The room was incredibly small, The room being so small you had to stand on the bed the use the mirror at the end of it on the wardrobe unit. Not sure when the room was last cleaned properly, found a sock belonging to a previous guest under the bed. Overall feel was that the room was comfortable, but the furnishing in the room (27) are starting to look tired. The bathroom looked recently done up and was very good. Didn't get chacnce to try the breakfast as I had to leave fairly early the day after.
Also worth noting the card surcharge includes debit cards!
The room was worth £44 for the night given the area it was in, but having apparently 'saved' £76 on the normal rate I'm not sure I'd be prepared to spend that amount on a room there!

Certainly not suitable for a couple.

It was good value for money and great for a short stay very close to paddington station for easy train access.

Great location, room was clean and modern, hotel staff were friendly. Not much of a view from room but what do you expect for £20 each / night in Central London? Could not ask for more for the price paid therefore would recommend highly
We didn't eat breakfast as we overslept after a night out so can't comment on that bit...

Never has a truer phrase been spoken though for any traveler, there is always that slight disappointment when you actually find this out for yourself. The rooms that my partner and I,plus my mum were given on our stay were adequate at best and below average at worst. If I were to really analyse every single fault with both rooms then this piece would probably be several pages long however, I will stress that based on the £85 per night we paid as well as the location; a few minute's walk from Paddington Station and the fact that we only wanted somewhere to sleep, shower and get some breakfast, I would recommend it to anyone on a budget who isn't that fussed about a few inconveniences.
One thing I think anyone who is due to stay at this hotel would be interested in though is that when you arrive and pay for your room in advance, they do hit you with a 2% charge if you want to use your debit or credit card so try to use cash. Somewhat inexcusable for me personally though is the fact that the proprietor tried to sting me for 4% whilst charging the man in the queue behind me only 2!! In other words, be aware.

Having had a couple of hotel nightmares when trying to stay in London for £70 or less, I was feeling wary, but I had a warm reception, my room was clean with good bathroom and modern/recent decoration and breakfast was fine for the price. I will definitely stay again.

I am sorry to say that this was not a hotel I was thinking and what I thought it was when I saw it on internet.To small rooms and it was a very strange and awful smell in the room. It looked like fungus in the shower. The breakfast was sad to see, why do you serve juice in plastic cups? The boiled eggs came out on the breakfast table around 8 the breakfast started at 7am Sorry, not a hotel to recommend maybe to younger people but not to family's.

Basement a little noisy, but the room was much nicer than i expected for £35. Braekfast could be better, but i'm not that bothered about eating this time anyway.
Overall- i will be stopping here again.

I got this room very late very cheap and thought I would give it a go. The reception is clean and bright and the staff are courteous. Room was bigger than expected with a double and a small double. Comfortable settings and nicely decorated rooms, hallways were a bit shabby but that's all. Breakfast was very basic eggs toast or fruit salad and one choice of cereal but was OK. Would recommend this hotel for a short stay or over night trip. Small but nice bathroom - everything you need for short stay - no complaints except wrong directions on LateRooms so took a little longer to find.

Clean, cheep and cheerful. the staff are very nice and helpful. the cleaners afre also the breakfast helpers. had a tv with all freeview channels, room was cleaned in the morning. Shower worked. Great location for tube and not far from paddington so you wont have to drag or carry casses. All good, nothing special.
