Clean recently decorated room. Bathroom a little on the small side but adequate. Pleasant hotel for a stay in London. Close to tube station (Great Portland Street). This is the second time I have stayed here and would be happy to do so again.

Weekend trip

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Holiday Inn- Regents Park for two nights during the easter weekend. The room was very nice and clean and the bed was made and fresh towels put in daily. I felt the hotel was reasonably price considering the time of year and the week before the royal wedding.
One suggestion I would offer is the hotel should leave more milk for our morning drink! Other than this we were both very happy with our stay. The staff were very helpful and we were able to leave our bags at the hotel whilst we saw London after we had checked out of the hotel.

Very Good

Complaint The position of the safe was very uncomfortable for a person of my age because to close or to open I had to kneel down on the floor and so should be put at a much higher level. Room 625

Tired, worn out look to the room & bathroom.

The room was adequate but the bathroom was really quite poor. Old, worn fittings and lots of scuffed woodwork. Dirty grout on tiles.
Sink totally blocked on arrival. Shower antiquated circa 1970's. Toilet didn't flush at all well so all in all a disaster of a bathroom and very poor value for money considering the room price.
Promised a discount on car parking but when I put ticket in machine was charged full amount. Could not be bothered to traipse back to reception to complain.

Holiday inn regents park

I stayed here for 2 nights on business. The hotel was reasonably priced and welcoming. The hotel is slightly jaded and is in need of some upgrade to bedrooms and landings but perfectly fine for a business stay. The big plus for me is that the beds in Holiday Inn are comfortable.

The stay was OK; but . . .

Our 'standard room' only had a double bed and not a king sized as shown in the photograph, so you need to check when booking in the future, otherwise OK.

Typical London city centre hotel. Overpriced for what you get. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are very small compared to other Holiday Inns but this is Central London. The rooms are also a bit tired. Food in the restaurant is acceptable, but nothing special. There are plenty of alternatives out and about that offer value for money and quality though. Overall I would probably stay here again (but only on my companies expenses!).

Dont stay in an outside room on the lower floors!

Arriving at the hotel late at night (my wife had already booked in) I was disappointed to find that our room was on the 2nd floor on a corner overlooking two streets, as i feared that our sleep would be disturbed by traffic and other noise. My fears proved correct and as a result of traffic noise aswell as people walking by and talking loudly, our first nights sleep was limited and much disturbed. The next day after a brief discussion with the receptionist who was very helpful, the hotel did its best to rescue the situation and when we returned after a days shopping we found ourselves moved to an inside room on the 6th floor, thus enjoying a much better nights sleep.
All in all an expensive place to stay despite its great location and we really dont feel that the hotel bedrooms and bathrooms provide a 4 star experience. Both feel dated and the rooms could certainly do with improved sound insulation. We will choose an alternative hotel for our next trip to London.

Comfortable and affordable city centre hotel

We stayed for a couple of nights whilst attending a conference; the room was clean and fresh although lighting could be a bit better as even with all the lights on it was a bit dim to carry out my speech preparation! Lots of sockets for chargers/laptops/hair straighteners which was good...beds nice and comfy, although I prefer a bit more in the way of bedding, there was only a very lightweight quilt and a a blue throw which didn't really cover anything! I was also a bit mystified by the blue sashes buttoned around the pillows which had helpful labels on saying either 'soft' or 'firm'! Do we really need to be told? Or could we not just lay down and work it out for ourselves! We ate in the bar and restaurant and service was fast and friendly, food was really good on night one when we ordered early, not quite so good on night two, possibly because they were busier; I had to send potato wedges back as they were cold and leathery, but there was no issue with this, and the replacement arrived really fast. Breakfast was fab-but prebook it! Buy on the day and it will cost loads more...we prebooked. We needed to leave our luggage for the day after checking out and the concierge was friendly and efficient-and even dashed off to Great Portland Street to hail us a taxi on our return! Overall, excellent hotel and we would definitely stay there again.
