Usually out of our price range but wanted a treat and yes, we did we get one!
As people had said, the rooms were not huge but ours was lovely. Very comfortable, clean and expensively furnished. We didn't eat in the restaurant as the weather was hot and we stayed out most of the day then into the night taking in the local sites and ales. South bank overlooking the thames being my favourite with san miguel nice and cold!
We had booked 2 concerts, Take That & Blur and on our return to the hotel, the lounge had a little FOC snack either on the side or in the fridge depending on the time. Just, smoked salmon, cold meats, cheese, crusty breads etc, all still fresh and tasting good.
Oh, how dare i nearly forget the staff. Very happy to meet & greet and help in any way, without making it feel false of like i chore. 12/10 for the staff and management.

I only stayed at 41 for a night, but from what I did see the service was excellent - the staff were willing to do helpful things like allow us to leave our luggage there for a whole day after we checked out so that we could explore the sights before collecting it. However, the room was rather cramped - I kept tripping over the desk chair - the promised ipod dock was nonexistent, and there were several hairs in the bathroom when we arrived that belonged neither to me nor to my partner. However, overall good service and a nice place - but maybe worth 200 instead of 270!

We chose to spend the first part of our honeymoon at Hotel 41 and did enjoy our stay there very much. The young South African girl that was on reception was very friendly and is an assett to the hotel, she welcomed us on the Friday and said farewell to us on the Monday.
We felt a little let down by the small room which was dusty in places with no view to which was overlooked by a room adjacent and bathroom to which got a complete soaking due to insufficient screening of shower. Quite a few of the T.V channels had a fuzzy reception and sound was not great, which was difficult as we were worried that if we turned it up to loud it would annoy guests opposite as there was a significant gap under the door.
We had our breakfast delivered to us via room service and the first morning was an absolute delight but subsequent mornings we found the food to be rather cold.
We found the layout of the hotel to be very "Quirky", however as the hotel does not seem to be purpose built we feel that this perhaps lets it down on the basis that best use was made of each space rather than each space being ample and fully fuctional to coinncide with the five stars awarded.
Maybe we may not have picked up on these points had we not stayed at The De Vere Grand Harbour hotel in Southampton the night before which was perfect on every level and alot cheaper with alot more living area.
With this said though, we thought the staff were very friendly and helpful and we would use the Hotel again if we were in the area.

Great hotel, ultra friendly staff, its nice that you dont have to show your key card for everything as all the staff make a big effort to know your name.
Something a little bit different hidden away on top of another hotel so you are guaranteed a really relaxing and quiet time - if you want it..
Overall a great place to stay...

From the moment we arrived at the hotel...
From the moment we arrived at the hotel everything was exceptional, making this our best experience of hotel accommodation bar none. Staff were friendly and attentive and it was clear that nothing was too much trouble, a phrase often mis-used but perfectly accurate here. The room was very comfortable and spotlessly clean, crisp bed linen and huge soft feather pillows (from the pillow menu!), bed turned down each night with a warming hot water bottle. 5 o clock sees the delivery to the room of an ice bucket, lemon and lime slices and olives in case you want to mix a drink - or take up the offer of free canapes in the exectutive lounge which feels just like a library in a stately home, complete with books, leather sofas and fireplace. Afternoon tea was another highlight - also free Plunder the Pantry snacks when we got back from the theatre. It really was ALL lovely and to top it off, they even suprised me with a birthday cake. For us this was a more expensive hotel than usual, but I felt it was worth every penny.

Excellent service - went the extra mile to ensure we enjoyed our stay. Andrew is an excellent Residential Manager. Room clean, comfortable and smart but smaller than expected. Superb position in London. Enjoyed the club-like atmosphere of the executive lounge and the friendly service.

AMAZING This is a fabulous hotel The staff...
AMAZING. This is a fabulous hotel. The staff were just brilliant - nothing was too much trouble and everyone was so friendly and helpful. I cannot recomment this place too highly - if you have the opportunity, go! We enjoyed it so much that we stayed an extra night! The atmostphere is relaxed and a home from home (if only my home was this fabulous...). This meant that we sampled two types of rooms and if you can, I would recommend booking the King rather than the double. Both v luxurious but the King was much bigger and also had a living flame fire which was a lovely touch. But the double was also lovely and very comfortable. We didn't want to leave and are already wondering what excuse we can use to come back. It should have many more than five stars....

Extras such as olives, lemon wedges, bottled water and ice in the room in the room in the evening were great. Staff were brilliant. Room was not the largest I've experienced in this class of hotel, but was well presented.

An excellent boutique hotel which provides very high levels of service. Not for those who like large extravagent palace-style 5* hotels - or those looking for anonymity! Stylish rooms, intimate library-style lounge/restaurant; wonderful beds; attentive staff; and air of exclusivity.

A smart hotel with a difference - small and intimate. My breakfast was fantastic but my evening meal was slightly marred by odd breakdowns in service not expected in a 5* hotel. Overall a very good quality hotel in a very convenient position for business.

Nothing was too much trouble for the staff...
Nothing was too much trouble for the staff at 41. You were made to feel both welcome and appreciated from the moment you walked in and of course an upgrade was most appreciated. The rooms, albeit not the largest money can buy, are some of the best furnished I've seen in my many and varied stays in London. If you're looking for a 'nightlife' then it's not the best location to stoll out and find bars/restaurants, however the in house food, more notably breakfast, was wonderful and served in the delightful library. I will certainly be looking to stay at 41 again and will now be tempted by other Red Carnation hotels.

Exceptional personal service, you get the sense that concierge can fix anything at a moments notice, honesty bar makes you feel welcome, and the little touches are just so right all around. Did not eat dinner but breakfast very good, and pantry available for late night nibbles. Will come back and hopefully stay for longer to make full use of the facilities. Awesome.
