Nice room but very small - to be expected in Central London. Good location, within 3 minutes of Hyde Park and Marble Arch Tube. No lift in the hotel so unsuitable for wheelchairs and buggies. We didn't eat in the hotel but they offered breakfast and dinner at good prices. Friendly service and traffic was surprisingly quiet for Central London. Very reasonably priced for a London hotel. Good for couples on a city break.

room very small, no good for a family in my opinion and no bathroom just a shower cubicle with toilet where you got wet feet after using shower, same as you would find on a boat with cheapest cabin.

Fairly disappointing all round. No lift in building and fire escape arrangements very poor with most staff totally ignorant of what they are. Dining room so depressing I opted not to stay for the food that was included in my room price. Most staff not well trained but polite enough. Room a bit cramped and shower very cheap with ill-fitting curtain so bathroom became wet-room.

Nice friendly staff but the rooms very tiny and the bathroom was almost crammed into a cupboard! The breakfast was cheap but not very nice, seemed to have cheap ingredients. Also, although the bedroom did sleep two - myself and a friend, its was very cramped and was more like a 3/4 bed than a double.

I knew the room would be small from the reviews. It was tiny! But the bed was comfortable and the room had all I needed. Good service, very good value indeed for London. A friend and I had the evening meal there and it was home cooking style. Not large quantities, but no complaints for the price. Don't eat there if you want a wide choice/lots of alcohol, though!

My sister and i recently stayed one night in the hotel. this was our first trip to London and was surprised to find that the hotel was in such a good location for easy access to most popular venues at a very reasonable price. Although a very lived in style of accommodation it was very clean and cheerful. The room was small but compact and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We paid and extra £4.90 for a full english breakfast which was worth every penny. More importantly to us we felt safe! We would certainly return when visiting again.

You get what you pay for............you can't expect much for £75 just off Oxford Street. The accomodation is very basic and tired. This was a one night stop-over after a night out in town, rather than catch the train home. I wouldn't have wanted to stay here for anything more than one night.

Marble Arch is a great location for getting around London via bus or underground and the Lincoln House is only three short blocks away from the stop. The room was very comfortable and the breakfast good. We did not sample their dinner. Only problem - our initial room was on floor 3 (4th floor U.S.) and there is no lift. The staff was very helpful and moved us to a lower level room on the second day. Ask for a lower level is you have problem with stairs.

We were amazed at this hotel. Apart from being so central, once inside there was peace and quiet and although small, we didn't feel cramped. Our room was very clean and comfy, and the food ....... well, where in a London hotel can you get a full English [coffee, toast unlimited] for £4.50 ? Thoroughly recommended.

This is a very cute "little" hotel. If you can look past that they have 4 floors with no lift this is the hotel for you. Also for being the centre part of London, this hotel is excellent quality for your money. The staff was very helpful and they had all the amenities for send/receiving faxes and emails. Also they have free wireless internet on every floor. The resturant stays open till 23:00 and has a descent menu. Very good stay!

Breakfast was also only £3.90 and it was plentiful too. Astonishing value food. The decor might be a little old fashioned for some, however it was fine for my needs. After a lot of internet searching for a clean Hotel in London for my Husband & i to stay for a short for his birthday, we came across the Lincoln Hotel, all previous reviews said this Hotel was very clean, which was what i was mainly looking for, as a lot of other Hotels had bad reviews and a lot of places were stated as dirty or grubby.I must say i was very pleased with the cleanliness of the Hotel, although the room was quite small it was all we needed for our overnight visit to go and see a show in the West end and do some shopping, the bed was very comfy and had crisp white sheets. The en suite was small but again was adequate for the two of us, the only grumble i had was that our room was right next to the kitchen so the smell of food in our room was really strong, but really didnt stay awake long enough to mind, after a long day and night trekking around london. All in all we both had a fabulous couple of days, in a lovely clean Hotel, thanks to all the lovely staff at the Lincoln Hotel.xx

I like this place - it's quite quirky, all fitted out with wood panelling and with a maritime theme, but it works, and it's better than a lot of boring (and seedy) hotels in the area. The rooms are pretty small - I booked one of the larger ones (standard double at about £100/night) just for myself, but it was comfortable and clean, and quiet - I had a third floor room looking over the rear mews and it was pretty quiet considering the hotel is on Gloucester Place. Internal noise was there but not too bad; one group of slightly tipsy young ladies at 3am, but hey...Staff were friendly and helpful; I didn't try the food but there is a bargain 3-course meal with beer that looks fun and good value judging by the comments left. Best of all, free wireless Internet throughout (at least 4 APs that I could discover) - just ask for the WPA phrase at reception - plus an Internet terminal in the lobby.Overall a good base for a stay in West London (particularly coming in from Paddington, which is easily walkable if you know the area) - I shall use it again!

The room was small but adequate for a couple of nights stay. It was very clean and the staff were very helpful. The evening meal wasn't brilliant but then it didn't cost me anything as it was included in the room deal. Just one criticism, I booked a taxi through the hotel as I had to be somewhere for an appointment and it cost me twice as much as a black cab would've done. I know this as I got a black cab back and it was half price. Still I'll know next time! I would book this hotel again as it was a good base for shopping and sightseeing.

The hotel is conveniently located for central London and Oxford Street, Marble Arch and Hyde Park. The single room was at the back of the hotel and there was no traffic noise. The room was well decorated and though not spacious, I knew it would not be before I arrived, had enough space without feeling cramped. It was clean and the bed linen of a good standard. The air conditioning was a welcome feature. The only minus point was that the toilet was in a cubicle with the shower and space was at a premium. Having said that, the shower was excellent with a good force. I did not eat there so cannot comment on the state of the dining room or quality of food. With the exception of the carpet on the stairs leading to the reception desk which is worn, the hotel comes across of a well maintained, welcoming establishment. I would happily use it again.

Initially we were very disappointed with the quality of the hotel. Carpets in public areas very worn and placed smelled of stale cooking smells. Reception and dining room are situated in basement area down very narrow staircase. We checked in early and our room was, understandably, not ready so we left our bags and returned at about 9.30 in the evening. The room we were given on the ground floor, room 5, had no windows, only a skylight so felt very claustraphobic. The "shower room" is a tiny cubicle incorporating a toilet and shower. Sitting on the loo meant having your feet in the shower. The doorway is raised up from the ground so anyone with any mobility problems would not be able to manage. That said, after a comfortbale night's sleep in a kingsized bed which was almost the width of the room we started to feel differently. Although very cramped the room was clean and comfortable once you got used to its restrictions. The airconditioning worked well but seems to have an chemical air freshener in it which doesn't smell very nice. The hotel is perfectly placed for shopping and sightseeing being just behind Selfridges in Oxford Street and close to Marble Arch and Bond Street . We probably wouldn't stay again but acknowledge that it is probably good value for money given its central location. We didn't eat there so can't comment on the food.
