Hangar Lane may be somewhat charmless and congested but a surprise awaits you in this bucolic part of West London round the corner from North Ealing Tube. It ticks all the boxes like many of London’s other design-led hotels – Molton Brown toiletries, Egyptian cotton linen, 24-hour lounge bar, modern art work – but with rooms at a fraction of the price of what you would pay for a West End equivalent. The hotel is 20 minutes from Heathrow airport and with good transport links to the West End you won't feel too isolated being on the city's fringes.
