I had issues with extras as payment for the room had been taken up front, so everything I added (drinks, breakfast etc) had to be paid for at the time & not simply added to the bill. I have never experienced this before.

We stayed here last year and found it difficult to find fault with this budget hotel. However, this year, things were not quite so good. The hotel apparently, has an airport shuttle bus service throughout the day for £3 per person, however, we were not offered this and we had to take a taxi for the short journey to the airport at an incredible £8.50 during the daytime and worse; £14.80 after midnight.
The hotel only seems to use this one taxi company and one has to ask the question why?? Beware!!
The cooked breakfast is poor with only scambled eggs offered, which had been sitting there for way too long! I asked for a freshly cooked fried egg but was told that they could not provide one.
They could do with rethinking this policy as just because this is a budget hotel does not make it ok to provide a poor breakfast. Must do better!!
Cheap airport hotel. Okay for the money. Bus ride from airport is a good 10min and cost £3 each person either through main bus or hotel shuttle. Rooms ok, nothing special. Did the job for an overnight stay for an early morning flight. Was the cheapest around.

In the Night the electric in my room shout off and only my room just as I needed to be up for a 4.am flight. I call down thay tried to make out it was my problem. I was told that no-one will fix it till 10am. which means I have to get ready without any lights. They did not have any temporary lights that I could used. So I have to used the screen on my mobile phone to see .
After taken my client to the airport I then had to fight with the manager as he felt that a 7.00£ refund was decent.
I was also shock to find out that you paid for everything except for breathing..

Not bad at all once you find the shuttle bus stop at Gatwick. Staff seem very welcoming. Clean simple furniture TV and a hot shower. They have a restaurant if you need it (a good pub is 5mins walk away with great food!) Ibis is always functional- not luxury, so don't expect glitz and glamour. All in all a good value place to overnight.

For the price this was a good option if you have an early flight the next day. The only issue I had was the £5 charge for the overnight car park, something that was not mentioned on the website when booking. Apart from that, the place was clean, reasonably comfortable if unspectacular.

Fine for the price and friendly welcome. Niggles are the car park, tiny and tight for space, plus no hair dryer in the room - would be good to be told about this in advance to save going back down to reception. Fine as an airport stay.

It was a special Dad and sons away for the weekend, I have a weekly visit with them every Saturday and that time means so much to my sons and I. The staff of course, had no knowledge of this but made us all feel special when we arrived, during our stay and when we left. It was very important that my sons were happy and comfortable and they were, thanks to the staff there at the Ibis Hotel. We shall stay again for our special weekends. Thank you.
