Found this hotel by its hyped savings of 650 pounds for 2 nights - single accomodation priced at 65 pounds. I found the room to be of high standard for a single, excellent shower pressure and bathroom - room refurbished. It would be more realistic to say that this room was at normal rack rate of .... rather than flaunt the 650 pound saving - its not a Sheraton, but is trying to be like one - rather like a imitation Louis Voiton bag etc - looks like the real thing.
All in all bed was excellent with good cotton sheets also nicely air conditioned and free wifi
TV's need tuning in as reception poor for flat screen - otherwise would stay again and self rate as 3-4 star. Breakfast way too expensive at 14 pounds 95 p in Paddington - get a life

we only slept there for 1 night , but there were few things though we didn't like, I didn't get any warm water when I took a shower , and the underground train is really near the building so you can hear the noise every 10 minutes or so ! and the rooms are really hot it's really hard to turn down the temperature because I was in the basement in some room with a window that is not able to open. But hey , it's a 4 star hotel and the room costed 450pounds I think,, but I got it on 65 pounds can't complain but I give 5/5 stars for the service and nice looking hotel and 3/5 stars for the rooms

Whilst the room was clean and the bed comfortable, I have never been in such a small room in all my life it was impossible to walk comfortable around the bed.
I also did not know that there was such a small shower base on the market, once in the shower which was tricky, if you wanted to turn around you needed to get out and come in backwards!
Certainly no room for more than one at a time in the batroom and if I sat on the loo I needed to keep the door open for my knees!
Would hate to have had top pay any more than we did.
The other problem was parking which was a ten minute walk away.
All in all would only recommend to very small people!

Located just 5 mins from Paddington Station it was convenient for trnasport but its location suggested a countryfied suburb. 5 mins to Kensington Gardens meant we could relax on a summers afternoon after spending 2 days sight-seeing. Enough eatinng house/pubs and restuarants aound if you want to stay local. The accomodation was clean although perhaps a little cramped for more than 1 nights stay and when the elevator is re-installed it will complete the place.

The room was extremely small. I stayed in one of the Best Western hotels before (Shaftesbury in Earl's Court) and this is way I booked again with them. There is no way to compare both hotels. I paid 59 pounds per night at the Earl's court one and I was given a Club room and I paid 79 pounds per night and I was given a PRESUMED deluxe double room.
The room, bathroom and the corridor are extremely small that if you are a large person don't even think about it. I had to struggle with the baby buggy every time we wanted to get in/out.
The room was clean and the furniture was new as the other BW hotels I stayed in.
Good location.

the bedroom and bathroom was way too small. The online pictures actually showed much a much larger room. The bathroom was soo small that a larger person than my wife and me would have not fit into it. Additionally, the hallway to the room had no ramps and several steps and it was so small that no wheelchair would have ever fit (so small in fact, that no 2 people could have passed each other). I don't know how a building permit could have been issued for this. I did not have the experience of other people and believe that the hotel was upgraded (and in fact still is in another wing).
Otherwise, the hotel and particularly the staff was very nice.

Note though that (probably like all London hotels) this hotel has a contract with a cab company. you can find cheaper transportation on the street.

On arrival at this hotel, all looked fine,I had to wait half an hour while some other guests were complaining then it was my turn. They checked me in took my money then informed me i would not be spending the night there as they had had to close some of the rooms. My self and another gentleman were then informed we would be spending the night in another hotel 5 mins away of the same quality 4 stars. I had paid extra for a delux room which was clearly marked on my reciept and was informed by the receptionist that i would get a room of the same standard at this new hotel. A mini bus taxi took us to this other hotel which was 30 mins away not 5 and on arrival i could not believe my eyes. firstly the hotel was a 3 star not a four star as promised, and it was more like a 2 star, it was having work done in the reception so half of it was closed, the man behind the desk could not of been more helpful but he informed me they only had standard rooms and he knew from the other guests who had been transfered i would not be happy. After visiting one of there rooms i knew it would be impossible to stay at this hotel, it was terrible and not close to the 4 star as promised and paid for. It took me 2 hours to get any responce from the Hyde Park Priemer Hotel to which they were prepaired, Firstly they offered 20 compensation then they after some arguments refunded my 119 which left me in a place in london i didnt know and with out a hotel. i did sort my self out in the end and stayed at a 4 star round the corner but this one night cost me over 400 and even though they say they have refunded me the money it still does not show in my bank account.
Very much a get what you pay for experience but not a bad hotel in any stretch of the imagination. The staff were courteous and dealt with anything I asked for promptly. Breakfast was good and the dining room is very pleasant. The room was tiny but very clean and had everything you need, from a quality TV to good shower and free broadband! Much more than adequate for one person on a business trip. The location is good being 5 minutes from tube station. For a quick business trip where you spend more time out of your hotel than in it - I would recommend it.

The staff were very friendly and very helpful. The room was small but clean and served its purpose, the shower was nice and hot, and the TV was great. The only slight ciritisism is that the room was too hot, we kept the windows open all night, they had supllied fans so it must have been a bit of a problem for previous occupants. We had a good deal through laterooms and i would be quite happy to book again and stay here.

We arrived at the hotel only to be informed that due to Lift engineering we were being moved to a hotel in Kensington. We had no details as to the standard of this hotel or where it was,it was nowhere near where we needed to be in London and therefore a substandard equivalent, There was no reason why we could not have been informed of this prior to us arriving at the hotel and was extremely unsatisfactory. We specifically needed this hotel due to its proximity to Hyde Park for the MoonWalk as we had to be available overnight for voluntary shift work. We did not accept this offer and had to make other arrangements - very poor service and will not be recommending this hotel at all.

After quite some time a lady on the reception came to see if another lady waiting was okay, and if she needed anything whilst ignoring me. I was sat there with my bags and coat on, clearly waiting for something. After some time I went to the reception and asked if I could check in - the lady was very embarrassed and said that she hadn't realised I was waiting, she then checked me in straight away. Whilst checking in a man approahed reception, very angry about the smallness of his room, this didn't leave me feeling very hopeful about what my room would be like!

This hotel offers excellent service, is very clean and well equipped and is highly recommended for all of these. We had booked a double and single room. The double room was in the basement, extremely poky, cramped and very dark and the window would not close properly allowing a cold breeze to enter all night. I would advise potential customers not to accept a room with a number commencing with the number 8 - ours was 806. Our second room, a single on the second floor was by contrast a bright, sunny room but once again far too small, you have to climb over the bed to get to the window and the space beyond it. Overall if you are staying more than a couple of nights, claustrophobic, have a lot of luggage or a cat to swing this is not for you. A pity given the otherwise excellent features

On arrival the hotel looked clean and inviting and very airey. However on being given the basement room with no airconditioning and no opening window or fan we just had to request a move. though unwilling at first the staff moved us upto level 2. The room had a bed that you can not walk around due to the room being tiny. The dressing table was at the end of the bed and you had to sit on the bed to use the unit/mirror. The shower was so small I was unable to bend to wash properly in it and had to use it with the doors open to raise my hands to wash my hair and still kept banging into the sides with my elbows. The was no room to set down a case in the room and we had 2! We spent the minimal time that we had in the room bumping into one another and moving out of eachothers way, it was dreadful. The lift was so small that we only just managed to fit us with our small cases in it and the corridors were dark and narrow, carpets worn and looked grubby, but the rooms did seem to be of a higher standard with most things clean tidy and in ok condition. Not all rooms were small and I feel that as we booked with LR and not direct we were given the smallest unsaleable rooms in the hotel with the airconditioning units switched off, another customer in the hotel told me his airconditioning was working fine, but the staff told me that the hotel did not have it, when it clearly did with the control units on the wall as you walk in to room, but turned off, but not for myself having booked a what was probably a cheaper rate through LR. On the plus side the bed was comfortable and the window opened onto main street which was quiet. Breakfast was 15 per head which we did not order and found it 100 yards away in a cafe where a full english with toast and tea was about 75% cheaper and very nice indeed. The local pub up the road by Paddington station had good food at reasonable prices too. The hotel was a 5 minute walk from the tube station which was a circle line and handy for cheap travel around London. We loved the location but not the hotel or the staff and would not visit this hotel again but would stay in the area with a different hotel, even if we had to pay more than the 233 for the 3 nights as the room and bathroom were totally off putting as were the staff who made us feel like we didnt deserve the full treatment as we booked online at late rooms giving us a cheaper rate and the worst 2 rooms in the hotel.

I have to say I was very disappointed with this hotel. We were accommodated in a basement, with limited light. Also, there was no warm water in the shower (the thermoregulation did not work). This was not dealt with, despite our complaint. I was also surprised that full payment is requested upon arrival, without the possibility to inspect the room first. I will definitely not stay in this hotel again and try to find a different hotel in the area

The staff was very polite but their idea of airconditioning is definitely not mine. A fan or a air purifier is not air conditioning. It was unusually hot in London at this time and we had to move rooms and downgrade in order to get a window that would open to let in a little bit of a breeze. Also we booked what we believe was a double with 2 beds and could only get one with a single double bed.

The major problem with this room was the airconditioning - it was inadequate, the room was far too warm, I could hardly sleep with the heat. Apart from this, it was a nice hotel, close to Paddington station which was handy and the staff were very friendly. I was pleasantly surprised by the hotel; the location was within easy walking distance from Lancaster Gate tube station and very easy to find, the staff were pleasant, the room was lovely....smaller than many but easily manageable for a short break. The rooms were refurbished to a high standard, spotlessly clean and complementary tea, coffee toiletries bathrobes and slippers were provided. The fresh fruit on arrival was a lovely touch. I will agree with previous visitors that the room was very warm and the 'desk top' fan provided did not really do much to cool it down. Windows do open though, and as we were at the back of the hotel, there was no disturbance from traffic noise with the window open. We didn't eat breakfast in the hotel as it seemed a little expensive. There are cafe bars just on the next block for full English, and stores where you may purchase food and drink which can be stored in the fridge in the room. The hotel is located right on the edge of Kensington Gardens and the Portobello Market (well worth a visit, but allow several hours!) and shops of Notting Hill are in walking distance. Very enjoyable stay and I would definitely go to this hotel again.

Do yourself a favour and DO NOT stay...
Do yourself a favour and DO NOT stay in this hotel EVER. It is one of the worst places I have ever had the misfortune to stay in.
Do not let the facade fool you either. The only money spent on this place is on the paint on the exterior walls and some bushes on the terrace out front. Once past the reception you enter the real horror of this place with it's tiny corridors and dirty carpets.
The damp and unsanitary smell throughout the corridors was met with an even worse smell on entering the bedroom. The rooms are appalling with walls so damp the wallpaper is either cut away (and not replaced) or hanging off the wall to give some what of a very depressing patchwork effect. On complaining to the reception I was shown another room in exactly the same condition, however, the bed clothes in this room were actually ripped on the bed.
Cleverly the hotel had asked me to pay up front when I arrived before I saw my room (alarm bells should have gone off in my head at this stage) so I was not in a position to walk out. When I explained how disappointed I was and that the hotel had really conned us by the photos used on the website I was simply told by an extremely rude attendant 'That's the room you booked and that's all we have'. There was no attempt to help make things better or to offer us our money back to go elsewhere.
I had to endure 2 nights in this hotel and the only thing that made it bearable was drinking wine and hopefully coming back in somewhat of a haze to fall straight asleep. I slept on top of the bed both nights as I couldn't bare to get under the covers. I could not bear to be in this hotel for any time at all.
I have seen some good reviews for this hotel and I can only believe they were written by the owners or friends of the owners as there is nothing positive about this faulty tower. My advice is look elsewhere there are plenty of hotels in the area.

The other thing which I was unaware of is that they do not in fact have a restaurant for dinner only breakfast. This means you have to go out of the hotel for food and I believe drink the rooms do offer you tea and coffee making and a small packet of fruit together with bottled water. The cupboard door housing the fridge stuck out as the fridge was too big for the space. It looked shoddy and it didn't help in a tiny room. The main problem though was the heat which was unbearable. There was an air-conditioning unit in the room next to the window with an industrial-sized flexi-pipe sticking out of the window. I couldn't work out how to switch it on. Eventually, I had to get it working as the heat would not let me sleep. I got used to the noise from the unit by about 5.00am. In the height of summer, this room would be a nightmare.

I knew I was in trouble the moment they handed over a key attached to a piece of 2 x 4! I had forgotten hotel doors once had to be opened using this method - only trouble was that the only way to stop someone walking in your room late at night was to lock it from the inside - just as well there was no fire?! The room itself was poor at best - a refurbishment was at least 10 years overdue. It overlooked what can only be described as a butlins building site - the patio set that sat above mountains of rubble was an embarrassing attempt at creating a garden. Once I had the misfortune of showering, I had to dry myself in the bedroom as the "bathroom" was not big enough for me to outstretch my arms! The broken toilet seat simply added to the uncomfortable nature of the situation. On the plus side - good location, bed was fine and the fruit was wrapped in cling film. I was left with the overwhelming impression that we were in the cheap run down section of the hotel because of the rate we had paid for the room. If I had paid the full price as stated on the site then I would have walked out within 2 mintues of arriving. Not impressed.

For a 4 Star hotel, it had a great deal lacking. Firstly, and this is in the middle of summer, the air-conditioning didn't work at all and the fans supplied where inadequate. They have installed large plasma TV's and these act as heaters as they put out a lot of heat during use. Secondly, the water preasure and temperature of the the shower were non existent, so it was imposible to have a shower. Lastly, the refrigerator in the room didn't work so drinks and perishable items were impossible to keep. Complaints to the hotel fell on deaf ears. We asked for some ice to keep our drinks cold and all they could come up with was a dessert bowl full. We wouldn't stay with them again for all the money in the world.

I was checked in a room on the 3rd floor, only to find out that I was unable to use the lift as someone was stuck in it. Not a good start!
My room was very small, there was too much furniture crammed in to be able to use. There was a dressing table wedged against the bed so I could not get round to that side of the bed by the window without climbing over the bed. The air conditioning was broken, but fans were provided in some rooms. Hair dryers seems to be in very short demand so I would suggest if you really need one - take your own!

I booked an executive room as the hotel website clearly stated that the standard rooms were of a low quality. When I checked in, I was told due to a "flush" problem there were no executive rooms available and I was given a standard room. This was the size of a cupboard, smelled damp, desparatedly needed reburbishing and the toilet flush was very unreliable. There was at least 1 other very disatisfied customer to my knowledge in a similar position. At 8 pm I was not in a position to find an alternative. I was given a free breakfast which was adequate but unexciting and little consolation. My suspicion was that this is how they let unused standard rooms by offering executive rooms which are in reality not available

We arrived early at the hotel (around 10.30am), so we did not expect our room to be available at that time, but we wished to check in and leave our bags so that we could go out and return later when the room would be ready. However, on enquiring at reception we were told that they had no record of our booking, even though the booking had been made 18 hours earlier on LateRooms.com. Although we produced the LateRooms reference number, etc., the reception staff seemed to have difficulty accepting that we had a legitimate booking, and were unwilling or unable to check us in until they had verified the booking and had received the booking details into their reservations system. We were not told what the issue was at the time, and were left waiting with our bags in the breakfast room for half an hour, for no good reason.
This hotel is marked as 4 star on the LateRooms website, but it fell far short of normal expectation for a four star hotel. Our room was tiny - excluding the narrow entranceway and tiny bathroom, it was approximately 10' by 9'. The space between the end of the bed and the desk was at most 6 inches! -- to get from one side of the room to the other you had to climb over the bed or shuffle sideways through the narrow gap around the end of it. The hotel had only a single tiny lift, which shook and rattled alarmingly when moving, and barely had room for two people, without luggage.
Since we must have been one of the first to check in that day, it seems impossible to believe that the extremely cramped room we were given was the best available at that time. It appears that the most likely explanation is that hotel is explicitly operating a policy of assigning its worst rooms to those who have booked at discounted rates. If this is the case, it seriously undermines the value proposition of booking accommodation through a site such as Laterooms.com
Described as a 4-star this is, based on my experience, no better than 2-star. The "executive double" room was small, and tired - nothing like the website picture. Free broadband (ask for the password!) was nice but overall the gap between promise and reality was too great. No hairdryer, tiny shower-room, worn fittings, no drawers at all, no 'electronic door lock', no 'flat screen TV', etc. It was clean enough and the location is good but even at these prices you can do better.

To sugget this hotel is worthy of four stars is a joke. It was atrocious. Noisey and cramped with appliances that didn't work, the hotel was extremely basic and the staff were unbelievably rude and condescending. The shower was tiny and dingy and the fan in the 'bathroom' was freezing and impossible to shut off so long as you want light to see by. Even the bedside lights were annoying; super bright with no shades, designed to dazzle (and not in a good way) anyone not so intrepid as to feel their way to bed by touch and good judgement (the latter of which I must clearly have been lacking in booking this hotel in the first place).

On the day of my stay, I arrived quite late to be told that there is no resturant and no Bar, these facilities are actually in a seperate hotel around the corner 500yards away, The lift was out of action so I had to climb the stairs, (Bags were taken up by staff) The room was indeed recently re-furbished and spotlesly clean, It was however the smallest room I have ever stayed in. The easiest way to get around the other side of the bed was to climb over it. Despite being below freezing outside I could have grown tomatoes in my room and I was told that the air conditioning did not work. I have to agree for the amount I paid for the room you are not going to get the presedential suite but there are limits. The only + was that the room was very clean and obviously brand new. Also I made the mistake of askeing them to get me a cab, They arranged a private hire firm and not a black cab. The Staff that I interfaced with were all polite and friendly. My main gripe was the lack of facilities that are actually advertised on some sites and that it carries a 4* rating.
