Be self-Sufficient!

Enjoyed the apartment - comfortable seats and bed and I liked the kitchen facilities (albeit I didn't have time to use them). A large supermarket is 3 -4 minutes walk away so you can reduce restaurant costs of eating out.

Value For Money

The apartment that I had number 97 was very spacious , good sized kitchen roomy lounge and decent sized Twin bedroom . The bathroom was clean and again a decent size .The room was on the 5th Floor facing the railway track but this was not a problem and I was not disturbed by trains and slept well . Parking secure just as well as the building itself is not in a great area but nice and safe no different to some Travelodge locations I have stayed in .
The main high street was 5 mins with bars and restaurants , morrisons supermarket 10 min walk and bus and train links 5 mins .
I would stay again but not for a romantic break! (one of the questions in the survey)

Check out is 10.30am which is too early! Nothing to do in the area currently but when Westfield completed will be lots of shopping. Easy access on the central line so worth paying less to stay in stratford. train noise was not too bad but also pub next door with music pumping out til about 12ish. nice to have room apartment if you fancy an action packed day and a dvd in eve - home from hom so felt very comfortable.

Why they choose to hold the Olympics in such a god forsaken place I'l never know

Marlin apartments Stratford was by far the worst of all Marlin apartments iv stayed in. The room was tiny & you barely had room to swing a cat in there. The location is in the middle of the ghetto full of unsavory characters wondering about. The T.V was broken & I complained on three occasions yet they still failed to fix it. Also there was no big plates to eat my food off & tap water was luke warm & cloudy. The nearest shop is a ten minute walk away & you need to watch your back if you take a visit. Some pissed up rowdy Irish man threw a bottle with smashed by my feet on my way to the shop which my girlfriend found very intimidating.
Id never stay in The Marlin Stratford apartments again due to my experience. I'v stayed in Marlin apartments in St Paul's & Empire square & I highly recommend them but stay clear of Stratford.

Apartment for 6 people

The staff were extremely helpful and welcoming. The apartment was spacious and accomodated us all perfectly with 2 bathrooms and fully equiped kitchen. Would recommend to bring your own iron, hairdryer and sound system. Train, tube and buses were located only a short walk away. Although based next to the train track it was rarely heard. If using the onsite car park, ensure you display the ticket or you will receive a ticket from an external company - I lost mine but the apartment's staff were helpful in providing information for me to appeal my penalty.

Business Overnight

Based on the location (5-10min walk from station) it is ideal. Local places to eat (Thai was very good) The area is not the best but this did not effect us and £170 for a 2 bed apartment was value for money. No issues with rooms as they were clean, a niggle was 2 twin beds together with the join down the middle so you had to sleep on one side only.

A home from home for all ages.

We only had an overnight stay in Marlin Apartments - Stratford but it was long enough to ensure we will use this facility regularly. All staff we met were friendly and welcoming the accomodation was a delight and consisted of two bedrooms, on being en-suite, a bathroom with shower a fully appointed kitchen / diner and a lounge with flat screen Tv. Close enough to enjoy what London can offer and a relaxing haven to relax in.

Pretty Good

I have used Marlin before so was reasonably clear about what to expect. The apartment was about 10 minutes walk from the station and was handy for Morrisons. The staff were friendly and helpful. I had left my card at home and they sorted the payments out over the phone with my husband and even gave me an upgrade - although the second bedroom was a bit wasted on me.
The accommodation was fine, although I was a bit concerned that being on the groundfloor the bedroom window was left unlocked, so check before you go to bed. The facilities were good, I was in a 2-bed apartment with a bathroom and ensuite. It was a bit smaller than I had experienced before but perfectly fine.
The only minor issue for me was that although there was an ironing board there was no iron and the microwave did not work - I am sure if I had called reception they would have been really helpful and sorted it out and when I mentioned it when booking out they sent someone straight away.

Could do better.

On first inspection the apartment looked great. Unfortunately on a closer look there were things missing; like not enough furniture, plates, bowls, spoons!!! When we asked for them we got them, but it doesn't take a genius to look how many guests are staying and put in the right amount of stuff. We also only got half of a cafetiere.

Marathon Supporters !

We needed a place to stay as our son was running the marathon - getting hotels for 3 couples was going to cost a fortune so this seemed like a great solution - having booked we saw several reviews that were less than favourable but we decided to give it a go anyway !
Location - right by Stratford Station and therefor the Jubilee Line - 10mins walk max therefore ideal (the new Westfield Centre is being built there so will be even better)
Flat itself - great two bedrooms, two bathrooms and a sofa bed (although not the most comfy according to youngest son !) Cooker, fridge etc etc even tea bags and coffee ! Dishwasher tablet supplied but didnt notice til too late as were washing powder tablets
The staff were fine and when we mentioned that the linen for the sofa bed wasnt in the room they offerred to make it straight away - but we obviously wanted to use the couch ! Check in not officially until 3 but for a small fee they allowed us to check in at about 1130 ! This was ideal for what we needed, it is right next to the railway line but it didnt bother any of us ! Would choose to stay here again !

Stratford apartment

Was good standard accommodation. Clean enough if a bit grubby on closer inspection. Good value for money but be aware that extras are all pricey eg; check into room half hour before 3pm was £20 and when asked for extra linen as had double bed which needed to be a twin were asked initially to pay extra £42 but resolved in end
5mins walk from station

Good little get away

Very clean rooms, nicely decorated, extremely homely but definately worth the price I paid. Extremely good for short stays and very close to the station like literally round the corner.
Lovely bathroom, really enjoyed my stay. A few tweaks like back of remotes missing, bedside lamps not working, dustbin lid in bathroom broken but other then minor bits like that the actual apartments are lovely.

The 2 bed apartment was lovely and enough space for the four of us, though living room was quite small. We had heard review about the train noise however didn't find this a problem at all, we were situated directly above reception so there was occasional noise from people below coming in and out but otherwise no problems. Apartments are perfect for o2 users as the jubilee line gets you there so quickly and is only a short distance from the hotel.

Very clean, pleasant layout, light and airy, well stocked with cutlery and crockery, great deal on Late Rooms!
Suggestion to Marlin Apartments: Coat hooks in Hallway to hang things, also hooks on back of bathroom door, hairdrier in room rather than collecting from reception, rooms should not be described as having balconies when this is not strictly true as you cannot walk or sit on them...,

Good apartments

We (a family of 4 = 3 adults and 1 child aged 9) stayed here for 5 nights, the apartment was quite nice and I would say quite good value for money and not to far from all the main attractions in central london which we visited by tube. I had read the other reviews before booking here about rude staff and can say we did not experience this at all, we saw 3 different staff members (2 men and 1 woman) during our stay and all were friendlty and helpfull. Other reviews have complained about the time to check in and again we had no problems with this either, we had 2 couples in front of us but it only took about 15mins (at max) to get checked in, the man checkng us in was a bit stressed out as it was busy but he was still friendly and polite. The surrounding location and access to the apartment could be better (It is slightly hard to find, I suggest looking at google map street view before you go) but its not as bad as some reviewers have claimed the area is very rough, well i would not consider it that bad, it was not the best area but there are much worse areas than that, It certainly wasnt scary (as some have claimed) and we came back fine late at night on most occasions. On a bad note I would have to say that there were a few broken things in the apartment that I did inform the staff about (broken window latch, wobbley unit leg and loose table top). A member of staff came up and noted what was broken. I do think the apartment could of done with a but more TLC, being slightly more cleaner and no broken items but overall we were satisfied with our stay. My last point is about the complaints about the refundable £200 deposit that everyone is moaning about well it said clearly on all my papaerwork about it so I dont know how people can say they didnt know? I would excpect they just didnt read all the details properly = thier fault not Marlin's. If thats the companys policy then you have the choice of either do it or stay somewhere else its a simple choice so I really dont understand what all the complaining is for and ive read no reviews about anyone not getting the £200 back, we certainly had no problems, dont trash the apartment and you will get it back = simple!

Very convenient for the Olympic Park site. Inexpensive high quality accomadation. My 1 and only complaint would be that, I booked this hotel because it had 24 hour parking. The website I used - Laterooms, did not provide any information or a service to allow you to book your parking in advance. When I arrived @ 20:30 all the spaces were gone. I was advised that I could use an alternative cp albeit half a mile away in the shopping centre which for the 24hr period I would need would cost more... although this might not be the fault of the hotel, they should ensure that the sites which promote their rooms provide all the information

Enjoyed stay but....

I enjoyed my stay here but i do not think the £200 they ask you to put up as security is way too much. The money doesn't come off your account but does come off your available balance and stays off for 5 days after you check out. For someone like me who is unemployed this is a big problemThis was never communicated to me before i arrived. I do not object to some sort of security but £200 is excessive, most other places i have stayed it is between £50 and £80.
