A Guide to Earls Court

about earls court

For those who like a quiet night in, look no further than the peaceful, affluent surroundings of Earls Court. Typically old London pubs and taverns can frequently be found throughout Earls Court and is still the main attraction for globe-trotting tourists and many who have decided to make it their home. Earls Court is still close enough to visit the livelier corners of London via a short walk, or alternatively the District and Piccadilly tube lines.

The major attraction to be found is the Earls Court Exhibition Centre, the multi-purpose hall that has been the setting for some of the biggest events and concerts in London, from the Ideal Home Show to the Brit Awards. One other venue that is worth noting is the Troubadour Club, a wonderful cafe and live music venue, which hosted artists such as Bob Dylan and Jimi Hendrix before they were household names.

The streets of Earls Court are lined with plush, multi-storey accommodation, reinforcing its potential as the ideal location to act as your base for your stay.

Did You Know? Earls Court tube station was fitted with the London Underground's first escalator in 1911.
