The apartment is in a quiet location but not too far out of the centre. Well equiped with very effective heating. Free parking available on the road outside. Will definitely use again.
Summary
Apartment was very comfortable however directions and a good map of location would be of use overhaul very very happy.
Summary
This was the most amazing stay I had in London.
The appartments are really big and super clean. The staff was very kind and welcoming.
I will def. come again.
Great apartment & value for money, although just a few minor niggles like no teaspoons, very low on serving dishes, extractor fan in bathroom not working. Great views to Canary Wharf & the Dome from our room on the 12th floor and great location for the District Line into Central London.
Summary
These apartments suited us fine close to tube station, with links to all attractions.
A tad expensive but cheaper than some hotels. That's London for you !!
Arriving at the Marlin Apartments at around 4pm on a Saturday afternoon, i did not expect the front door to be locked.
It was, so followed the instructions on the key pad outside to contact the concierge. Over & over again I typed in the number & kept reaching an answerphone message. The 5th or possibly 6th attempt someone finally answered & advised they'd be coming downstairs now & will let me in in a couple of minutes....
10 minutes and a group of people later (who were also waiting to get in -other guests, taxi drivers etc), the lady on the concierge finally came downstairs & buzzed open the front door ...
'WHY DIDN'T YOU OPEN THE DOOR?' she yelled at me as I walked in
Initially I was quite taken a back by her attitude - no 'sorry for your wait', just an agressive tone & intimidating body language.
She informed me that she'd operated the door from upstairs to let us in. Well, if she did, that was news to me & all the others waiting there as we'd all tried the front door on several occasions whilst stood there & none of the crowd had any success in opening it.
I've got to say after a long journey to reach the apartments, the last thing i expect is someone to welcome me (or not as the case may be) so RUDELY - it was completely out of order & unjust.
The stay itself was nice, the aprtments were bigger than i expected & suited my needs perfectly. I did notice that the 'double bed' was 2 singles pushed together, but other than that, the rest of the stay was fine. Just a shame really that it was ruined by such a rude cow as the rest of the staff seemed cooperative & friendly.
I will not recommend these aprtments to anyone - I was embarrassed, upset & frustrated with the way I was shouted at upon arrival. I don't expect this behaviour from anyone, I certainly don't expect to be paying for it.
Lovely apartment in new building. Highly recommended.
Summary
Stayed here with colleague on business in 2 roomed apt. The location is about 0.5 mile walk from edge of the City in an area that is slightly run down. However the apt itself was superb, large, clean, modern, well furnished with a large balcony. Wouldn't hesitate to book again.
Summary
I would not hesitate to recommend staying at the Marlin Apartments in Aldgate and I would definitely return. Accommodation was modern and very clean with everything you might need. I have stayed in a few apartments in various cities in the UK and these were by far the best. Without doubt the best bit was the stunning views of London... worth staying here for that alone.
Summary
Excellent accomodation, found free parking opposite which was a bonus and a lovely cafe for breakfast.
Bit og a pain having to bbok out at 10.30 and they charged s £20.00 as we wanted to book in a bit early. But the accomodation is lovely.
Location is good if you want the East End of London, brick lane, spittafields market, city etc
Would def stay again
I've stayed in a number of serviced appartments in London and this is one of the better ones for the Business traveller. No frills but clean and with all facilities I needed including free WiFi. Its handy for the tube - District Line and Metro.&City line.
Summary
My only negative comment was that although the location description was included in the details, the postcode was incorrect and as we were relying on GPS to locate the apartment we ended up walking into a rather rough area only to find we were in completely the wrong place. As I was travelling with my disabled mother and young son, this was rather unerving and we ended up walking for another half a mile to get back to the apartment. I was told at the check-in when we eventually found the right place that there are several postcodes linked to the apartments; I suggest you put the one likely to be used by Google maps on the contact address so that others do not make the same mistake.
Summary
Nice appartment, but central building heating (not the room heating) was turned up far too high. Was surprised to see the window open when I arrived, but I soon found out why. It was so hot that had to leave the window open - not good on the Commercial Road!
Summary
It was great except the kitchen there were not many kitchen utensils like a basic colander alos had to call the conciege three times before the dvd player was replaced as it was faulty other then that it was a great location and it was a pity that the room did not have a balcony. Would stay again though.
Summary
As a regular traveller to London for work, the Marlin Apartments are perfect, always in great locations, lovely rooms and decor. Perfect for a short stay in London. Thanks
Summary
Great room for an excellent price. Perfect!
Summary
Had no problems with this place, I think their customer relations suffer because a lot of young people seem to use the apartments to "party" I think they get caught out with the pre-auth for £200 on their cards and over occupancy surcharges and get the hump. My advice, read the terms before staying!!
The only disappointment I had was I booked a twin room and was given a double. They basically said the maids are gone for the day and they were fully booked so I ended up staying on the sofa. I will be e-mailing them to advise of this but I think they'll have thick skins and won't give me any concessions. I would use them again but beware on weekends it could get a little noisy.
Great apartment, good location, but rather surprised that I needed to come up with an additional GBP 200 deposit on arrival.

The receptionist booked me into a room which had been cleaned but there was a clean shirt in wardrobe, a book on the dresser and toiletry bag in bathroom. I was told this was left by previous tenant, items were taken away and apologies given. The room had actually been let to someone else who had a key and was surprised to find me in "his" bed when he returned from a function at midnight. Just as well I went to school with him 30 years ago!
Summary
Aldgate apartments were lovely. i would recommend anybody to stay here. we were originally allocated a room on the 12th floor but then we really wanted a room with a balcony and reception staff sorted this within minutes. the only thing wrong was that the ventilation heater was not working in the bathroom but they provided us with airfreshener. blacony was massive and the apartments were clean, warm and relaxing. kitchen was lovely and bedroom was a good size. we also got a sofa bed which the website they would charge us for but they didn't. however they did say they would charge us for an extra duvet for £10 which we thought was abit expensive so we made do without it. reception staff were very helpful and helped us with directions when we asked. overall the place has good transport links and also is very nice and clean. all furnishings look new and comfortable. would definately stay here again!
Summary
We arrived at 3.00pm to check in and had to wait an hour to check in.. when we was shown to our apartment the cleaners where still in the room. to which we had to stay outside for half an hour we had been in the room 2 hours when we wanted to use the bathroom facilities to which we had no hot water, we rang reception whom said we needed to read the manual and turn the boiler on , that would then take 45 mins to warm up!. this we would have done if we had been told upon entry to the room...which they failed to notify us. they did however offer us a late check out for the inconvience. but then never told reception of this as when we asked no one knew and want to charge us for a late check out... also in a dodgy area.. not safe for 2 girls travelling on own, But for new years eve not a bad price .. clean and spacious.. but wouldnt go again..
Summary
We were on the top (16th) floor and the view through the window - floor to ceiling, was fabulous. Cleanlines and facilities in apartment were excellent. I would definitely stay there again.
Summary
I can't fault this venue. Absolutely first-class accommodation but without food - which just helps my waist-line as we tend to eat normally!
Summary
Very good value, large apartment with clean, well equipped kitchen.really enjoyed our stay
Summary
I was told that we could check in at any time as the reception was manned 24hours. It was great to be able to check in later in the evening. The rooms were very comfortable and the apartment had great views over London, we could see Canary Wharf and the O2 from the sitting room. The apartment was spacious and the interior was very modern. It was a shame that I had to go to reception to get some milk for tea in the morning. I was also unable to get a VAT receipt from reception as we 'checked out' - there was no-one on the desk for 15 minutes and then she couldn't give me a receipt when she got back. This was annoying, especially as they had taken payment at the time of booking.
Summary
The apartment was excellent - comfortable, excellent facilities and new. Apartments are about 100m from Aldgate East tube so easy to get to. One minor point - you need photo - ID to check in.
Summary
Very Hot rooms resulting in all windows and doors being open which then made it a noisy room unfortunately. On the last night the TV aerials went down so no TV which reception although aware of had no ETA for a fix, it wasn't fixed that night. Very slow WiFi and poor signal in the apartment you had to walk around to find a signal. Overall very nice but for the money i wouldn't expect the small problems.
