, the hotel is in a good location, the whole of London is at easy reach. The hotel is situated in the heart of Knightsbridge so plenty of opulence as you would expect.
We stayed in a superior room. The room was well furnished and well presented. The bed was comfortable but the pillows had seen better days. Bathroom OK, looking a little tired and needing redecoration.
The negative, Bar and Dining areas are terrible, not inviting at all. We paid for cooked breakfast for two days, £70 for the two of us, this was a mistake. The dining area is poorly lit and the furniture has seen better days. The staff aren't very well trained so service is poor. The food is average, I've had better in a Disney hotel! In hind sight I should have gone for room only and walked around corner to Harrods and had breakfast there for the same price but with all the trimmings!
To summarise, the Hotel is OK for room only and i would award it 3 stars not 4, disappointing for the price I paid.
