The Hotel was clean, convenient and friendly. The bedroom was a little cosy and, with slanting roofs, caused a few banged heads. Very good shower. All staff very friendly and helpful, especially the women in the dining area and Francisco at the reception desk.

The hotel is well located with few (4) car parking spaces, so ensure you arrive early to park on-site. There's no close on-street parking as it's located on a red route (a very busy North Circular Road) - All adjacent roads are for residents only, but there is parking at a very reasonable price at the local underground station... although I wouldn't choose to park there ref. security. This boutique hotel is quite charming on first impressions - a nice reception area and the lounge bar was very comfortable indeed. Bar prices are reasonable and the Japanese restaurant looked great, although they stopped serving at 9:30pm which ruled me out (it was a Wednesday night to be fair). The room unfortunately is what let the experience down. I stayed in room 106 which is slightly larger than a postage stamp – or more realistically, a small box bedroom. The bathroom was also tiny, and it almost felt claustrophobic. Practically there wasn’t enough room for two to change comfortably, and whilst the room was decorated well and very clean, it just didn’t meet expectations – especially as it was self classed as one of their “premier rooms”. It did have a garden view as described, although it did overlook the restaurant roof, with only a strip of garden visible… not quite the “garden view” I imagined.Checking in and out was fast and easy, and the member of staff was polite enough. If you’re a business traveler, I would say the hotel is fine, but do consider the parking (or lack of it) – For a commute into London it’s perfect – equally a commute to Heathrow airport. If you’re looking to treat yourself to night or two away with your partner, I would consider the lack of space as it did ruin the experience for us… …On a positive note, I did complain, and was given a £10 reduction from the bill, but I still felt my room was a £70 room, opposed to a £120 room.

Cons: Wafer-thin walls and ceilings, therefore, a lot of noise from other guests (till 2am then again from 6am). Hotel did not honour parking arrangements so had to pay extra for parking at Ramada 1/2 mile away. Very small room. Pros: Clean and very good breakfast.

As a location, Hanger lane is not very inspiring. Hotel 55 bags a great location however, not too far from Ealing common tube and about a 10-15 minute walk from the Hanger lane tube. The rooms are modern, if on the small side (which was no problem for me as a single occupant). The very friendly hotel staff gave me a room on the garden side, which was lovely and quiet and looking from the layout most rooms are not located on the Hanger lane side of the building. For a borough as big as ealing, there is a surprising lack of quality hotels in the area, but this is definitely one to seek out!

The concept and the interior of the hotel are truely gorgeous, the food was realy nice and miles better than the standard of most hotels i stay in.However i can honestly say i had the worst nights sleeps ever, I was in room 101 and the front faces the main road and being a main road through Ealing the noise was terrible all night, i went to bed at 10.15am for a AM meeting and did'nt get to sleep intil 12.45am. Would consider staying again however, if you do saty ask for a terrace room!

Despite being on the main road, this really is a lovely 'suburb' hotel, offering great comfort and welcoming staff. I had read that some people found it noisy, so i requested a room overlooking the garden which was provided. Rooms are small, but very well furnished, and the beds are very comfortable. Next time i find myself in Ealing, i shall have no hesitation in staying at the 55.

Really nice little hotel, great find. My room (No.3) was small but good quality with nice Moulton Brown toiletries. Spending around two weeks away from home every month I get to see many different hotels, I probably slept better in this hotel than many of the other more expensive hotels. Location isn't brilliant for central London, close to Chiswick and Brentford (around 2 miles away). With traffic it will take you around 40 minutes to get to Heathrow.Positive's: Very clean, friendly staff, Modern, good quality & comfortable bedsNegatives: Breakfast was basicI would stay there again though.

We loved staying at Hotel 55. The location was great, really close to the tube station, 20mins into central London. The room was clean and well equipped with all we needed. There was a TV with some satellite channels, big power shower, a few free shampoo's, soap ect. We had a lovely view of the garden. The only downside was the size of the room, it was just enough to get around the bed, and the bathroom was a little tight too. Not a problem just something to be aware of. Also the room was far from sound proof, we could easily here the room next door, thankfully they weren't very noisy or it could have been a nightmare!Breakfast was continental, which was nice. I would have preferred a full English but you can't win them all! The service was excellent and the staff were friendly. The bar was empty when we went there on Saturday night but still it was a nice bar area.
