Summary
Hotel location ideal for sightseeing, almost everything in walking distance. Staff very polite and corteous. Room clean, medium sized, but in need of a refubishment. Safe, iron, minibar etc all present, TV etc excellent but charges for internet and films high. Air con worked well, very necessary in the weather we experienced.
Summary
We are from Australia and over time have stayed at many quality resorts and Hotels , we must say the Holiday Inn Mayfair was of a very high standard and had lovely clean rooms , the decor was lovely and staff also , we will most definately recommend to others , very good value for money in the heart of london .
Summary
Ideal hotel to stay in for convience to Londons sights, only a short walk from everywhere.
Very nice part of town with parks and all the big shops close.
Staff very friendly and accomodating
This hotel could not be better placed –Opposite to the Ritz- 30 sec walk from Green Park tube - and also as Green Park is near everything we were only 1 or 2 stops away from most things on the Tube.
It’s on the same line as Euston
The hotel is clean and the rooms are typical in size - we did not eat so can’t comment.
The room we had is now in need of renovation - the bathroom was clean but chips in the bath and mould on the silicone around the bath and hand basin was not what i expected when booking into a 5 star hotel.
I did point this out to the reception and he did say he would get it sorted.
The staff were helpful and no reason to complain.
Would i stay here again? - Yes for 1 night- if i were to stay for more, the bathroom would drive me mad. But i think we paid for the location – by the way this could be isolated to my room.
Hope this helps
We hired two rooms one for ourselvs and one for our twin daughters both rooms were adequate, clean & tidy.as far as we were concerned we asked for smoking rooms and got them,a pleasant surprise.
we were lucky with the parking on site as well, difficult in that part of london.
only one problem, room was on the cold side, but to be fair it was a very cold night.
For a hotel that is charging almost £300 per night I anticipated that the experience would be pleasant. Unfortunately the sink in the bathroom had a large crack, albeit filled with sealant, with some sharp edges, the taps in the bath were covered in scale that looked as though it had been there for years and there was a chunk out of the wooden headboard. Overall more of a budget rate, Travelodge type experience than a premium one.
