City trip

Hotel is very good located, only about a 4 minutes\' walk from Earl\'s Court station. Twin bedded room was nice and clean but is very small and there is defintely not enough space if travelling with luggage. Staff is very friendly and helpful.

Too much train noise!

Having a room overlooking Earls Court tube station is not good - the trains run constantly from 5 in the morning until 1 the next morning - at least that is what it seems like when you are desperately trying to sleep!
Otherwise fine.

Excellent

This hotel was excellent, rooms were modern with lovely furnishings and very clean. The staff were extremely polite and cldnt really fault it. We stayed on valentines nite and a note and chocolates was left on the bed which was a lovely gesture. Some of the reviews that I had read were a little worrying but was not dissapointed at all. Would def stay again .

Small room

The heater was on all night and hen you managed to turn it off, it would start clanking in the middle of the night. TV reception could have been better and a shower curtain was needed badly as the water sprayed out in the bathroom. Saying that it was very clean and everybody very helpful. Very convinient for places in London. Earl\'s Court is very good for eating at good price.

London Weekend

Rooms are small and a bit of rabbit warren like all the hotels in that part of Earls Court, but very handy for the tube, very clean, very helpful reception when we were trying to find a theatre. Breakfast is continental but it is fresh, constantly updated and there is plenty of it.
Would go back with no hesitation!

A fabulous find

What a great deal! A modern, clean hotel with amazing breakfast at economy prices. As with all hotels in Earl’s court, the rooms are small, but that doesn’t change even if you pay double! Friendly staff, free wi-fi in our room, a great location and very tasteful deco. Thank you Mayflower. Very impressed!

If only they had a bar !?

Quite a small room and backing onto the tube line but overall the room was suitable for a single traveler… even though i booked an executive double. The main problem was that upon arrival after a long day all i wanted was a nice beer or a GnT… unfortunately they don't serve alcohol. I won't stay here again but that is just personal preference. The room was very clean and so was the bathroom… just not enough room. The Breakfast Room was also quite small and some guests had to wait to be seated but having said that the breakfast choice was very good.

One of the best

Honestly one of the best (and certainly cleanest) budget hotels I have stayed in in London. I cannot recommend it enough. It is a well-run establishment, with friendly and helpful staff who take real pride in their wonderful hotel, and the place has a really nice atmosphere. Though my (single) room was very small it contained all I needed and the bed was incredibly comfortable. Decent brekafast buffet too. Also a wonderful location, just 2 minutes walk from Earls Court Underground station. I will stay again and again.

Good position and value for money in London

Good position opposite Earls Court Exhibition Centre. Lovely service from the man at the hotel, who was willing to come out to help with bags, setting the TV etc. and also from the cleaning ladies who helped with baggage the next morning. Downside was the noise from the street. It needs better soundproofing.

Too Hot and Noisy - Did not sleep a wink.

The apartment I was given was not in the main hotel but in Warwick Road just opposite Earl's Court. It was a nice apartment and quite spacious given that it was in London. However, it was extremely hot and noisy. The only means I had to cool the room was to open the windows and the noise of the traffic outside was ridiculous (with or without the windows open). A bit like being at Silverstone with the additional "bonus" of sirens from various emergency service vehicles. A real test in sleep deprivation.

Wimbledon Trip

The hotel was in a very nice location very near to Earls Court underground which was very handy for travelling to Wimbledon. You could hear the trains in your room however but soon got used to it and it didn't disturb sleep, probably because we were shattered! The room was fine and everything was there that was needed, towels etc, the only trouble was that it was very small!
However for what we needed it was more than adequate and would definately visit again for a short trip. It was lovely and clean and the hotel staff on reception were very pleasant with a good continental type breakfast included.

Clapton & Winwood at Albert Hall Happy Days!

We very much enjoyed our stay in London, and our hotel was very much a part of this. Very comfortable, breakfast was good and no real issues to report. Having spent quite a lot of time away from home one recognises the failings of your chosen hostelry with ease, and to be fair they were few; and these were primarily matters of simple maintenance of the environment, but overall a very happy experience.

Small room, comfy bed

So convenient for Earls Court tube. Good eating places nearby. Nice entrance but 3rd floor rooms are tiny and the ensuite was only suitable for slim people. Door lock jammed, nice maintenance staff opened it but did not fix it properly so it jammed again - glad there was no fire alarms.
I would insist on a room on 1st or 2nd floor next time.

- the buffet breakfast does not have many variety. Only bread, fruits, cheese, cereal, coffee, tea and juice. That's it!
- Hard to adjust hot water for shower. I needed to wait for 30-45 mins for hot water to come out. It was not only wasting water, also It was a very terrible experience if I want to sleep very soon...wait and check and wait...
- some staff are friendly, but some are not.

Excellent Tourist Hotel

Extremely conveniently placed hotel, friendly and very helpful staff, overall seemed pretty well kept and clean. Room on the small side but nice sized shower room, comfy beds and plently big enough for a short stay. Good selection at breakfast, nice to see fresh croissants, juices could have been chilled more, would have been nice to have some bread rolls. Lifts to all floors was a bonus, place a bit of a warren, finding room was fun. They are happy to store luggage on day of arrival (taken up to our room for us too!), and on day of departure as well. Plenty of places to eat and convenience stores within a few hundred yards as is underground. Would definitely stay here again.

Perfect hotel for value seekers

The location is perfect-the very next to the Earl's court tube station- even thou it may cause some noise from the station..
the room we've stayed was newly-opened so very tidy and relatively sophisticate design except for one thing-shower facility desperately needs to be fixed.. I was terrified when it suddenly fell down to the floor while i was taking shower...
I'd like to give 9.5 out of 10 to the Mayflower Hotel

3 nights at the Mayflower....

I was in London for a 3 day course and needed a central hotel, close to a tube station that would allow me access to the centre. As I was travelling alone, I opted for a 'single' room, it was quite compact (small) but I had everything that I needed including a 4 foot single bed, desk and en-suite shower/sink/toilet.
There was a trouser press in the room which I thought took up valuable space in the room (how many folk actually use these nowadays?).
An ironing board and iron was available on request from the reception and I really did struggle ironing shirts in the room as I had to kneel on the bed to make space for the ironing board.
Breakfast was a continental affair, a nice selection of cereals, pastries, cheeses and salad, not being a big breakfast person, this suited my requirements exactly.
Overall, I would rate this hotel quite highly, the room was small but I guess you get what you pay for these days, I could have opted for a double room but as I was alone, I just wanted a room with a lock on the door and a shower.

The Mayflower apartments

First impression of the Mayflower hotel was impressive, but we were staying at the apartments which were a three minute walk( with assistance to carry luggage). There is a terrible smell all through the hall ways of the apartments ( front of house informed). The room (No 10) was right at the top of the stairs with no lift. Inside the room was basic, no aircon, only a fan and windows we coudn't open. The shower/toilet was quite clean and looked recently updated. Floor was damaged and kitchen area was a little dirty but we were not cooking there.
If the owners spent a little money to put these things right then it could be a nice room. Not all bad though, if you are visiting Earl's court then you are literally opposite.

I had booked a single room and was firstly given room 46. I have never experienced a smaller room, not enough floor space to open my suitcase on the floor. Earls court tube stn is right behind this room and the bed actually vibrated as each train passed.
Reception kindly arranged to move me to one of their best single rooms for the rest of my stay. It was better all round but still very small.
The position of the hotel is excellent for those wanting to catch the tube to the olympia exhibition centre, or a very short walk to earls court.
staff courteous at all times. Bar area virtually non existant. Breakfast very limited indeed, however what was on offer was of good quality.

I was really worried about booking a hotel in London and getting a really pokey room but I am also on a budget so price was paramount. The Mayflower Apt's are clean, the room was airy although it was an executive room (found great deal on Late Rooms) and the service was good. The breakfast room is quite small so felt quite crowded and we had to share a table but it was a nice choice of cereals, fruit etc. I would definitely recommend this hotel and that is where I will go next time I visit London.
