We only stayed the one night so was ok, wouldn't have wanted to stay any longer. The beds were seriously hard. Sadly room was next to the lift so was fairly noisy until the early hours. Ok for the money.

Summary
Wasn't expecting any frills, just basic accommodation which was clean at a great price. quiet area which was important as I had work to do in the evening. would stay again. excellent location.
Summary
Nice warm hotel grat price helpful staff loads of hot water room very lean if not a bit dated
Breakfast a bit dull but I paid £45.00 for a night !!!
I would stay again for sure near some good pubs mini markets etc al you need for central London at a fraction of the price
We enjoyed our stay very much.
Summary
I was looking for somewhere comfortable and very close to my office rather than travelling home late. I know the Lancaster Gate area well and this is an easy walk from Bayswater. Many of the Victorian properties around this area have been/are being refurbished and this would suit someone who is not needing 4/5-star luxury. Situated in a quiet square, excellent sized double bedroom and large ensuite bathroom. The only adverse comment is that the inclusive breakfast could have been more imaginative. But for the price and my needs, it was adequate.
Summary
OK for one night. Fridge in room plus tea and coffee good points. Poor TV with only 4 channels.
Small room but comfortable- bit of street noise.
...if you need a bed and not bothered about the decor, I don't think I could recommend a hotel more than this one. Price wise it was as good as anything I've ever stayed in in London, very much recommended.
Summary
Went for a leisurely trip with a young child. Check-in was speedy, although our room was not ready, they initially allocated us a double room instead of a triple, but this was swiftly remedied and we were moved to another room with space for another bed. Quite a nice room, very clean, large fridge, air conditioning, tea/coffee making facilities. Sleep quality was great, a very quiet road and our room backed on to a lovely garden with squirrels close to the window climbing up and down the tree!! The hotel was in a great location, very close to Lancaster Gate tube, about a 5-10 min walk and close to Paddington Station, about a 10-15 min walk. Breakfast was ok, cereal, toast and croissants. You could ask for a full English at about £9.00 per person, but we didn't bother. Maid service was good, room cleaned every day, etc. When we are back in London, we will definitely stay again.
Summary
As I said in the title, planning to stay for a couple of nights? this place is perfect. I only stayed one night which only cost 40 quid. Friendly, central, clean. What more do you want?
Summary
Very happy with all
Summary
This hotel is fairly clean. That's the best I can say. The staff are next to useless and pretty unfriendly. The bar and restaraunt/ breakfast room are hideous and crammed in the dingy basement. The breakfast is rubbish, continental only and no real variety, just cereal and dry croisants. The room is dingy, the bed covers scratchy, old and uncomfortable, the TV is tiny and only had five channels. There are soooo, so many stairs and when we got there, the lift was broken so we had to lug everything up the stairs. No help was offered by the staff. The hot water in the bathroom was set to scalding, it was seriously, dangerously hot. The plug didn't even fit the bath and we had to send out for the staff to find us a correct plug! No plug in the sink at all. The room is sweaty and hot and the air conditioning unit just did not work. Everything about this hotel is old, and naff. I am so glad we didn't pay the usual £135 per night because it would have been an outrageous rip off.
Summary
We had arrived early and were accomadated without fuss. The rooms though a bit tired served us well and the staff were friendly and helpful. The area is excellent close to all amenities. We travelled as a family and would be happy to stay there again.
Summary
Very friendly staff. huge family room with bathtub/ shower.only a minutes rom hyde park. very close to lancaster gate tube and well served by public transport.room even had a small fridge freezer.
Local amenities nearby( i.e tesco / sainsburys ). good range of restaurants nearby, all within 10 minutes walking distance.
Stayed only one night.
Good: Very big room (3 single beds) on the top floor. Clean bedding. Breakfast (continental) ok and staff very pleasant. Good water pressure in shower. Good location.
Bad: Lift, corridors not clean. Room dated and could do with deep clean.
Overall: more expensive than better hotels in this area. A refurb or even at least a focus on cleaning would make a big difference.
Fine.
Summary
Good, cheap, clean budget hotel - would stay there again.
Summary
Very nice building from the outside , staff very polite and helpful, standard of the room poor very dated tv not working bathroom dirty !
Summary
Everything about this place is just right, if you want a quiet place near Hyde Park then come here. Only the TV was out of tune. Room G1 has a thin wall so avoid it if you want a peaceful night.
Otherwise all good, fast flowing hot water for a nice bath.
I needed a comfortable bed at very late notice. For £30 bed & breakfast (usually £120) this was very good value. fresh bedding & towels with plenty of free toiletries to use. Basic but what I needed to get a few hours sleep. Breakfast was served for a long time which was useful for business & leisure guests. good selection of english & continental food. Would recommend this hotel if you want a city crash pad if you could get at a discounted rate.
Summary
Very good
well pleased with room and service
cannot comment on food , cheap upgrade to full english but has to be booked by 4.00pm
i woke up early so left early and walked to my destination savd not having to buy peake rtate tube ticket, therefore i had an english breakfast for less .
Clean tidy freindly staff
Summary
The hotel is in a quiet part of lancaster gate. underground stations & buses are a short walk
away. hyde park & kensington gardens are within easy walking distance . there are plenty of
places to eat & reasonable pubs in the area. the hotel is very good value for money-considering this is london. however, the hotel is in need of some attention & updating.
Nice hotel, just a short distance from Hyde Park. The google map location is not quite accurate, it is on the opposite side of the square to the map. Rooms are basic but clean and comfortable.
Fine for weekend breaks, London sightseeing etc.
Good value, clean basic accommodation providing bed and breakfast. But though a traffic free street there was much night time noise (every night), due to lack of double glazing, caused through delivery vehicles. But good location north edge of Kensington Gardens; 5 minutes from tube station
Summary
You get what you pay for, for £45 in January we got a room on the small side but adaquate. Small Tv which we didnt use, plenty of tea making facilities, very hard bed with clean sheets that were anything but luxury. Its in a quiet location just a stones throw from hide park, and only 15/20 mins walk away from the end of oxford street. Only five mins from the nearest tube stop as with most hotels in london. Breakfast is cereals, toast, croissants but you have to pay for cooked breakfast. If youre looking for somewhere to stay just for a night then this is adequate but i've stayed in nicer hotels for the price and wouldnt spend more than a couple of nights here using it as a base to explore from.
Summary
Excellent location, very competitively priced. Good Continental Breakfast at easy hours.
Clean and comfortable room, but decor a little 'tired'. Very good value for money at the price we paid. Would definitely use again with a similar rate.
Room 301 was next to the lift so noisy until 1.30am when people had stopped using lift.
Room was large with single bed and double and was comfortable.
Shower curtain smelled although looked clean--needs changing.
Room clean but very dated and requiring repainting. A bit of a maze finding the room but no-one offered to help when we arrived. All staff we encountered were not exactly rude but were completely lacking in personality. We genuinely felt ignored - for example the breakfast staff consisted of two people. One ignored us totally and gave no eye contact. The other offered us one cup of tea only, not a pot and no offer of a refill and spent almost all of the time we were there talking in another language to another guest with her back to all the other guests, completely ignoring them. We were told to follow her into the breakfast room but were not shown a table, just left in the middle of the room while she continued into the kitchen without a backward glance. We were not offered anything from the breakfast table but had to assume that we were supposed to make our own way up. No acknowledgement from staff when we left the breakfast room. Reception staff were civil but with no personality. We did not feel at all welcome but only tolerated. The positive point was that we could leave our luggage at the hotel the following day. I can honestly say that I cannot rememberstaying anywhere else where staff had this attitide.
Summary
Before our stay we tried to contact the hotel both by email and by phone. They did not answer at all!
The staff at the hotel reception delivered a very poor service. They would not help with booking tours or restaurants, and had no knowledge of what was going on in the city.
The location was nice, only a few bus stops from oxford street.
I would not choose this hotel again.
This hotel is excellent location and cheap, and I have stayed here several times previously with no problems. This time however, I got a basement room 'G2' which was very noisy overhead - until 1am, and from 5am. I probably will not stay again because of this, or if I do, definately not a basement room. The wi-fi was also not working during my stay, which meant I had no communication with the office.
Summary
It was nice to get away for so little. staff was friendly, room was clean and it was cheap. I would defiinitely go again. there was a mix up with my change of room the second night but, receptionist dealt with it quickly and proffesionally
Summary
Friendly, clean, cheap, in a nice and quiet area of London too minutes from hyde park and 10 minutres from paddington, perfect for me.
Summary
I'd stay here again - central but quiet, and very good value for money.
Summary
Website says hotel been revenurated i didn/t see anything that had been updated in fact everything was extremely old and well past it's used by date, everything was poor even down to it being a struggle to open the room door. only hotel i've ever felt uncomfortable in traveling alone or with my husband
Summary
The description of this hotel was completely different from my experience. The staff were rude (did not say hello, goodbye or thank you for anything) the room was tiny and not recently restored since the 1980s and the 'air conditioing' was a really really noisy fan that could not be on whilst you slept - and trust me you need this in mid summer Londoin temprature. Really disappointed with the accommodation and would not reccommened it, particulaly to couples
the only thing going for the hotel is the location but sure there much nicer places to stay.
It was coming up to 9pm and I forgot to book a room for the night, got onto the smart phone to book online but there was a problem on lateroom website. Had to call and make reservation. Either way for 40£ we couldnt go wrong as breakfast was included. Room was an adequate size had all the normal room stuff. TV was a bit out dated but we didnt really bother using that. Staff were friendly.
Summary
Food and staff at breakfast were good, place's condition / decor okay to pleasant, Erebuni restaurant downstairs very enjoyable, but when we first arrived late afternoon no-one was at the reception desk, and no-one arrived in twenty minutes! In the end, a "friend" of the receptionist undertook to give us a room key and allow us access to our facilities.
Summary
First time but not the last.
Summary
Attended for 2 day conference, excellant base and would come again. Very basic breakfast but all you need with friendly staff.
Summary
Too small diningroom (we couldn't get a table one morning), and the breakfast was not worth the money!
