Summary
The breakfast room was in the basement, and with limited space when it is busy there you find yourself having knowhere to sit....The hotel is obviously used by foreign nationals as we felt like the only English people there so no one understood us.
Summary
We stayed at the Lord Kensington hotel for one last week and were very pleased with the room.
Clean, and adequate size. Had everything we needed and in a great location too, 5 minutes walk from Earl's Court station.
Didn't eat so can't comment on food, breakfast was included in the price, however we didn't have time.
Would definitely stay again!
The room was made a little cramped by the inclusion of an, unnecessary for us, extra single bed but was clean and warm. The double bed was comfortable although a little small and awkwardly placed tight against the window. The room and bathroom were very clean, warm and generally quiet although there was some noise from the closing of the numerous fire doors.
All in all very good value for our short stay and I would certainly consider the hotel again.
A very small room very uncomfortable bed but the room was clean. central for our needs.
Summary
Very good value for money. Rooms clean and comfortable.
Summary
My wife and i were happy staying at the lord kensington. the hotel is very close to the underground. we found a couple of pubs close by which served good food. the hotel was a little on the small side, but the room and hotel was clean, and the staff very polite. for the price you could not complain. we would have no problem staying at the same hotel again
Summary
For the money the accommodation was excellent. Although small our room was clean and comfortable. Contrary to other reviews our room was in a fairly quiet position - quieter than I expected for central London - and we both slept well. The staff were courteous and helpful. If I had to give any criticism it would be that the room was a bit too warm. Would definitely recommend to others looking for a comfy overnight stay. Will stay there again!
Summary
They gave me a room whose windows opened opposite to the train station...............only slept for a couple of hours when there was no train service
Summary
Very convenient location, with lots of local shops, restaurants/takeaways, pub etc plus 3 minute walk to Earls Court station - however that can be the problem. You need earplugs! My first room overlooked the platform at Earls Court, and trains (plus anouncements) were constant throughout the night. I could not get the windows (which had been left open) to close, and although a member of staff came straight up and managed to close them, with no double glazing the noise was still too much to sleep through. I did complain (as the toilet did not flush and shower was blocked too) and was moved the following day to another room, on the opposite side of hotel - not an upgrade (tv alot smaller, too high up, and picture fuzzy), but quieter never the less. Staff were polite and helpful when they needed to be. Each 'double' room had a double and single bed squeezed in - rooms are small. 3 people, in either of these rooms, would have literally been on top of each other. It would have been better to have the extra space, without the single bed - even with only 2 people it would have been very cosy. Decor is basic and worn. Everything was clean, though the general age of fittings and furniture meant that it did not always feel clean. Breakfast was simple, continental, reasonable quality, and replenished quickly by staff, but equally nothing to write home about. Overall, if I had not known the rating of this hotel, I would have thought it was 2 or 3 star at best, and not good value for money (even at extortionate London prices).
Summary
Would be happy to stay there again. Easy connections for tube as only a few mins from Earls Court. Breakfast was sufficient and staff very friendly. Hotel would benefit from visitors being able to sit out in back garden on nice evenings. Only 5 stars for cleanliness as net curtains were a bit grubby, I am being picky though.
Summary
Would stay again.
Summary
Pleasant hotel situated near to Earl's Court tube, so handy for getting around.
We booked two rooms, a double for my husband and I and a twin for the girls, the twin was a reasonable size but ours was extremelly small with an en-suite that would have been more appropriate for a child - very tight fit!!
Breakfast good on Saturday morning but by Sunday we were on rations!
The accommodation was adequate just. No air com in a room so small as to be too hot and stuffy particularly as the window faced thenoisy tube station just over the road. If the window was open then the sound was more than obtrusive, if closed the room too stuffy, hot with no air flow. Breakfast was very good and service also good
Summary
Very nice hotel and staff, clean, GREAT location 2 blocks from Earls Court station - excellent for the price
Summary
Clean and tidy - friendly staff - rooms very small but ok - breakfast was very basic. Location good for Earls court Exhibition centre
Summary
I booked the Lord Kensington due to other reviews, price and the location. I was attending the Ideal Home Show and the hotel is literally round the corner. I found the staff to be extremely helpful and friendly. The room was clean and I must say the bed was very comfortable. My only criticism was that the room was incredibly hot and even though I turned the radiator valve down it still was too hot for me so I ended up with the window open full all night. However this was my only issue and in every other way the hotel was great. I would recommend it and would certainly stay there again - especially if I was visiting Earls Court.

Summary
The outer appearance is very poor and property next door very very dirty with lots of garbage around.
Hotel itself clean. Linen and towels excellent. Room clean, I was able to open the window, a big plus.
Workmanship in Showercubical was very poor and it had a substantial amount of black mould. The washhand basin was very tiny and full of lime around the taps.
I was asigned a room with single beds and when I asked for a change I had no difficulty. The room I used was on the top floor.
Dining area is small, there was pleanty of food but the croissant was not good at all.
Stayed for a business trip the room was a massive twin double and I paid for a single so very happy with that. As the room was at the front of the hotel on the first floor it was quite noisy and there wasn't too much for breakfast as it was continental but they kept it well stocked up.
Summary
I got my room for a steal and was expecting to get what I paid for - ie not a lot.
I had a really nice, small, clean, modern room - which in the location I would have happily paid a lot more for.
However, the real gem was the personal service from the owner.
I had a logistical nightmare which resulted in the owner running me around, lending me their personal car parking space & doing it all in the way that only smaller, personally run hotels can.
If you are staying anywhere near Earls Court/Kensington then stay here.
I found the room to be clean and tidy with an adequate bathroom en suite. The location was fantastic being next door to the tube station. On the negative side the window didn't shut totally which meant it was a bit too noisy (the train station being next door has a negative side too). In general I thought the hotel was good value for money considerin it's location.
Summary
Good value and comfort, ideal for centre of London
Summary
Everything in this hotel is on a small scale - reception area/rooms/breakfast room all very small but overall very clean and if you are just wanting somewhere to sleep it is adequate. On suite shower rooms are nicely done with excellent power shower. For general quality and prices in London this wasnt bad. With being on a side street it is quite you dont any road noise. Reception is locked on a night which is reassuring as being so near earls court exhibition centre you get a lot of people passing.
Summary
The hotel was clean and the staff really friendly. We arrived a little early, and they sorted our room out very quickly. Only thing that I would say let it down, was the size of the bedroom. It was absolutely tiny and extremely hot. I think we were above the boiler!!
Summary
Hotel clean throughout room not too warm first night fine second night. Next room resident had TV on all night first night, told management they made them turn itoff second night.
staff very polite and accomodating. Plenty of food in continental breakfast
This was outstanding for the money. Very clean all mod cons TV and hairdryer. Very clean, warm and above all quite! Thanks for a superb nights sleep....just as good as the main providers and better in my opinion!
Stayed at the Lord Kensington for 3 nights, the room was very clean and compact. Having read the reviews on laterooms and from their website I was very happy with my stay at this hotel as it was exactly what I expected.
Very freindly reception staff that were always welcoming and happy to help. The hotel is in a great location quite literally 2 minutes from Earls Court tube station.
I would happily stay here again.
Late overnight stay. Did what it said on the tin
Summary
The first room we were put into was so small and very dirty and looking out onto the back courtyard which was just as bad.The window was open and a cat on the window ledge.I have a severe cat allergy. We were moved to another room much bigger and slightly cleaner. However the balcony was full of litter.I would rate this as a 2 star. The staff were very helpfull and accomadating which helped.
Summary
This is a basic tourist-class hotel for travelers who are looking for a clean and comfortable place to stay. Conveniently located in Earl's Court, just a block from the underground, transportation in from the airport is easy. There are great pubs and restaurants nearby. The hotel staff was friendly and accommodating.
Summary
Good value for money hotel, super location within easy reach of Earls Court tube station and all attractions. Would use again due to location.
Summary
I appreciate for under£100 you're not going to find a spacious room with loads of character. I need a clean room, decent shower, wi-fi and a bed I can sleep in. The bed here was so poor it was unreal. So would never stay there again.
That said its really convenient for earl's court station and the pubs and restaurants in walking distance make it a good location. The receoptionist on arrival was very helpful. the night shift guy was quite intimidating.
Would I stay again- probably not and I would nt pay more than £50/night if I had to. Indeed following week spent £130/night even though they had rooms avail for under £75.
