The Hidden Gem of North West London

Really comfortable accommodation, close to Hampstead Underground and a myriad of local hostelries dispensing the products of several interesting breweries, near and far.
Quality of food at La Gaffe is excellent and somewhat mouthwatering, whilst the customer service is first class.
All in all, a lovely place to stay with staff who know how to make a customer happy. Well done!

A Pleasant Few Days in Hampstead

The hotel was small and perhaps more accurately described as a restaurant with rooms. Our welcome was cheerful and our room, although a little small, was immaculate. the bathroom was spotless so no complaints in this area. Breakfast was Continental and adequate and the food in the restaurant was good and sensibly priced.
The hotel was ideally situated for us to visit our daughter in Hampstead and provided an excellent location, an intimate atmosphere and very good value for money.

Lovely friendly place

I found La Gaffe a lovely, friendly, place, and very convenient for Kenwood House on Hampstead Heath. I'd describe it as a restaurant with rooms rather than a hotel. The food was great and so were the people. My ensuite shower/toilet was a little cramped, but that was really the only minus. I would recommend travellers not to bring too much luggage, as there are lots of stairs and also a long uphill walk from Hampstead tube station.

Cozy B&B in Hampstead

A friendly staff. Room was small but adequate. En suite bathroom spacious. Breakfast adequate but monotonous for longer stay. We enjoyed our dinners. Convenient location near the Tube. Close to Central London but feels a world away.

My husband and I stayed here for one night as we were visiting Highgate cemetery.
It is a lovely small hotel but no pretensions.Very clean, lovely bathroom and no pointless rules and regulations.
The staff are great as well and we are not easy to please believe me !
The food in the Italian restaurant was very good and reasonably priced.
All in all, a great hotel, would deffo stay again.

This hotel came as a bit of a shock after reading some glowing reviews

On the plus side- we were given a warm welcome (until we asked to change rooms for a quieter one when the smile faded somewhat). The photos on the Hotels website were done by a real pro- I don't know how he/she managed to make the rooms look so large- they are tiny, and very old fashioned. The furnishings look as though they were sourced from a junk shop. The shower was small, and towels were worn, though clean. The pillows reminded you that many heads had slept on them, and were very uncomfortable.

No complaints...

Stayed at the hotel for one night and enjoyed our stay. The staff were friendly and welcoming, the room was slightly small but we expected this given the location. The room was clean and contained everything we required. Short walk to Hampstead high street, very nice area. Would stay here again.

Nice Place in Fantastic Area

Very nice place with a lot of character. Although I was in a pretty small room it met my needs. Only had continental breakfast but that was fine too.

Overnight in Hampstead

This is a perfect location for a short stay in London. Ours was necessitated by having to attend a funeral in N London--hence the choice of location. We arrived at lunchtime well before check-in time, in a hurry, to get to the service, and the management couldn't have been more helpful in keeping our luggage for us until our return in the early evening. We had an extremely good meal in the restaurant. Although our room was small, it was very clean--indeed we felt we could have been in Italy. Would recommend La Gaffe for any short stay--very good value and very friendly.

Enjoyable stay

La Gaffe represents excellent value for money situated in a very nice part of Hampstead. The single room was very clean, simply furnished and ideal for an economy minded traveller. My only very small criticism was the squeaky floor. Definitely recommended.

La Gaffe

A hotel with its own individual charm in a beautiful area and close to excellent public transport links. A good place to stay if travelling alone. Not good if travelling by car. Parking is very restricted around the hotel. I had to park on the road a good 20 minute walk away. Although this was unrestricted, safe and free. I stayed in a very small single room. It was fairly clean but in need of refurbishment and some maintenance. The staff, however, were very friendly and I would stay at La Gaffe again.
