What you need to know
The London Elizabeth was originally built in 1850 as three private houses in a new terrace of elegant family homes on Lancaster Gate Terrace, as it was then known, in the area of Bayswater, London. Each room at the London Elizabeth now boasts newly installed double or secondary windows specifically to deaden noise - and we have found they really do make a significant difference. The only exception to our new windows is in room 225, whose original 1850 arched leaded glass window has bent dramatically with the building's movement over 150 years. At the rear of the hotel, room 225 is exceptionally quiet. All bedrooms are with private ensuite facilities, remote control colour TV, radio, direct dial telephone, hairdryer, individually controlled central heating and overhead fan. All Deluxe Bedrooms and Suites are fully air-conditioned and non-smoking.
