Customer service was excellent. The room was ok but needed some refurbishing. TV reception was poor, and the central heating did not work. Toilet water was overflowing for around an hour after flushing.Breakfast was excellent. I would use this hotel again.Thank you for your hospitality.

Forced into staying here because of the flight delays due to the volcanic ash. The pictures were completely different to the reality of the room, so much so that I was shocked. The description said all rooms and bathrooms had recently been refurbished. This can only be described as somewhat of a lie - I have the pictures to prove that the bathroom in my room was in no way refurbished. You will not get value for your money and you will not get what it says you'll get from the website.

I have nothing positive to say on this matter as it ruined a good five night stay in Earls Court. The hotel staff were not the least bit friendly or willing to help out. Enraged is my only comment. I will not be staying there again as I travel to London frequently to watch the football.

Well I know the hotel was budget but ............The rooms and we had three of them were very small and not well equiped only one of the rooms had a working hair dryer the TV in my room was ancient and the signal for London rubbish!. The bed was clean as was the bathroom but the rest was very tatty. Breakfast was a joke with no organisation and a matter of queing for a table and getting one if it came free. The waiter couldn't count above 5 which was obvious as there were six of us and he never gave us enough cups, plates, etc and took the breakfast order when he finally got around to us one meal at a time. in the evening I like to sit and have a drink in the hotel bar before bed but not here. the bar was shut and looked as if it had been since 1973. And finally on checking out the price to pay was supposed to be £170 per night as notified by the website and we got charged £255 as VAT was added. No mention of that on the invoice as far as I can recall. Very very poor wont go there again

This was correctly advertised as a budget hotel, so I didn't expect too much. My room was tiny, but adequate, reasonably quiet, dry and warm. The carpet and fixtures were a bit grimy, but the sheets were clean. The bed wasn't the best - and certainly hadn't had one of the new Hypnos beds mentioned - but I managed to sleep okay in it. Breakfast wasn't available before 7am, which made it difficult for me to get before work - and the veggie option was eggs and beans only, making them quite expensive for £6.50! At £55 per night, I wouldn't stay again. I'd say £45 was fairer - and that's mainly for location.

What can I say Well for the price...
What can I say? Well, for the price (£45 per night!) I have to admit that considering it's location, the fact that the brits were in town at the same time, it was great! The room was a little small, I stayed in one of the single rooms - there's a double bed, a bedside drawer unit and a desk / drawer unit and that's about all you can get in! (No you can't have a chair as you need to sit on the bed). Cosy is the word. However it was clean, tidy and comfortable. The corridors could do with updating as they are very 70's but hey that's just decor. For what I wanted it for, a 3 night stay, it was fine. I wouldn't have wanted to share the room however, that would have been a little too cosy! Breakfast was a full english - included in the price which really surprised me, and wasn't bad at all. Standard was good, 2 rashers of bacon, a sausage, egg (scrambled or fried), beans and 2 rounds of toast - more than enough.Would I stay there again - absolutely. Without a question. It was less than 2 minutes walk from West Brompton station and Earls Court which made it extremly convenient. Overall - Excellent. Well worth the money. Thanks guys!

Evening. My stay at your hotel was good. The only trouble when I tried to have a hot shower the water was very cold and I had to get out and have a wash. There was also a party on going in a house very close to hotel which was very loud and went on into the early hour so maybe the windows need a better type of glass. The accommadation besides that was comfortable and the staff friendly. The Breakfast was really good. Thank you I would book up again if needed in the future. Rob Hughes.

Wll where do I begin. Bed I slept in was certainly not fit for a quuen more like fit for the skip, could feel every spring when I moved like sleeping on a cheese grater, slept on and off but woke feeling groggy, room was dull a few new touches light fitting and new taps but paper peeling at the edges and the TV was out of the ark with little reception better when arial removed from the wall. the breakfast staff and cook could hardly understand English. and the £12 parking fee bumped price up to the same as other quality hotels in the area. The only positives I could offer is if visiting Earls Court then almost opposite venue and easy walking distance to some nice restaurants, thankfully.

None of us were happy, the place was like a youth hostel, ceiling tiles were damaged in areas, and rooms were of very poor standard. We will not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Smallest room I have ever stayed in, hardly space to walk around the bed. Main light in room did not work. Room was shabby, terrible unkempt decor, very grubby. Bathroom was not in a state of good repair, sharp objects sticking out of walls, old hinges left where door had been re-hung.Whole room and hotel was in a poor state of decoration, and was grubby and dirty in appearance.Worst hotel stayed in for a very very long time. I know this was rated as a 'budget hotel' but Hotel Lily is more like a 'hovel'. Never again.

We booked quite late and so there weren't many hotels for selection for just a one night stay and Lily was close to where and within the price bracket we wanted to be. The receptionist was pleasant and helpful, the room and batroom, as well as towells, were clean, the breakfast was pretty good too. I've read other people's feedback before the trip and so we found the warm blanket, no problem with being cold during the night then 8 ) . The hotel was probably fully booked and it showed during the breakfast: there was a space for few extra tables, but it wasn't used (why?) and so we had to wait for a bit to sit down. The waitresses were very busy and did what they could and so it must have been the position of our table, which made us invisible for a while...? It shouldn't happen though if you've staff dedicated to a certain area. And the size of the room at the end: good for JUST sleeping, yes and I'd still expect to pay less for it - I stayed in a bigger room, sleeps 3, similar area, including breakfast for £20 less... Ah well, the answer to the question "What is this accommodation suitable for?" is none of the stated (for the room we stayed in), but I'd stay in Lily again, for one night only, when booking late.

Good, no frills basic accommodation. If you just need clean, comfortable, secure accommodation then you cant go too far wrong here. The simple rooms are fully functional if a little small, but ideal for the single traveller or couple. Breakfast included is a little small, but I have a big appetite so probably fine for most others! They offer a good variety of alternatives though. The staff are courteous and very helpful.Great transport connections and immediate access to Earls court exhibition halls.Would definitely recommend to those on a budget wanting to visit London.

If you just need clean room with a comfy bed, clean bathroom and don't want to pay too much, in the direct surroundings of Earls Court, this place does just fine. The place is very basic and should be seen as just a place to stay....It is not exactly a posh place but then again I didn't need it.

I think I was unlucky in that I was accommodated is a seldom used room. It was small, but clean and comfortable. Main problem was that the radiator valve was broken, so the radiator couldn't be switched on, making the room chilly. This was particularly ironic since the room must have been located close to the central heating system, which was very noisy from 6.30am. Also the TV was only able to get 3 channels (ITV, C4 and C5). Breakfast was excellent though and served quickly and efficiently by a very pleasant waitress.

I found the room small but clean. There was no fridge and no shampoo. TV reception was not nearly as bad as I feared from reading the other reviews. The receptionist and general service was decent and to the point. For the price I have no complaints. It was very cheap. It is very close to the West Brompton Tube-Station on the District Line.
