The Hotel was very central and the direction...
The Hotel was very central and the direction on the map were excellent. Only one problem we stayed in room 217 which was directly beside the Elevator which I heard off and on throughout the night but the beds were extremely comfortable.

At the laterooms price, an excellent stay -- don't think I'd pay full rack rate though. Position is great. Nice place to stay and staff very professional and friendly. Breakfast was excellent -- Eggs Benedict best I've ever had!!

The room was lovely, the bed was very comfortable, staff were really helpful, and the location was excellent. We don't normally like hotels, but I would recommend this one to anyone.

Check your bill, our room rate was bed and breakfast, but the hotel added an extra charge for breakfast. However, when I telephoned them the next day, they did say they would refund the charge.

I'd e-mailed the hotel a few days earlier...
I'd e-mailed the hotel a few days earlier, telling them it was my wife's birthday, and (hopefully) asked if they'd consider upgrading us. They didn't (the hotel was full), but 10 mins after we arrived there was a knock at our door, and they delived a beautiful strawberry & chocolate cream cake, with their compliments. Our deluxe room was very modern, smart and clean, although our view out the window was of an external staircase. No wonder they'd closed the curtains. The bed and pillows were beautiful.<br />Only gripes about the room are that the lighting is confusing - it's either very dark or very bright (dimmers would be nice!), and the water temperature control in the bath was very stiff and hard to ajust. <br />The staff were very friendly, including the concierge who ran around the streets outside until he found us a taxi. The breakfast was good (although the cooked breakfast had very small portions.<br />On checkout, our bill had 5% "optional gratuity" and the cost of the breakfast added, although the LateRooms booking confirmation assured me these were included in my rate. I explained this to the receptionist, and he had to check before deducting them and giving me a new bill.<br />Other than that, and that I consider ALL top London hotels to be too expensive, I'd recommend the hotel and would certainly consider staying there again.

The food in the restaurant was variable Dinner...
The food in the restaurant was variable. Dinner was good, breakfast was not. Overcooked food and service was slow. Having said that, they did send a specially cooked meal to my room after I left without eating anything.<br />The rooms are very nice but small. We had a luxury room, not sure what the difference was between that and a standard room. We did not have a balcony that the room description gave. The bathroom is even smaller. However if you just want a base for shopping then it's OK. The bar isn't really conducive to socialising, it's just a small space off the lobby. Location is great for Knightsbridge.

It is very well situated and rooms at the rear are quiet.<br />All rooms are small and ours (double) only had 1 easy chair.<br />For those who like making tea in the room the coffee machines provided are hopeless. Room service is efficient and will bring a tray but at a cost of approx 10 for 2 -- not our preferred option.<br />Staff are mostly, young, charming and enthusiastic.<br />The sting in the tail is the 5% "optional" service charge added to what is already a reasonably pricey rate.<br />We have been staying at the hotel for 20 years under 4 ownerships and Jumeirah is making the best fist of it by far.

Room, although newly refurbished, was very small including the bathroom. Staff seemed to be struggling to live up to the high expectations of a 5 star hotel. The Jumeirah Carlton round the corner would probably be a better bet. Breakfast took an age to arrive when ordered and very inexperienced staff made it a chore. Extremely expensive if not in the room rate and would definitely would not be worth it.

i had a confirmation e-mail showing that my deluxe room would have a balcony, the hotel advised when we arrived that not all rooms have balconies and as the hotel was full they could not give us one, phone hotel before you go to make sure they put you in a balcony room. My rate included breakfast they tried to tell me this would only be continentel i advised them that breakfast means cooked food after taking copies of my booking with laterooms they agreed i was correct do not let them get away with this.

Excellent location. Breakfast was one of the best. Room while compact were very comfortable, well laid out and had excellent facilities. We would have no hesitation in recommending this hotal for a luxury short break or the well heeled business traveller.

Only had the breakfast, which were very good. Around the corner is their sister hotel, which has a superb leisure facility. A nice quiet location, friendly, helpful staff.

The loo in our room was running all...
The loo in our room was running all night as there was no-one available to repair it, this made sleeping very difficult. When we arrived back at the hotel the next afternnon after being at work we were told the problem had been fixed, but it had not and we had to change rooms, this was very inconvenient. I expected to be upgraded to better room because of this but we weren't, otherwise we were pleased with the service etc.. and would stay again, very convenient for shopping.

Nice new boutique hotel, good quite location and about 5 to 10min walk main shopping attractions of Knightsbridge. I had a problem with accessing pay movies, they sent someone immediately to resolve however were unable to so they refunded the charge no questions asked. Overall good service and friendly staff.

No bath in bathroom and no tea making in room, only a fancy coffee machine which took an age to work out how to use...breakfast very unorganised, lacking tables in restaurant so had to wait a while before being seated. Brought bacon on the vegetarian breakfast ie didn't listen to the order...weird tiny bits of toast and poured tea out for you...big no no!! Rooms quiet at night and good location for shopping.

Execellent service but this should be included in...
Execellent service but this should be included in the quoted price and NOT added as a descretionary service charge to your bill at the end, this was very disappointing . Guests reward outstanding service by tipping staff so they need to rethink this approach of blank service charge, it really put me off what was otherwise a lovely hotel.
