Location, perfect for getting off the train at St. Pancras at night. Excellent reception, access and room. Room very spacious, quiet, very comfortably furnished to a high specification as was bathroom etc. Breakfast was interesting. Not clear when to help yourself, and when being waited on. No fruit compote etc, cooked breakfast very small and not very hot. All in all, breakfast very chaotic, but friendly staff.

I would recommend the Hotel Megaro to anyone wanting a quality hotel with direct links to national rail services to the North of London and Underground links - all within 100 yards of the hotel entrance. The hotel is very clean and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The bedroom I stayed in was well presented and 'swish'....the Rainforest shower was a great feature and the free wifi internet access a bonus....free internet access was also possible through the TV. Rather than a kettle, this room had an expresso machine, which was great...once I cleaned up the flood from the first attempt! All round a quality hotel at a reasonable price.

We stayed here on the first night of our honeymoon in order to catch the first Eurostar leaving St. Pancras and therefore we were unable to enjoy the breakfast on offer. That said, the room was well equipped and spacious and the bed was comfortable. The staff weren't particularly talkative and the free wifi didn't work, but there was internet available on the TV for free. Would possibly stay here again.

I know a few colleagues (on expense accounts) who use this hotel, but as I pay for my own their normal rate is too expensive for my budget. However, it was by pure chance that I found this hotel offering a 'cheap' night when I needed a room at the last minute. I was glad I did check out this hotel as it's as good as my colleagues said. Pity I can't afford it most other nights.

All Megaro rooms I've stayed in have been very well equipped - although I still find the coffee machine difficult to operate! A simple kettle would be preferable. Otherwise there is usually plenty of storage space, heating/lighting/air are all easily adjusted, and the location for King's X, St Pancras and Bloomsbury is great. I'd stay here every time I'm in London if only the price could come down below 150.

I stay in lots of London hotels, I needed to be close to Kings Cross as I ws leaving at 5.30 - this hotel is literally across the road. For 120 I got a great room, clean, modern, well equipped and not too bad a size either. This is a small hotel of c45 bedrooms with a small feel. Blink and you'll miss it as you drive past it on the opposite of Euston Road to KX.<br />If I needed to leave at that time again - I use the hotel again.

I am not sure what the other reviewers have to complain about - I absolutely love this hotel. The staff are excellent. The rooms are cool, contemporary and very well appointed. Its a pleasure to stay in, and I've stayed here about 20 times. I am really disappointed when I can't get a room and I have to stay somewhere else. The breakfast is amazing and the omelets are the best. I have had a few problems with TV's and water etc, but 1 call to reception and they take care of it immediately. Which in a busy central London hotel is almost unheard of. Book here if you ever need to stay in London. Perfect location and great nights sleep.

Have stayed here before on business and it was an automatic choice when visiting London for a weekend. Excellent location (opposite Kings X/St Pancras) though entrance is easy to miss (look for Burger King/HSBC). Staff good as always, quiet room, internet access via tv always helpful, food excellent. A really safe bet and knocks the offer by chains in the area (at similar prices) and some cheap 'dives' into a cocked hat.

Modern/Trendy Hotel probably based on the Barcelona Model. I booked a single room which had a double bed and had reasonable space, flat screen TV, WiFi, and bathroom with all high standard of finishes. However the Hotel tries too hard with the gadgetry, the shower took a few minutes to figure out and the expresso machine was even more complex (a kettle would have been sufficient). The room, which overlooked a side street, was extremely quiet, which was surprising, bearing in mind the Hotel frontage is on Euston Road, and there was no noise from adjoining rooms, which suggests good soundproofing.

My daughter and I loved the hotel, mainly because of the staff who were most helpful and friendly, and the location was perfect as I was travelling out of Kings Cross and Maria out of St Pancras.<br />My only complaint is the design of the shower door, or rather lack of one! The rainforest shower head was great but unfortunately left the floor soaking wet with big puddles in the small area that was the bathroom. Think there has been an unfortunate design error. <br />Thinking about it the carpet could have done with a clean as well, it was looking slightly grubby in parts.<br />As mentioned, the staff were so helpful, allowing us to leave our cases there all day after checking out, and getting them out again and again for us whilst we decided what to do and where to go.<br />All in all a great experience and I would definitely stay there again.<br />P.S. The food looked and smelled great! We didn't eat as we'd had a hearty lunch at The Caprice.

Nice hotel situated just across the Street from St. Pancras and Kings Cross. Very convenient for the rail and Underground. Room was clean and tidy, good size for a standard double too. Excellent facilities including an expresso maker, iron and ironing board, and hairdryer in room. The TV/Computer combo wasn't the most user friendly bit of kit I'd ever used but once we'd figured out how to turn it on it was OK. <br />Staff were mostly friendly, (the girl on reception has clearly having a bad day the Saturday, she was a lot happier on Sunday!) they were also more than happy for us to leave our bags there all day Sunday after we had checked out - they used a tag system and bags were kept securely locked away in a side room. I thought this was very good, and incredible helpful too.<br />Food wasn't included in our room rate, so we diidn't eat at the hotel so can't pass comment on quality of the food - however the new St. Pancras is just across the street, so plenty of places to eat there for breakfast! <br />All in all very nice. Not the cheapest but I have paid a lot more to stay at places that weren't nearly as nice. Recommended.

One of the nicest rooms I've stayed in in London (and I've stayed in quite a few over the last few months) - just beautiful - well-designed and decorated, modern, quiet, well-equipped and, by London standards, spatious too (even the bathroom). Free wifi, designer toiletries, flatscreen TV with digital channels, lovely bed and bedding, espresso maker (that will make tea too), rainforest shower (lovely), etc. It really is as nice as the photos on the web site indicate. :-) <br />Not sure I'd want to pay the rack rate, and breakfast was extra and imho rather on the pricey side, so I ate out instead. But for what I paid for the room itself (85), I'd be really very happy to stay again. <br />The only other negative was that the lift wasn't working during my stay, and walking up to the 5th floor was hard going (although the stafff will carry your bags if you want them to).

A very fair room for the price paid. The coffee maker is a nice touch - but a kettle would have been more appreciated, as it was very difficult to make a decent cup of tea. The bathrooms was floored with thin wood laminate, which was not reacting well to water splashed on it (difficult to avoid given the high-power shower and no door) so there was a bit of warping going on. (This is a design problem - it didn't detract from the enjoyment of our stay.) Pleasant service at desk. Superbly convenient for Kings Cross & St Pancras.

We wanted somewhere close to St Pancras for a very early start on Eurostar. Didn't have high expectations , but as long as we found somewhere clean & convenient.....as it was only for one night that's all we wanted. What a spectacular surprise we had when we entered the Megaro. Very efficient yet friendly reception service. Up to the 6th floor to our superb room. Immaculate in it's clean, contemporary decor without being stark. Plenty of room , with what proved to be a very comfortable bed with crisp linen and SOFT pillows , for a change. The bathroom had both a deep bath and a very complicated looking shower( which I can't comment on as we didn't use it. For me the icing on the cake was the expresso coffee machine tucked away in the cupboard with the fridge. In the morning i could have a good cup of coffee to get me going then just across the road to an endless choice of places to eat at the terminal ....so there was no call for the hotel to be expected to supply breakfast before 7am. Our room had a view straight onto Kings Cross but we were not disturbed by noise from the Euston Road.<br /> In the evening we took our chances on eating in the hotel's restaurant, and again what a hidden treasure.. our meals were excellent . The waiting staff were knowledgeable and friendly, and the choice, qualty and presentation of the food were a great credit to the chef.... we loved everything we ate...and for what we had thought it was fairly priced.<br /> We will certainly go back, seeing the Megaro experience as an enhancement to our Eurostar trips not just a convenient stop over

The Megaro is pretty much unknown by cab...
The Megaro is pretty much unknown (by cab drivers at least) despite being well located directly opposite Kings Cross and St Parcras International. It has well appointed, spacious rooms and a nice, freindly staff. The bath and bed linnens are top quality, the in-room entertainment puts many more expensive hotels to shame and there is plenty of storage. There are 2 things the hotel could improve: the bed was far too soft and the way the shower is set up you have to get in before you can turn it on, meaning you stand the risk of being frozen or scalded if the temperature is not set right. Another issue that the hotel can't change is that Euston Road is a prime route for emergency vehicles with their sirens wailing!

In a handy location (a bit difficult to notice because of the narrow frontage). Good modern European decor and atmosphere are compensation for the smallness of the room. Comfortable bed, and the double glazing was appreciated as it made the room very quiet. Two things were not quite right - lift not working (though reception staff did offer assistance with luggage) and the fact that the shower, while fun to use, is likely to get the bathroom floor wet.

The pro's outweigh the cons for Hotel Megaro. It couldn't be much more convenient for Eurostar connections or tube access. My room was very up to date, clean, and included an espresso maker w/coffee and milk. The bathroom was clean, modern and with a shower/tub combo. The TV was a wall mounted flat screen of about 36"/90cm, I'd estimate, and had a good selection of high definition channels. Their restaurant looked good but I didn't get to try it. <br />The downside was that the lift was still not working, as mentioned by several other reviewers and it seems like this shouldn't be that difficult to repair in a city like London. Staff is available to help carry luggage, though, and it might be wise to accept help if your room is on the upper floors. The neighboorhood couldn't be described as charming but, for me at least, convenience trumps charm.<br />Another strange thing is that although the hotel really is directly in front of St Pancras/Kings Cross on Euston Rd it is not well signed. The entrance is in the middle of the block and it is easy to overlook. I first noticed the sign for Megaro Restaurant. <br />Overall, I'd recommend Hotel Megaro if the Eurostar is in your plans but probably not if you wouldn't already be in the Kings Cross neighborhood.<br />

One minor point - buy better irons. It took me about 30 mins to "iron" my shirt and I probably could have done a better job with the Yellow Pages. Non steam irons are good for nothing but toasting bread.<br />Would use again, much better than most of the hotels I've stayed in around the Kings Cross area

I stayed here on 2 occasions in December 2008 and was very pleased with the standard of the hotel. It's great for early Eurostar travel and is well connected for the tube (only a few stops to Covent Garden). I got a special rate on an executive room (150 GBP) and was very pleasantly surprised at the size of the room. You won't find bigger in London for the price. The bed is enormous, with lots of fluffy pillows and duvet, very comfortable indeed. One of the rooms I stayed in was a bit noisy as not double glazed, the other room however was not noisy at all (ask for a room at the rear of the hotel). The shower/bath is great, but I agree with others that it is difficult to understand how it works and as it isn't closed in, water splashed all over the place (no big deal really). Didn't understand the purpose of the minibar which was empty except for a small bottle of milk (I imagine for the coffee machine). I guess you could put your own things in it.. All in all, if you book with a special rate, this hotel is definitely worth the stay (their rack rate of 347 GBP however would be entirely too much).

A well designed and spacious room. However, the lack of a water kettle and other basic toiletries like shower caps, disposable razor and soap dispensers pulls the overall score of my value for money ratings. The use of the coffee machine for basic hot water is an issue with me as the dispenser is extremely noisy and wakes up others in the room when you simply just need some hot water. The fact that the water is dispensed through a coffee machine also meant that your hot water will tend to have have this coffee powder smell and taste. Fresh milk for coffee which was suppose to be in the fridge were also not provided on my first day but the reception staff promptly delivered them upon request. Overall, the quality of the hotel room and response of the reception to requests were excellent but some basic deficiencies as stated pull the overall score down considering the the hotel charges.

Booked an executive room for 109. The room (301) was very spacious and divided into a sleeping area and a sitting area. Decor was modern and to my taste but I must admit there were a few annoyances. Light switches for the bathroom were on the wrong side of the door so you had to remember to switch the lights on before opening the bathroom door. There were no bedside lighting/lamps. The television in the sitting area of the room came on whenever I changed channels on the television located in the sleeping area. There were no toiletries in the bathroom when I arrived and I had to phone reception to request for some to be brought up. One final minus point - in the 4 days I was there I was unable to connect to the "free" WIFI.<br />Apart from that I liked the room - which seemed to be designed for disabled access. The (huge) bathroom had no bath but a large walk-in shower and the bathroom door was wide enough to allow for a wheelchair to get through. The room was located at the back of the hotel so it was very peaceful and quiet - important for me as I was working nights and needed to sleep during the day.<br />I would stay there again if I needed to be in that area but I would not pay more than I did.

The hotel is right across from Kings Cross - so really convenient - but it is surprisingly hard to find as the entrance is quite low key. Big room, nicely kept, large bathroom. I was off the street, so no noise issues as reported by other posters - but I think the tradeoffs would be worthwhile even if it were a bit noisy, given the sheer convenience of the location (Kings Cross/St Pancras directly across the street, eastern Bloomsbury 'behind') and at least the LateRooms price. Very good service both at check-in and at check-out.

Lift wan't working so our journey to and from the 5th floor room was slightly more exercise than expected, but other than that, excellent. Lovely night's stay. Booked for the last night of a weekend in London. Having stayed in Easyhotel's functional but basic 'coffin' room, was looking forward to something a bit more special. Warm welcome, contemporary and clean design. Excellent location opposite King's Cross. Comfortable bed, spa-like bathroom. Only criticism was the all over shower was very tempting, but the fixed glass shower screen meant it was impractical to use it and ended up with water all over the floor. Badly designed! Other than that I'd book again, especially at the very reasonable price via Laterooms.

This hotel is very promising. The room was clean and spacious with a reasonably sized double bed and two well-designed single beds that fold away if you're not using them, but which fold out easily to accommodate a child. The fixtures and fittings are modern and attractive with the exception of the coffee making machine. It's designed to make tea or coffee, and in theory is a great idea, but in practise it made lousy coffee and horrible undrinkable lukewarm tea. They need to get rid of the machines and go for a kettle instead. We had room service: our order was taken in a polite and efficient manner, the food was nice enough but unexceptional. The thing that really let this hotel down was the breakfast. My partner chose the full English breakfast, which was good, but my son and I went to look at the very limited buffet, each only took two pieces of French bread, then we were charged 7 each because we'd gone to the buffet. So it ended up costing 40 for a very insubstantial, quite poor breakfast. Next time I'd stay at the hotel, but would avoid the breakfast - there are plenty of places within walking distance that would serve food that's much better value for money. If they can sort out the breakfast, it would make their hotel much more appealing. Other than that, a modern, clean hotel that's centrally located - ideal for the business or family traveller.

I was rather disappointed to find that a hotel directly opposite Kings Cross and St Pancras station didn’t see the need to cater for business travellers by not providing breakfast before 7am. As I was catching the 7am train, I left without breakfast.
A few poor design features:
The internal signage for rooms is non-existent. When exiting the lift on the floor, there should be clear signs indicating the location of the room numbers.
The cappuccino machine in the room might seem to be a good idea. However despite following instructions I was unable to get really hot water from it to make a cup of instant coffee. I would suggest either replacing it or investing in a much cheaper but possibly more practical electric kettle!
It would have helped if there had been a diagram of where all the light switches were, and which switch controlled which light. I had to hunt around for quite a while to find out how to switch the wardrobe light off before being able to get to sleep.
The room size is fine (room 411) if compact. However I feel it would have benefitted from having a smaller bed as there was very little room to manoeuvre round one side of the bed near the window.
There wasnt a mirror near the hairdryer and the location of the full size mirror wasnt close to a socket point. If drying or styling hair, you need a mirror close by.
The air conditioning was quite fierce. Despite fiddling round with the room temperature I couldn’t seem to switch it off. The thermostat was also located in a difficult to see place hidden under the plasma screen.

Hotel Megaro is perfectly placed for King's Cross and the spectacular new St Pancras International station and a cut above what we expected to find in the King's Cross area. It's only been open four-and-a-half months and is very contemporary, both in the public areas and the rooms, which are stuffed with technology - wcould have done with more in the way of instructions for the TV/internet set-up and espresso machine. If we have one criticism it is of the glass-fronted bathroom which didn't seem appropriate for a family room, it could probably use more frosting to preserve modesty all round.

This could pose quite a challenge or even hazard for some guests and will surely detriorate very quickly.<br />Having said this (hoping hotel will pick up this point!), I will definitely stay there again!

An excellent hotel which is brilliantly located. Very well appointed and of course clean. Worth noting however that the price through Laterooms appears to be consistently around the same level so you'd be unlicky or foolish to pay any more.<br />One thing for the management to note (in the unlikely event that they read this!); a few more signs wouldn't go amiss, we tried both of the other corridors on our floor looking for our room before finding the right one!!

The hotel is very convenient for St Pancras (Including the Euro Star) and King Cross (Including the Underground) It is very clean and to a very high standard. My only issue was that I have stayed twice in a Business class room and the first time i got robes, and the second time I didn't get any. Additionally they have a mini bar fridge, but do not stock any mini bar, which I thought was a shame.<br />It is not the best area of London, although it certainly seems up and coming, but if you wanted to explore London, it would be a good base.<br />

I stayed at this hotel one night and...
I stayed at this hotel one night and chose it for its price, the number of good reviews it had received and for its location close to the British Library, where I was attending a conference. <br />Having read other reviews, when I arrived I asked for a quiet room away from the main road - although the receptionist initially queried whether I had requested this when I booked, after I explained that Late Rooms had no facility for this she said she would try her best to reallocate me a room and that if I wasn't happy with it I should just let her know.<br />Although the room (410) was a good size it was long and narrow, and as such it was a bit of squeeze to get past the end of the bed without stubbing a toe on the bed frame, but as I was traveling alone this was only an issue when I needed to close and open the curtains.<br />As one other reviewer found, when I turned on the multi-talented TV I found that it wouldn't work, but one quick phone call to reception and an engineer promptly arrived and rebooted the system for me and I had no other problems with it, and the free internet access was brilliant. <br />In addition to the TV/music/internet system, the provision of excellent quiet Air Con in what was very hot and humid weather was heaven, and in room access to an iron and ironing board was also great, as was the coffee machine, (although as I discovered after a mini flood, the machine required quite a firm hand to lock the coffee pod into place). <br />With regards to the score of 2 for the cleanliness, the reason for this is that when I first went to use the bathroom I found that the toilet had not been flushed from a previous use by someone else, which was somewhat off putting to say the least, but other than that everything else in the room and bathroom appeared spotless. The shower did however, as others have commented on, absolutely drench the floor.<br />As a lone female traveller, in addition to the above, the one brilliant feature this hotel had was a secondary secure lobby beyond the reception and main entrance, which meant you could only access the lift and stairs to the rooms if you had a room key card and as this hotel is situated in a very busy part of London with essentially an open door policy to facilitate access to the bar, despite creating an extra chicane to negotiate with bags, it did make me feel much safer.<br />As for location, if you're coming into or going out of Euston, Kings Cross or St Pancras you couldn't wish for a more convenient location, and the highlight of my stay was going for a late night wander across the road to have a look at the stunningly refurbished, and deserted St Pancras Station.

The provision of fresh milk for the tea was a plus. Only let down was the coffee machine, which there seem to be a lot of problems with: the water wasn't hot enough for tea (and they only provided one tea bag!) and the coffee percolator managed to spray out jets of hot water and coffee. The machine was also noisy. An old fashioned kettle would be better. They probably would have provided one, and more teabags, if we asked, as the staff were very helpful and friendly.

Rooms pretty quiet considering the location - I didn't find the noise a problem and I generally am very conscious of noise. I am going to echo most of the other reviews here. This hotel is absolutely beautiful, the interior is fantastic, my room was amazing, but the noise level can be a bit invasive. It's probably my own fault as the windows are double glazed, certainly in my room they were, and there were thick spongy blinds that probably would cut out a lot of the noise but I left one of the blinds half open for some reason I now forget. The room is air conditioned so no need to leave windows open for fresh air or anything like that. The main problem is emergency services insisting on using sirens even when there's no traffic and frankly that happens all over London.<br />I would definitely stay here again because it's just got a really lovely vibe about it. My room was very attractive and functional and had everything I needed and the bathroom was a real treat. I was on the 6th floor and had great views over the stations and all the goings on of King's Cross. I didn't eat at the hotel or even visit the bar so I can't comment on that, but overall a pretty good experience.

Recently refurbished to a high standard. My (corner) room was large and bright with good fittings etc. It's immediate access to Kings Cross makes it very handy as a base for getting around London.

The Megaro is a modern, boutique style hotel just over the road from Kings Cross station. The staff were very friendly and efficient. I was given a superior triple room which had a large double and one single bed that could be stowed away by pushing it up on hinges into a wardrobe . The room was very large and boasted a large LCD TV with built in computer for internet access and an espresso machine. Internet access was free via the TV or WiFi.<br />The bathroom was fantastic. The shower had a large (1ft dia) shower head and jets that came out horizontally.<br />The restaurant while being slightly pretentious served very nice food and good wine.<br />Whilst Kings Cross isn't the most glamorous part of London, the tube is literally 1 minute walk from the hotel allowing easy access to the rest of London.<br />Overall I would highly recommend this hotel.

It was my first time and I'd want to stay there again - it's convenient for me and the quality of room and food is first rate. But two things bugged me - the wet room shower floods everywhere and you end up paddling your way around after a shower; and the built-in hairdryer seems misplaced - in the room I was in you were facing a TV screen rather than a mirror. Sort the flood, I can live with the TV screen, and I'll return.

This was a lovely place to stay, extremely convenient for travelling to and around London, all clean and new furniture and fittings, and helpful, friendly staff. Air conditioning is a boon in London in summer. It is way better than anything else in the area as far as I've seen, and a bit cheaper than equivalent hotels in 'nicer' areas. They were sympathetic and helpful when my purse was stolen (in South Kensington!) I only had breakfast in the restaurant but the dinner menu looks good.

Nicely desisend and sapcious room and freindly staff and convenient location. However, there were a number of problems -- the espresso machine leaked, the light over the desk didn't have a glass insert, the shower wasn't well sealed , the wireless Inernet signal was very weak & there was no guide to guest services in the room. Also, the signage on the street rfers to the restuarant not the hotel.

Good Bits - Simply superb. I was off to Brussells on Eurostar and found the subway outside the front Door straight to St Pancras. The room was a delight esp the shower and bath. Bed exceptionally comfortable. Bad Bits - Windows are not sound proof and Euston Rd/Kings Cross is not renowned for its tranquility, the gentle whirring of sirens married with the soft screeching of tyres kept me from la la land at times through the night!

I have stayed in London Hotels every year for 2-8 day periods for 25 years. This hotel is easily the best value for money bar none. Large clean rooms with showers that work plus a super friendly staff make for an unbeatable combination. Both thumbs up!!!

We paid a little extra for a deluxe room, which was worth it. The hotel was very clean, the room was great with an amazing bathroom and the staff were very friendly (which always makes a nice change!) The sofa bed was not made up for my son and when we phoned down the manager come up to sort it out! The location is brilliant, across the road from Kings Cross station, with the tube literaly out side the hotel door. We would recommend this hotel to any one looking for a nice hotel with a central location. As the hotel is on Euston road (which is very busy) you can hear the road at night, but it's what you expect in a cemtral london hotel.

The entrance is not well signed. You could easily walk past thinking it was just a restaurant (I did!) The hotel is newly refurbished and excellent value at the price I paid (110). I think the windows are not double glazed which is surprising; it is hard to escape the noise from the Euston Road. Otherwise excellent.

We needed somewhere close to St Pancras so that we could make an early getaway on the eurostar without any hassle and for this it was perfect - we could see the entrance to the station from our room and yet the double glazing ensured a peaceful night's sleep in very comfortable beds. It was a shame that the telly was playing up, they forgot the fuit and water and bathrobes we'd been promised and there were no instructions for how to use anything (apparently they're still being printed). However they were very speedy in correcting these issues. We stayed there very soon after it had opened and to be honest they had probably opened too early without getting to grips with a few of the basics but nothing that would put us off staying again.

No sign outside the hotel made it somewhat...
No sign outside the hotel made it somewhat difficult to find first time around. However, the hotel was remarkably convenient to Kings X and St Pancras stations and nearly all the Tube lines. It was also a very short ride to the West End (Oxford Circus was 3 stops).<br />As some of the other reviewers have stated, the hotel is very new and there are still teething problems. The television wasn't fully functional, the coffee machine had a mind of its own and the room wasn't large enough to accomodate a chair to sit on, although there was a padded bench alongside the window. The quality of the fittings in the room and bathroom were more than acceptable and represented excellent value for money at the rate I had obtained. One really nice touch was the very soft towels, a rarity these days even in the more highly priced hotels at which I normally stay. The free wireless internet was a nice touch as well.<br />I did eat in the restaurant one evening and the food was OK but the menu was very limited. The French red wine I had by the glass was excellent and the cheese platter had actually been allowed to achieve room temperature, again something you don't come across much these days. I also had one English breakfast which was OK.<br />The stay at the Megaro was an experiment as I am a top privilege level traveller with one of the major international hotel chains. When I come to London I normally stay near Park Lane. I have to say I would certainly go back whilst the rate is as good as it was and the ease of getting around overcomes the lack of good recreation facilities in the immediate area around the hotel.<br />Good luck to the Megaro team.

The Hotel had only been open for about a week when we stayed and there was still building work going on although this didn't affect us at all. Very central location (straight across the road from Kinscross Station). We didn't eat at the hotel at all as we were out all day every day but the menu looked good and very reasonable. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was a good size with big TV and free internet and the onsuite shower was brilliant. We really enjoyed our stay and would definately go back although I think the price will go up as the hotels reputation grows.

Very convenient for St Pancras. I was the very first customer at the hotel, so there were some teething problems but all were dealt with quickly, effeciently and with good humour. Very friendly and welcoming staff, the room was very nicely furnished and well-appointed (eventually!) and the bed very comfortable. Will stay here again if I can get a reasonable rate.

Executive room appeared at first really high standard...
Executive room appeared at first really high standard, but several teething problems encountered with newly opened hotel soon changed that view!Coffee machine (without necessary pods)rather than kettle meant could not get hot drink.Room did not have fruit/water as stated, or any soap/shampoo etc on arrival. This was sorted out quickly. However, remote control worked other rooms' Tv's as well as ours, so TV went off a few times while viewing, and while trying to sleep it came on again when other visitors put theirs on!!Had to locate strange plug up behind TV and unplug it all in the end. Fire alarm went off at 12.30am & after waking husband and child, and grabbing coats to leave it went off again. Didn't get much sleep after that, as tens(60-70) of police cars and ambulances sped noisily up and down the busy road outside all night!<br />No hairdryer in the room, but was issued a brand new one at reception to use although had already been out with wet hair at that stage.<br />Ordered Sunday newspaper did not arrive, even after promise of leaving it in the room later when we'd gone out.Arrived back at 9.30 pm to find beds made, but dirty cups and plates still there, and nothing at all cleaned in bathroom. Water temperature was hot from both taps, and shower scalding at some points. Fixed glass panel on same side as taps of bath meant had to enter bath to fill/turn off taps etc which was a bit inconvenient, as I was only doing it for my child and wanted to stay dry. We did have a lovely weekend in London despite the disappointment of this hotel.Didn't realise it had only been open a week when I booked the trip.Hopefully some of these issues will be sorted out soon as receptionist seemed sympathetic and did make notes!

This is a new hotel and a lot...
This is a new hotel and a lot of things went wrong with our stay. First of all they made us change rooms 4 different times because all of the rooms were not complete. So when they finally got us a room that was complete it was ridiculously hot in the room. The television turned on every 5-10 minutes even if you turn it off, and you can't un-plug the television because it was built into the wall. So the television stayed on all night. There was no cold water in the sink and the shower was extremely cold. Also I got charged 235 pounds extra and I won't be able to get my money back until the morning. The only good thing about the hotel was the bed. Overall this is one of the worst hotels I've ever stayed at.
