POSITIVELY SURPRISED

The room and hence the twin beds were small, however, very comfortable! The location is great, very close to the tube station, and surprisingly quiet. The receptionist, a male, was indeed polite, pleasant, and very welcoming. The food shops are within walking distance. We had to leave very early, therefore did not get time to have breakfast , which was offered to us at a very good price. The only negative was we were at the top floor. It was quite a climb!

Very clean, friendly staff, great location

The location was fantastic, a 2 minute walk from Earl's Court tube station. The staff were very friendly. The room was clean and up to standard. The price was justified and would definitely stay again. One minor issue was the lack of reception on the tv, lots of channels were either not working or being interrupted.

Good but...

I was shocked that there wasn't a lift and I had to use the stairs all the way up to my room on the second floor. I don't think that it was stated in the website that there wasn't a lift. And the tv had no remote control and it wasn't working properly. Other than that, the staff were nice and helpful. And the heating of the room was very good.

Christmas stay

I stayed at the Maranton for a visit to the Royal Albert Hall. The location was excellent and the hotel extremely good value for money and comfortable.

It was a funky.old building. I saw no-one but the receptionist, he was helpful. clean;no waste.

It suited me well Thanks. I am trying to be environmentally conscious. I switched off the heating and opened the window. In the morning I had the unique London experience of being woken by the rumble of the first morning underground train and the song of a nightingale. Perfect .

London Stay

Hotel in a good location- quiet and very convenient, walking distance to the Earl's Court tube station and some good restaurents, cafes and pubs. Room was a little small for three of us but had a good size bathroom. We only had breakfast twice at the hotel which was basic but suited our needs & reasonably priced by London standards .

Central and convenient, just a short walk from Earl's Court Tube. Room at back was quiet and warm with perfectly adequate facilities especially considering reasonable price. Staff were friendly and helpfully allowed me to leave my bag early in the morning before my stay.

Hotel was clean and friendly but I should have been warned that we had to climb 60 stairs to reach our room. Luckily no one in my group was disabled. But if we had of been we would not have been able to get to the room.

Bit dated but clean and quiet... i.e. no train noises from Earls Court tube, like some local hotels.

Hotel a bit dated but good hospital welcome and friendly staff.
In general room was clean but facilities - shower, bathroom, decor etc dated, but good value at special offer rate of £85 prpn.
Other colleagues in other hotels complained of train noise - not apparent here! Would stay again if in need of 1 night stay at reasonable cost.
