Millennium Gloucester Hotel out of 5 Customer Rating

The hotel looks a bit grubby from the side outside but it's totally different when you walk down the driveway to the reception + inside the hotel. Staff were very helpful + friendly. The bar was really expensive (£3.50 for 200ml coke) but obviously you don't have to drink there! The minibar in the room was on but empty with a note to say that you are welcome to use for your own things. There was a Tesco express across the road making it very useful! It is in a great location, Gloucester Road tube station is 100yds away and there are several restuarants to choose from close by. We found an Italian called Wildwood very close by that was also very nice + good value for money. We would definitely recommend.

Our visit

We left the hotel at 10 am on Saturday morning and returned at 3-30 and our room had not been cleaned. We phoned housekeeping and someone was sent straight away to clean the room. However we were surprized that in a 4 star hotel our room was missed., we have stayed here before and have been completly satified. The location of the hotel is excellent , and we will stay again!!!!

Nice place

We chose this hotel as it was close to the natural history museum where we were going to an evening function. we got a hefty discount through Late Rooms and were not disappointing with the room based on what we paid (£110). In face we were pretty pleased - it was a fair size, excellent power shower, massive and comfortable bed, decor not to our taste but certainly of a good standard and inoffensive. It wasn't a Wow but at that price in London we know we'd have to pay more for that. We could have paid less elsewhere and risked being in a real dive. It was a five minute walk to our party at the museum and we chose not to have breakfast in the hotel instead finding a characterful and cool cafe 1 minutes walk away. the hotel restaurant looked characterless but perfectly fine. I wouldn't pay full price to stay here but if they're doing a good offer it's excellent value.
