Super "Secret Room" Deal !!!

Booked through the secret room deal with late rooms and couldn't believe our luck with the central location of the hotel. Getting there via tube from Euston was easy and our 8 yr old son loved getting to grips with the Tube system (we really didn't need to do any sight-seeing we could have just travelled from one line to another all day!!!)
Check in was a relatively simple affair although there seemed to be some mix up with the receptionist saying we had only booked the room for 2 adults (I hadn't and had my late rooms booking to confirm this) but there was no problem and she was very obliging about room choice etc. Breakfast although nice is expensive £25 per head with a 50% discount for children up to 12 but hey, that's London !!
The beds are fantastically comfy even our son's put -up was great. Overall it was a great, convenient ,quality hotel at a very reasonable price and when we return I'll definitely look for the same secret room description again and hope it's still there.

Great location with top customer service

The hotel was well placed for an overnight shopping stay in London. The club floor is most definately worth the extra to upgrade, but beware that the cost they quote at check in does not include VAT.
The happy hour (well, happy two hours really, as it's from 5.30 - 7.30pm) was great - all drinks (beer, wine and cocktails) and canapes all at no charge. That said, drinks at anytime such as coffee, teas, water, beer, & coke are at no charge at all if taken in the club room.
The staff could just not do enough for you - they were all outstanding.

Weekend break at the Hyatt Regency, the Churchill.

Simply excellent. We booked via the secret rooms link, and selected central London. What a result ! A fantastic hotel, just around the corner from Regent St. Excellent customer service from the staff on the front desk. The hotel has recently undergone refurbishment and this was apparent in the great quality and cleanliness of the room. This is simply a great quality hotel. I recommend this hotel, and hope to stay there again for our next trip to London. The only possible improvement would be the attention of the waiter at breakfast, who failed to clear used plates and bowls away quickly. Otherwise excellent.

Fantastic location, great service!

A wonderful place to stay - I wouldn't want to be anywhere else! Service was second-to-none, from the porters to the waiters, waitresses and hotel staff. Nothing was too much trouble. Accommodated well for 8 year old too! Thanks for a fabulous stay! I have recommended it to family and friends - my sister is there now!

Generaly Very Good

Helpfull friendly staff, good customer services, lovely room , well equiped. Perfect location for London city visit enjoyed our stay. We didnt sample the food. Only downside was cost of breakfast at £27 a head for full breakfast, Im afraid is ridiculous. Mini bar prices were double that of friends staying nearby . £ 4 for a bottled water or can of coke !!

Fantasic location, staff were great. Hotel spotless as expected from this standard hotel.

My wife and i stayed in this hotel for our anniversay. We both found it to be in a great location. The room was a great size with great views. All staff were very proffessional at all times. When the receptionist asked what was our stay for and was told it was our anniversary she had red and white wine sent to our room complimentary. Nice touch..... Would reccommend this hotel and will definately be staying again.

No problem from me

After i booked via secret rooms, some of the reviews gave me some concern. i heard that they wernt very friendly to "locals" and it wasnt much of a 5 star hotel. Well both above comments are rubbish, This is a fantastic hotel, well placed just off Oxford Street. Receptionist was lovely (Monika) the room was of a good standard. Being given a cake and some bubbly for a special occasion really topped it off. Afternoon tea was very expensive but very nice. All in all, a typical (very good) 5 star hotel. would stay again without doubt.

Hyatt Regency - The Churchill. An excellent hotel with polite & helpful staff.

I booked this hotel whilst browsing for another holiday. The hotel was one of the best I've recently stayed in. Upon arriving at the reception all the hotel staff were very polite and helpful. Our room (5th floor) was large & immaculate inside. There was no spa/pool at the hotel although there was a Virgin gym nearby which we used.
My only criticism was the price of the overnight parking (£30), although i used the meter controlled zones which expired at 1830 on the Saturday and therefore only cost £14.

Comfort and service to be proud of

Took a long time to find because we relied on a map down loaded from Hyatt web site. However room and service was as good as, if not better than, we had hoped. We thought that breakfast at £27:00 each was a bit pricey.

Elegant, tasteful, and nothing was too much trouble!

This was a great hotel, central to everything we wanted to do and see. Room service was excellent and plentiful, the restaurant was a treat with food prepared perfectly, but the rooms were the best part. Great linens, comfortable beds, fully stocked and imaginative bar in the room, and everything was at hand! First class and top quality all the way. Nothing was too much trouble! The staff were very professional and cheerful. A bargain by any standard for what you get.

Beautiful

There were a number of negative reviews about this hotel but our experience was nothing but positive. We checked in to a room with a kingsize bed on the 7th floor. The room was small but attention to detail was excellent. The bed was extremely comfortable and the aircon was easily controlled even though it is winter. It was a fabulous stay and the staff were amazing.

Great location and nice enough hotel. Not sure it should be a 5 star though

Having stayed in a number of 5 star hotels across London, I was a little disappointed with the Hyatt which definitely felt more like a 4 star hotel. The lobby and reception looked promising but our room was distinctly average and lacked the usual excellence of a 5 star. The decor was dull, the bedding was not especially good quality and I was surprised that there wasn't any complimentary bottled water in the room. Also there was no turn down service and you had to pay extra for the wireless internet. Maybe I'm just spoilt from having visited some truly great hotels but I really wouldn't choose to stay here again since I know you can get much better rooms at the same price or lower in a nearby area.

Beautiful Hotel, Fab Location, Excellent Value & Superb staff - Will be back!

We booked the night before our stay under a secret rooms deal - Wow, we were not disappointed!! Arrived and parking was FOC for 24 hrs, which is a big perk in London. Upon check in because it was my hubbys birthday they upgraded us to the 9th floor a Club Deluxe Suite, which was really lovely. This also entitled us to access the Club Lounge, with complimentry continetal brekkie. Also we recieved complimentry birthday cake, champagne & fruit. We felt totally spoilt by the staff here, they really made our w/end special.
The location is fantastic for exploring London with many places within walking distance. Although we did not try the main restaurant it looked busy and felt like it had a good atmosphere.
I was really pleased with the deal, how the staff treated us and the luxurious quality of this hotel...I could not have planned it better if I had booked months in advance, let alone a few hours before!!

Myself, my wife and 8 month old arrived at the hotel around 1330 hoping to check-in and leave our bags. We did not expect to get our room at that time, and we didn't. Very pleasant receptionist checked us in and said they were going to give us a slightly larger room so they could fit the crib we had requested in, but that it was not yet ready however the cib and our bags would be in the room on our return. Check-in time is stated as 1400 and we returned at 1530, however the room was still not ready and they opted to put us in a different room again. The crib was not ready and our bags were not there, the room was good for two people but not suitable for a crib and crawling baby. The king size bed was very comfortable however I can sleep in a standard just fine and the extra room would be good. We only had two small bags and a buggy and there was very little space. Only one small bin in the room which was filled with one nappy change. As a result of the room change the newspaper booked did not appear and the price did not include breakfast. I guess the price of 139 GBP is for the location.

Our short break in London

We were really pleased when we entered the Churchill Hotel, we received a warm welcome from the staff and the hotel looked very nice. Our room was very well decorated and spotless but we felt it was rather small (and that was before they added our 4 year olds single bed to the room!!!) with the addition of a single bed there really wasnt any room to move and our stay was spoilt because of this. It would have been nice if one of the staff had taken a while to think about space when putting us in the room-after all it was a 5 star hotel!. I dont think the hotel did anything special for children but on the whole was a nice break however I dont think I'll return with my daughter-nice hotel to stay in with friends though.

Great overall stay.

We booked this hotel as a nice treat to my girlfriend after having a below average hoilday in Egypt this summer. We arrived at the hotel and the check in staff were polite yet there always seemed to be a language barrier, I have a clear middle class kentish accent and can be clearly understood by all backgrounds, But i had to repeat slowly and her english needed alot of work for this kind of proffession. The woman checking us in was rude at times half way through explaining something she answered the phone, There were other checkin staff checking other people in and they were undisturbed, We both felt like we were being looked down at as lower working class that didnt belong there. apart from that everything was fantastic, concierge was extremely helpfull with great knowlage of the city. the room was very clean and with suited decor. Checking out was quick and easy, This hotel is easily a4star hotel with good staff except the person that checked us in.

Disappointing

We booked this hotel, specifically choosing a five star, expecting a quality service. Sadly we've had better service in a budget hotel than this so called luxury hotel. On arrival we were made to feel uncomfortable and interrogated on our nationality and movements (we are white british). Although our booking confirmation clearly showed the booking included our 9 year old daughter, the room had not been prepared and our daughter had no bed/towels/cups etc. We were advised that this would be rectified, however our room was still without the additional bed/towels etc. when we returned later in the evening and it took a complaint to the duty manager to eventually rectify the situation. The next morning not even an apology.
