Tiny room

I shared a twin bedded room with my 20-something daughter, and the room was so small that one of us had to lie on the bed to give the other room to move around. Breakfast consisted of cereal, bread/toast and jam plus orange juice and tea/coffee. This was definitely not worth the £210 paid for 2 nights.

This hotel was fine, the staff were professional.
There were building works going on when I stayed so it was a little disruptive but a staff member came to my room and told me about this, which was kind of him.
We were put in a room next to the breakfast hall so I was awoken very early by all the other guests making noise.
I would have liked to have been in a different room.

Rubbish single room

Single rooms are always the worst rooms in the hotel but this was particularly bad. They had made the room by cutting a landing in two, the bed was surrounded by a wall on three sides, I have been in a bed that was too short for me before but the whole room was too short. the room above had been fitted with cheap laminate floor and the noise was terrible, the room was freezing cold with a radiator cover and cabinet blocking what heat was coming out of the radiator. staying there for four nights was a grim experience. Do not book a single room in this hotel

Disappointed with the room size & Breakfast

For a central London hotel the Hutton Hotel was reasonably priced at £55 per night. I was diappointed with the crtamped size of the room and the compact shower room which was a self-contained box added to room in last 10 years to give the room ensuite status. I was very disappointed with the quality of the breakfast. Over diluted orange juice and supermarket bargain wholemeal and white slice bread for toast. Poor selection for continental breakfast only saved by the fresh ground coffee.
I will be looking for an alternative hotel for next time I need to stay in London.

Overnight at Huttons Hotel

We arrived before 12 noon and left our case in left luggage. Our room was small and in the basement. The shower cubicle was literally a curtain off the bedroom; the wc was separate. The CH came on at about 8 pm and was very warm and we couldn't turn it down. The tv was excellent, bed comfortable, a bit noisy in the early hours, and breakfast was basically tinned fruit salad, fruit juice, cereal, toast with cheese slices/jam and tea/coffee of "economy" quality but you could eat as much as you wanted. The hotel was located between either Victoria or Pimlico tube stations and we walked to Harrods from the hotel the next morning. So for £50 for the double room with Cont Breakfast we had a fairly convenient position and a reasonable night's sleep in a pretty comfortable bed. The bottom line is "you get what you pay for" and we felt we had a stay commensurate with the cost

Huttons hotel review

I realised that this hotel is at the lower budget end of the range and from reading the reviews my expectations were not high. The hotel is well located within a 10-15 min walk of Victoria station. The room was basic but clean and acceptable. The bathroom was very small and similar to cross channel ferries but at least everything worked. The continental breakfast was pretty much
tea/coffee and toast but at least the filter coffee was good. Overall just about OK for the money but do not expect any luxury .

Basic but good

Huttons is a family run hotel and as such gives value for money in London. My Mum and I came down for the Royal Garden Party (it rained!) and stayed for 2 nights. Mum's remote was missing and my kettle didn't work but those were quickly dealt with. The single rooms are quite small - comparable to a ship's cabin accomodation is the nearest I can get and the beds are on the harder side of soft. Breakfast is either cooked (£4) or continental (included). The coffee is very good. In all

Staff wonderful, room clean, but room too small for 2 twin beds. Bathroom was a joke!

Bathroom the size of an airplane with a shower which makes for no room to turn around in it at all. TV in original room was made in the 1950's and did not work, but was able to move to an even smaller room with a great TV.

The Reception staff at the hotel were pleasant and efficient. The room was basic with an en suite bathroom about the size of one on an overnight cross channel ferry, but it was functional and private - better than most accommodation for a similar price seemed to offer. The bed was comfortable. I really appreciated the tea/coffee making facilities and there was a generous amount of tea/coffee/milk left in the room. The breakfast room could have been better signposted - I only found it because of the noise coing from behind a white painted door that looked an unlikely entrance to a breakfast room. The room was noisy but functional with juice, tea/coffee, cereal and white or brown bread with toasters and butter/jam available.

Fantastic place to lay your head

We used the Hutton Hotel for two nights the day before and day of the Royal wedding, We managed to get it for 2 nights for £190 an absolute steal being so close to Westminster. Easy check in that took seconds, we had requested ground or first floor over looking the road but instead got second floor with balcony over looking road which was fab as it was a nice sunny weekend! Breakfast was basic, cereal, toast! The only issue i would have is that the bed was bloody awful - i didnt sleep a wink the first night but was so exhausted on the day of the wedding i slept for England - but woke up aching, the bed was dreadful but otherwise great hotel if you are on a budget. Would defo stay again!

Good Value and Location

Mother and daughter stayed two nights in twin room; lovely clean accommodation. Room was small but quite adequate, at the back of the hotel so nice and quiet, though I think the street was reasonably quiet anyway so the front would probably have been the same. En-suite cubicle was rather small, being a larger lady taking a shower was amusing to say the least, but it did its job and it wouldn't put me off staying there again. Again it was clean and the towels changed daily. The only downside for me was that breakfast starts at 7.30 and there was no earlier option; we had to leave by 7.30 on both mornings so didn't actually get to eat breakfast there. A gentle stroll from Victoria Coach or Rail Station, even closer to Pimlico Underground Station, and a bus stop right outside, ideally situated for easy access to all of London. We will certainly stay again.

The hotel was worth the money. Bathroom felt like you were in a train toilet, but every worked and was clean. The bed was on caster wheels which didn't fair well with a wonkey floor, but after a bit of rearranging we stopped that. The lift was very dodgy, definately recommned using the stairs!

Arrived and was checked in and to my room within 5 minutes. Room was larger than expected (double bed), was clean and recently refurbished. Tv, towels, tea making facilities all as standard unlike some. Shower was more than suitable, clean throughout. Would definitely recommend and stay again for a night. Have used many similar ones on same street and this has been the best so far. Thanks.

Our "double" room would have been of a reasonable size had it not had an additional single bed. The small fibre-glass cubical, containing a shower and toilet, installed in one corner of the room was functional if not pleasant. Breakfast was adequate. All in all, Huttons Hotel was pretty much what we expected, for the price. This hotel was fine, for one night but if I was staying for longer or had more freedom to choose the location then I would look elsewhere.

Small compact room. Fine if you are just wanting to sleep, but no room to do any work. My bed was creeky and uncomfortable, one of the bedside lamps was broken, the extractor fan didn't work and nor did the kettle. I did report these and all bar the kettle was sorted out.
Breakfast was very basic, tea, coffee, juice, toast - although a full english was also available and acceptable. Despite this, it is clean and of a reasonable standard and perfectly suited to young visitors wanting to see the sights.

One Night in London

The good bit first I thought I was getting a bit of a bargain a 3* hotel in the centre of London for £55.00 unfortunately I was left very let down. If this hotel seriously charges the £130.00 a night advertised - avoid it like the plague.
The shower was very powerful - so I'd give that the thumbs up, avoid it if you are of the larger variety as its cosy.
Bad points:
The room was simple enough, I wasn't expecting it to be amazing by any stretch, it was supposed to be a family room but bit much to have four beds in one room! The room had a smell of smoke / dirty feel to it. As a man I didn't really care too much as I though we're just here for the one night but it wasn't nice for my girlfriend.
We struck gold getting the room right next to the elevator so it was nice to hear that go up and down most of the night. Didn't complain to reception as there didn't seem to be much point the bloke on duty didn't seem to speak english just grunted every so often. Should have booked into a 1 or 2 star hotel instead as I doubt they could have been much worse.
I read quite a few reviews of this before hand so was expecting something a bit better than what we got, maybe we were unlucky with our room - but I doubt it... Suitable for people who want to go visit London, who require 1-2 hours sleep. Definately not suitable for couples of families.
