The room was not what we had booked. It was however fairly pleasant. No view from the window.

The attitude of the receptionist left a lot to be desired. Clearly we were a nuisance to her,she had to get off her phone. The room was small but clean. A lot of noise which we had tried to avoid. If you want basic clean room and basic breakfast you will not mind this hotel. Ignore the receptionist !!

Almost like a comedy

Although I slept quite well, the window kept out very little noise, the curtain didn't close all the way, the shower was a trickle, and the toilet insisted on flushing constantly through the night. Breakfast room can't accommodate all the guests at once, and breakfast itself was barely there.

Hotel 82 - good value for money

Great central location and reasonable price. Rooms very clean but little bit tatty around the edges. If you can overlook the odd chip in the desk or a small crack in the sink, it's the perfect budget stay.

Perfect for a Short City stay

I didnt end up spending much time in the room but the bed was fine, bathroom facilities were excellent and price was great. Well worth getting private bathroom as when looking around a lot at similar price were shared facilities. It was a tad noisy but i don't think any inner city hotel would be quiet (if you are a light sleeper do think twice though) and breakfast spread wasn't fantastic. Overall it was a value for money short stay, nothing more needed to be said

Good budget hotel

Room was clean and spacious with 2 twin beds. Lighting was either bright or really bright in the room, but light in the bathroom was dull and not great for make-up etc.
The dead-lock on the door did not work and the door banged every time someone came into the corridor. Also an extremely soft mattress, struggled to sleep on it.
Breakfast was not great, I would pick something up once you leave.
Given the price and location, would recommend, just watch the beds!

A gem of a hotel. Recommend

A lovely hotel, very nicely decorated in a modern, contempary style. Stopped in a double room apartment room.. My only issue was the double rooms/Apartments are not at the main hotel as addressed, but further up Gloucester Place, 5 mins walk from marylebone station. But this doesn't detract, as it is a bit quieter up there, away from the main road.

Good find

Very convienient for me to stay here. Hotel was modern and clean. i had a single room and it was small but Ok for 1 night. It was very hot in the room though and windows were blacked out and could not be opened. there was aircon in the room, bt i could not get it to work. maybe me rather than broken.
comfortable bed.
Breakfast was very limited, to bread, yogurt, cereal and fruit. but if you want something substantial plenty of places nearby to get cooked breakfast.

Overnight stay

I stayed over night at the hotel82london, the receptionist was very polite and helpful with directions i needed, the room was very nice, warm and clean.
The only complaints i have are, THE LIFT, i found it very chlostraphobic and can only really accommadate one person, and i noticed a plastic bag left on the stairs near my room, i reported this to the receptionist but it was still there the next morning.
However these complaints are minor, and for london the price was good! i would book this hotel again.

Great value for money in a great location

I booked quite last minute and needed a hotel in a specific location, after trawling through loads of other hotels and reviews I stumbled upon this one and I'm so glad I did!
It was in the perfect location for us and very close to tube stations and Oxford St shopping.
The price was excellent and much, much cheaper than any others I could find in the area.
We had a twin room, the beds were extremely comfortably plus it was nice and quite spacious, a luxury for a London hotel! The continental breakfast was simple but good quality and hit the spot. We had a ground floor room which was a little noisy thanks to some guests, but that's not the hotel's fault.
The facility for storing luggage after checkout was secure and easy and I would definately use this hotel again.

Good value for money

Clean room, very good location for the price, walking distance from regent's park and oxford street. My only issue was the lack of internal ventilation in the bathroom which did lead to a rather odd smell, though you get used to it. I asked for a quiet room in advance and I was upgraded from a single room to a double and put on the top floor which was nice and quiet as I asked, so the staff do try and meet your needs and are very pleasant. The breakfast was very continental but sadly doesn't seemed to cater for classic English tastes too well as they don't even have toast! All round good value for money though.

Good intentions, but a botched DIY makeover.

Minute room, with a quite horrible duvet that was so thick and hot I gave up and used towels as a bedcover. The electrics look quite alarming, perhaps an enthusiastic schoolboy had been let loose, but I did manage to sleep tolerably well. The multi function shower and the safe did not work, but the breakfast was rather good. I will not stay there again.

Good value for money - refurbed but doesn't quite achieve its potential - great location.

I'd stay again as its great value for money and a great location. Room was narrow and bed was wall to wall x3. Clearly updated it doesn't quite exceed! e.g great new showers with multiple functions but even on the ground floor water pressure was pretty low and there were no shelves to place things on. Breakfast was no frills and modest continental.

Great location at a good price

I was travelling on business, but the hotel was ideally situated from tourists in a lovely part of London. The hotel itself was basic, but very clean and tidy and clearly recently refurbished. The bedroom was a good size for a twin and there was free internet access which was great. Outside the hotel the area was safe and there was a fantastic pub around the corner called the Beehive that did great food and a fantastic selection of wine and beer. The breakfast was continental, but it was nice enough and I found all the staff friendly and helpful.

What a little gem! highly recommend this little hotel. I had a basement room - 03; but despite lacking a view and only a frosted glass window into the lightwell the rest of the room was fantastic. All required features, spacious, clean, warm. The compact kitchen in the cupboard was amazing and were I a business travelling staying for more than 1 night this would be very useful to save having to eat out all the time! Great place. Will definitely stay again.

Well, it's not quite a boutique hotel, being rather basic, but it is in an excellent position for many amenities and just a stone's throw from Marylebone High Street, Baker Street, Oxford Street etc. Staff are very friendly and most helpful and, as a base from which to get around, you won't get much better value.

Great location good value

This hotel is in a great location for London close to Baker St and Bond Street, the hotel only has 4 rooms on each floor and if you are on the fourth floor this can be quite an exercise routine (but there is a small lift). Room was clean and tidy and good size. The bed was very comfortable, shower refreshing and quite powerful. Breakfast is continental with a limited selection but overall good value for money and I would stay there again.

A reasonable 'hotel' experience bearing in mind this was sub-£100. My room was so small it's remarkable that they had managed to get a double bed in there. However, if you're travelling on business - and simply need a room for a few hours sleep in central London - it's fine.

Hotel is well located, just several hundred yards to Oxford Street. Continental breakfast was very nice but will leave you hungry if you're used to full English. There is an excellent pub just up the road. Typical English pub with good food, good beer and good atmosphere. Price of the hotel was reasonable for the the location and would suit short breaks and when you just want to be local to Oxofrd Street. I would stay there again.

I choose it mostly because of the location close to the place I was going to.
