The only downside was the heavy sliding door to the bathroom. Perhaps a door handle could help ease the amount of strenght required to use the door.

Enjoyable stay

We had a great value room and decided to pay an extra £30 to get an upgrade to the executive suite which included breakfast. A nice, clean room with friendly staff and an excellent breakfast and excellent location for attractions like Natural History Museum, V&A, Science Museum and Royal Albert Hall. There are parking facilities available although we travelled on a Sunday and there was plenty of off-road parking when the permit restrictions were not applicable. I would recommend phoning up a day or two before arrival just to confirm with the hotel that they had received booking through laterooms.

Much improved since my last stay

Stayed here a couple of months ago - room was always cold! food wasnt that great.
Had to stay here again.
Happy to say, room was fine - might be something to do with the better weather :)
But also food quality was much better - chicken burger with chilli jam was pretty nice (room service), bacon/cheese burger in downstairs bar/pub was OK as well.

Great hotel

Difficult not to like - 2 min from underground and bus stops. Taxis always available. 4 min walk to natural history museum too. Hotel is 27 storeys high so good views are possible. Rooms are clean, well laid out and comfortable. Breakfasts are excellent - buffet style with 'eat as much as u like' style with continental and full English. Minor bugs were slow internet speed (0.5mb) but refund given, foistiness of some internal corridors and terrible quality juice at breakfast (rest of food was great). Minor points didn't detract from stay. Recommended.

Holiday Inn Kensington Forum

My wife and I were only in London for one night, but we were comfortable in this hotel.Checking in might be quicker with a formal queueing system and another member of staff on duty, especially at our time of arrival, around 13:30 hours. In fairness to those on duty we didn't have to wait for too great a time.
The room was pleasant, but the water for a bath/shower took an inordinate amount of time to reach any sort of warm temperature. The hair dryer cut out after very little use and the kettle would only work if a hand remained pressed on its lid.
Having written that criticism I have to say we would return to the hotel because those were the only negatives and we were assured that all would be remedied for future residents. All the staff were very friendly and the breakfast was most enjoyable and its location favourable.

Overnight

Very busy hotel and obviously used by flight crews a lot. Had booked through late rooms, when I arrived, complete with copy of my booking, they had no record of me. Receptionist just kept repeating that they had no booking and kept saying that I had no reservation despite having my booking details in her hand! Took ages whilst she went off and eventually agreed to allow me to stay! Room was fine, standard but fine, although it was very noisy with aircraft. Food was very nice and breakfast of good standard. However, have now received my credit card statement and they've charged me twice!! once at the original booking time via Late Rooms and again as I left!! Late Rooms on the case and am apparently being refunded!

Nothing special.

Poor first experience at reception as Late Rooms booking details were queried and our entitlement to full cooked breakfast disputed.Eventually settled but no voucher issued and our entitlement to breakfast was again questioned when we arraived at the restaurant the following morning.
The complimentary orange juice, mineral water and chocolate were not present in our room when we arrived but eventually arrived after we had requested them via reception.
Room appeared a little 'tired' and quite small -especially the bathroom. However, it was clean and reasonably well equipped.Good television and programme choice. Comfortable bed.
House-keeping were very zealous and awoke us early in the morning when trying to gain access to tidy the room.Given that we were checking out that morning I would have expected better communication between reservations and house-keeping.
Breakfast was good with reasonable choice of food and good service.
OK for one night but wouldn't rush back.

Why is it not possible not to have sleep disturbed in a hotel ? !

Hotel was fine except for two things : They tried to charge us £67 for 4 breakfasts when breakfast was actually included in the price! Also, someone kept ringing the doorbell for our room disturbing a very deep sleep. Apart from that it was fine, and I would stay there again.

One night in a large hotel

Chosen for its location (we could get an easy bus ride to an evening show in Kings Rd), this is a large hotel. We were given a room on the 17th floor. No sooner had we started unpacking than a workman appears at the door to unblock the sink (we hadn't looked in the bathroom at that stage). Seems strange that at 14.00 they would need to give out a room that still needed working on. Anyway he soon fixed it and departed, but we noticed poor water pressure all the time. Room was OK, a bit small (perhaps not by London standards) and overlooked a railway junction, so trains were audible (avoid room on the west side therefore). Otherwise all OK and served its purpose which was somewhere to lie our heads. Obviously a lot of Heathrow Traffic uses this Cromwell Rd hotel, including aircrew and coachloads of incoming tourists. Didn't try the 'restaurant'.

Less back to the future, more like back to the 1920's!

Staying at this hotel is like stepping into a time machine with beige tinted glasses on! How the Holiday Inn London Kensington Forum has managed to maintain its 4 star rating since it first opened is as shocking as the outdated and dreary accomodation.
Yes, we read the other reviews and did not have high expectations in light of the price, it was the location we were after, but inhindsight we would have gladly paid that little bit extra or stayed further out and got a taxi!
For a global player such as Holiday Inn, this hotel is a shocker that needs serious attention before we will revisit. A real shame as the location is fantastic - probably the reason why they do not consider mordenising it worth while as the geography is carrying this place.

Not sure why this Hotel has been given a 4* rating

Location was great for what we needed, however, I didn't think the rate we paid was value for money considering, there was only one towel in the room, the shower was nothing more than a drip, the room bar wasn't filled, no complimentary biscuits and whe we spoke to reception they did nothing more than say they would pass on the comments. Glad we went through Secret Rooms however we wouldn't stay there again!!

Exec room

Room was fine, I got an upgrade as they didn't have a non-smoking free. Shower pressure was poor.
Gym is quite basic. TV wasn't great. Internet was extra and not wireless.
