Not very impressed with this hotel , safe didn't work in room , tv didnt work ! so i called reception to ask to get moved to which i was told to wait until the following day as they had no spare rooms , so i went down to reception to say either they move me or i would like a refund an id go to a different hotel as i just had a long drive an just wanted to relax an watch some tv, so they moved us to a different room which was good of them , but this room was right next to what must of been some kind of staff room ! very very noisy no respect for guests, the room wasn't clean , there was also a naked electrical wire on show in one of the cubords totally shocking !!! the only thing id recommend about this hotel is the location for hyde park i would defiantly not stay here again!

Booking a 4 star hotel leaves expectations. This hotel does not qualify as a 4 star hotel. The room is very very small and upon request there was no twin bed available. They didn't make any effort to try to arrange it upon arrival. We had great expectations, but were very disappointed!

On booking the hotel, I was very pleased with what appeared to be a hotel of excellent value as the room price had apparently been discounted to £75 from £350 for one night at 4 star accommodation. Although this hotel was quite a distance from our destination for the evening, I believed that this was worth it.However, upon arrival, we were told that there were problems and that our rooms were unavailable. Although the hotel provided transport to the alternative accommodation which we were told was also 4 Star, the new hotel was no where near the apparent standard of the Hyde Park Premier.Overall, very dissappointing and slightly suspicious. I probably would not book here again.

Don't be fooled by the 4* rating that the hotel claims as it is certainly not a 4* hotel. The room was very small, with a small double bed and barely enough room to walk around. Shower had so little water pressure I gave up trying to use it. The late rooms website claimed I had saved £330 on the room rate, so I asked at the hotel what their usual room rate was and I was quoted £65.00, exactly what I had paid. There are no parking facilities available the nearest was at Paddington station, a good 5 - 10 minutes walk. Its cheaper than a travel inn but has less facilitie and the price paid (£65) reflects this.

My best friend and I decided to have a day in London and an overnight stay - a little celebration before we both get married this summer! Liked the look of this hotel on 'Late Rooms', and so booked the 'Deluxe Double' for £75 (split between the two of us, so a BARGAIN!) - THEN, after booking, I read some of the reviews for the hotel and began to panic as many of the reviews were quite negative. BUT we went ahead with our booking anyway. Arrived at the hotel around 2.30 on the Thursday afternoon.. were allocated room 018. Room was a good size! And nicely decorated. We had a double bed AND a single bed in the room, bathroom was small, but functional and again, nicely decorated.. Room equipped with tea/coffee making facilities etc... Bed was SO comfortable! And room was lovely and quiet - overlooking a small garden area. It was perfect! Couldn't fault it in anyway! I cannot comment on other rooms, but this one certainly suited us just FINE! Would definitely book again.

I arrived at 10pm and the room I was allocated was ridiculously hot (40degC+ easily) and had not been cleaned - the bed had not been made and there was rubbish in the room from previous guest. I was told I would have to return to the lobby to wait whilst the room was cleaned. I wasn't too pleased with this and asked if there was another room I could have instead. I was informed not. However, after 2 minutes I was given a new room which was an upgrade. I was happy with this room as it was clean at least. Staff weren't particularly bothered about what happended so I was disappointed and won't go there again.

The hotel was conveniently located about a 5 minute walk from paddington underground station. It is presented well and very clean. The staff were pleasant but I would say that a little more customer interaction wouldn't have gone amiss! The room itself was decorated well and finished to a good standard. My only criticism would be that the room was extremely small-amenities such as an ironing board were provided but I honestly don't know how I would have put it up! All in all though, no real complaints!

I was diverted from the hotel that I booked to a nearby hotel that was just dreadful - the Royal Eagle. The foyer was a building site, the reception staff were rude and the hotel room was freezing cold due to poorly fitting windows - stuffing gaps with toilet tissue is useless. London is the rip-off accommodation capital of the world.

Was given room 409 which looked fine on first appraisal, however the shower was no more than a slow leak at best. I complained and was shown a further 2 rooms, both of which had similar problems. I told the member of staff that I wasn't happy with these rooms either and that there must be a problem with the water supply. I was then informed that it was because the hotel was full! Presumably this explains why he managed to show me 2 empty rooms!??! My colleague also had the same problem with running a bath. Basically if you don't mind showering under a drip or waiting an hour and a half for a bath, then this is the hotel for you!

The price we paid for the room was hugely discounted as the hotel had not long re-opened and a lot of the reviews weren't that great. We therefore found the room great value for money at the discounted rate, however wouldn't say that if we had paid full price. We managed to park for £15 a day an NCP car park nearby, which was about a 5-10 minute walk away. The tube stations were also very close, approx 5 mins walk away. If the prices remain the same for next year, I would definitely return, 1 for location (very close to Hyde Park) and 2 for cleanliness

Very quiet hotel, with a nice surrounding area, and very close to Paddington tube station. Very nice, clean room, although there was an unpleasant smell coming from the bathroom at times.....nothing to do with my boyfriend- it must have been the drains! Staff were pleasant although they didn't mention anything about breakfast or what time we had to check out. Overall, a good stay though.

The recent renovations are certainly nice, but need to be completed. For instance, the decor (especially in the bathroom) was top notch, but the windows were in such a bad state they leaked in light rain. And while the bathroom looked nice, the drip of a showerwas really awful (in room 408, top floor... try to avoid the top floor!!).Free internet in the rooms is a fantastic touch. The bed was comfortable, and the a/c worked fine. If it hadn't been for a) the shower; b) the incredibly noisy, arrogant, aggressive jerks who were our neighbours (not the hotel's fault), the stay would've been great.Oh, and £15 for breakfast is way too expensive. I just went to the cafes and the shops down the street.

Very disappointed with the whole experience. The pictures shown on Late Room are not actually of the rooms you will stay in. We were taken from one building to another (which had a Best Western sign outside it) and then told the room we were staying in was across the road in yet another building. The room was tiny, hot and noisy. When I complained on checkout, all I got was "sorry". Thats not very good customer service. If you stay here make sure you understand which building you are in.

There was construction happening most mornings.one morning an extremely rude guest woke us up shouting about said construction and when confronted by my partner to keep it down she insulted him too,the hotel did not comment on this matter further with us even though one was present at the time. The rooms are very small and the bathroom we had, had very low pressure in the taps.As a lift was being installed at the time,we had to walk four flights of narrow stairs each day. On our first night we got transfered to a 5 star hotel for the night due to maintenance problems at the Hyde Park Premeire, that was great, the hotel we stayed in was lovely. The cleaners in the Hyde Park hotel were good and it was easy to get to and from the hotel, like most places in london.Overall i think the hotel needs to vastly improve, espcially customer relations and general manners.

Service at reception was polit and informative but you just get the impression that they know yo won't be coming back....

The hotel is ideally place if arriving via Paddington station as its a 5-minute walk. There was a porter at the reception when we booked in as the lift was 'out of order', which is just as well as we were on the third floor. The room itself was very nice and clean. However, the fridge was very warm and not usable for storing drinks. The A/C said it was set to 18 but it was much warmer in the room and we had to open the window to get some cool air. Otherwise, a very nice stay. I would stay again providing the lift, fridge and A/C are working properly.

Having driven 550 miles all I wanted was the room I had booked and some much needed rest. I was told on arrival that there were no rooms at this hotel, and that they were having to put me in a "sister" hotel "2 minutes walk away". I reluctantly agreed to this only to find that this hotel was also short of rooms and was allocated an attic room (up some uncarpeted stairs) which contained twin beds and little else. Unacceptable, I told Reception I was returning to Hyde Park Premier, where surprisingly they had a room available after all. The staff seemed very reluctant to allocate this room, I presume because I was only paying the LateRooms price. On receipt of my room key I then had to climb 4 floors as there is works going on to replace (??) the lift. The room itself was pleasant enough and had obviously been refitted recently. The shower, however, lacked any pressure whatsoever and let an otherwise nice room down. Won't be staying here again!!
